I think that depends, how far we are willing to go back. If we look at the original 2 nations (USA/Japan), i think it was reasonably balanced. German BBs already broke that balance. Atleast from what ive heard, i havent played back then. Ofc one might say, you need powercreep in a game like that to keep people grinding. yeah, i think the whole hightier BB concept is bad for the game. On midtiers, the Cruiser <-> BB (or often even BB <-> BB) interaction is much better.

Yeah, the T6 missions still run till the 15th. About the collection: Directives end on 14th, so you cant get the Containers from there anymore. You can get the Containers from the T6 ship missions or buy them with dubs in the armory (not sure if you can buy them after this patch tho...) -
Imo its actually the right way to do so. Because the other way, you gotta keep buffing old ships all the time. However, if you have had balanced ships before, which become bad with the introduction of newer ships, than the newer ones are simply too strong. If you then keep buffing the older ships (to match the new ones), it creates more imbalance between the classes. Look at DDs f.e., since powercreep is a thing. French DDs can easily wreck Cruisers because of their speed and fantasy AP pen. Not to mention, they also wreck DDs hard. So instead of nerfing french DDs (imo Kleber/Mogador arent the only offenders here), you would rather they buff all other ships instead? I dont think thats the way to go... Also to the last part: Well, everyone seems to be playing Smolensk these days. If people dont want to play a certain line, then its just the way it is. If WG interfers with making something brokenly OP to boost numbers, then something like T4 CVs (or better Hosho) happens.

Both, and WG making stupid missions is also adding much to that. Need kills? Hold your fire to get more chance on the kill when target is low. Or my favourite "i dont radar because i cant shoot, someone else will get the kill" ... or yolo ramming ... just add more here. -

Personal preference can always make one ship better than another. But that doesnt really reflect what stats show, or whats happening in CWs. Noone plays Hindenburg in CWs because of Henri. Well, now that Hindenburg gets its old reload back, this might change again. Sure, 1 ship will always be better than its competition, especially in CWs. But i really dont think that nerf will have a major impact on random battles really. Acceleration/deceleration dodging is not something you see often in randoms, and imo its not as necessary there either. Hindenburg and Zao are both viable in Randoms, even if they cant dodge the same way as Henri. But in CWs, you can see this all the time, and you cant reliably hurt a Henri at 17+km dodging like that. So while balancing shouldnt be necessarily done because of CWs, this nerf will have a bigger impact on CWs than on randoms (imo). As i said above: I dont even think the average player will feel that nerf, as they are incapable of playing the ship like that. And if better players perform better in Henri compared to Zao/Hindenburg is something i can only guess, but WG might know it ofc.

Thats a really bad arguement tho. Since randoms are not about playing 1v1s, and they are the main feature of this game. DDs shine, if they are undisturbed by other DDs/CVs and can torp/shoot enemies, which are engaged with your teammates. DDs can also cap in randoms, but in 1v1s you will get pushed out of the cap by every ship bigger than you. Alltho i have to say, an Akizuki can easily kill a CA by sheer DPM.

Thats probably the most reasonable nerf they could give it. I think, Henri definetely needs a nerf, because its straight up better than its direct competition (Hindenburg/Zao). Can easily explained by looking at CWs, Hindi and Zao are basicly dead, everyone takes Henri. More Henris = better. That nerf will target better players. I assume, Henris impact rises more with player skill than other ships. Most players wont even feel the difference i think. And i dont think they will murder it with this nerf.

Its the specific situation of a 1v1 between Stalingrad and PR. Stalingrad is good at having cross-shots at unsuspecting targets across the map. In a 1v1, there is no surprise moment, so Stalingrad cant get a broadside volley off. Doesnt mean its a bad ship, its just not good in a 1v1 situation.

Yes. But Kleber should receive full BB AP pens like Harugumo and Khaba to balance them between each other.

You spelled Hakuryu wrong I think Stalingrad might fare really bad there. While mostly good players have her, they would hesitate to take her into a 1v1 (i know i would). Eats AP Bomb cits. Doesnt have broadside shots (which it needs). No torps. Huge citadel if its getting rushed. So wouldnt surprise me if Stalingrad would be <50% WR ship Kremlin/GK Hindenburg Haku/Midway Kleber Should be good picks for each category.

Imo yes. Its more of an AP monster than Conq tho. If you want an HE shooter, pick Conq. If you want better AP, take Thunderer. And then you have the much better dispersion nowadays. Thunderer has nothing in common with old 457 Conq, thats why, its better. But might also be, that Thunderer has a higher skill ceiling, since it also doesnt have that monster heal.

Yeah, but i meant [edited]-in with kiting. Also whether Stalingrad has 25mm or 50mm would be no difference in this scenario, as PR has 50mm HE pen. And with both ships having almost 20 sec reload, it should be possible to use all guns for either of them, without having to fear too many citadels. Ofc you could hold your shot, but then Stalingrad can just decide to not use frontturrets, and having 1 turret vs not firing enemy is still better

Sure you can kite. The point is: what result you want in this 1v1. Winning by kill or winning by capture points or whatever. While Stalingrad does have worse detection (how much is it - like 1km or so?) It can turn in advance since you know where the enemy is coming from. Then reverse till spotted. If game is to be decided by killing, PR has to start shooting before it gets spotted himself to have atleast some advantage. If Stalingrad is moving away from PR, its kiting. Range does not matter, as its only about moving away from the target. If Stalin is locked bow-in, it should lose against PR.

So if WG would add nukes to the game (which you can only buy for real money, lets say 5€ a piece), which insta kills every enemy ship on the map, this would be fine and we should accept it? Since obviously, we dont need to have counterplay against everything, so we should suck it up? Sounds like a fun game -

Yes, PR should win this actually. Reload is bad for both, so both could use their backturrets aswell, giving PR superior firepower (9vs12 guns). If PR gets close, it can easily Citadel Stalin, while i assume, Stalin cant do that to the PR. Stalin might win if: - it can kite away, making it harder for the PR to hit him. - if it manages to break atleast 1 turret permanently. But here we are in RNG territory, which means, either could win by enough fireluck.
