    That would make the game even worse than we have now. What is the biggest problem if you compare Midtiers to hightiers? Static gameplay. Everyone complains, how campy it is, because BBs can just sit bow on and do nothing against each other. Where is the difference to midtiers? BBs can mostly overmatch each other, being stationary bow on would make you much more vulnerable than actively moving around. Not to mention, those BBs lose more firepower compared to their hightier brethren. And then you have ships like Sinop with 66% firepower in the front with idiot proof armor which can just sit there and tank shitload of damage. Its wrong, and thats the issue. Removing overmatch will only make it worse, then we have Cruisers bowtanking too, since their DPM is superior to BBs. And using HE in BBs gets kinda mandatory. The optiomal thing in my book would be: Make BB bow/aft overmatchable by BBs. Midsection should bounce the shells if properly angled. You could make it even so, that Yamasushi can overmatch midsection to retain its uniqueness over others. CL Bow/Aft should be overmatchable by 203mm CA AP, to give CAs a fighting chance against CLs with their superior DPM. Its upside down atm, because CAs need AP to level the playing field. CA Bow/Aft should get overmatched by BBs, but make the midsection bounce them.

    They deal overpen damage same as on any other section, BUT you can only heal the same % as it would actually hit the citadel, unlike overpens through other sections. To the rest of you post: Buff BBs more? apparently, BBs have it too hard or what... Based on what you conclude that?

    If you have the feeling, that you cant damage the kiting cruiser enough, then you have to disengange. Those ships need time to wither you down, if you give them that, you are playing into their hands. Focus on something else, if you have the objective, dont follow him. When you dont follow, he has to come back. If he gets spotted while returning to the fight, he has a problem, because now he is locked into a bow-on position. The only chance for him, is to make the turn, and then you have the upper hand because then he is vulnerable.

    How does the end scoring work?

    I dont really think, that most people play the way they do because they progress faster by playing like that. Since you can observe premium ships being played the same way, which wouldnt make sense since you dont need XP on those to progress anywhere. However, you can see stupid play all the time depending on what missions WG is giving us. Need fires/citadels with BBs? Every BB starts to shoot HE... Just as an example, but you could see that the last 2 weeks~. Also, i dont believe you can increase your damage endlessly, while dropping your WR into sub 50% level. Sure you can farm HE damage with a BB on other BBs, but that often gives very little rewards. Sometimes, less damage gives you more XP if you deal it to the right targets: DDs or highter tier ships (preferably DDs/Cruisers). Not a lot of damage at all, yet i was first in XP and with over 2,2k it is quite good too. But basicly that entire damage was on 2 DDs, more than 50% + i killed both. I would probably need to farm 1,5 TX BBs to get the same XP out of them. And whats easier? 25k to DDs or 150k to BBs? Or how about this one from yesterday: First in XP with meager damage. But i didnt focus on farming those BBs. I shot a TX DD and i tried to blindshoot the Smolensk in smoke. I basicly rushed several enemies because it was won anyway and didnt care if i die or not. The smolensk survived with 3k btw before i died... You get way more XP by prioritizing the right targets, which often gets you a higher WR aswell.

    Maybe it was a premium T2 ship so it really was his first battle? If you check right after the game, it doesnt show immediately. Ive had people in T7-8 premiums without any random battles played previously... more than once....

    Question about GK.

    Many people prefer to play ships from their own nation - and many people playing this game are from germany. GK isnt played so much because its so strong. And if you are new, you shouldnt think too much about playing T10 ships right away. Its probably easier for CVs, because for them not much changes through the tiers. If you can dodge flak, you can succeed on hightiers too. But for other classes, its entirely different. And playing secondary GK is not that easy these days.

    Orion: Mostly HE. AP can be useful vs broadside BBs when they think you only shoot HE. Iron Duke: Never played it, its an Orion at T5. However, i would consider using AP against broadside Cruisers when in a T5-7 game. RN AP is brutal against Cruisers because of the short-fuse. QE: Forget about HE here, use AP. It has big caliber guns for its tier, so you can overmatch a lot of BBs (except T8s). KGV: Most people use it as an HE spammer, but i got sick of it, and switched more to AP. You might not get Citadels on BBs, but you can get a lot of pens. Early game i used more HE for DDs, then more AP. Monarch: I played it with both, a little bit same like KGV. If lowtier and you see angled targets, use HE. If broadside, use AP. Not playing Lion&Conq, i dont think they offer anything for me at this point. Ive heard bad things about Lion tho... Forget about AA. Dont use skills to boost AA. Its useless. CVs will always be able to drop you. If you want, use fighter plane on T7-9, but i do prefer Spotter plane due to the limited range of their guns + shooting behind islands. If torpbomber are coming for you, turn towards them. Against rockets you cant do much, just take it. And against bombers you can try to turn left/right when they drop you on the length of your ship and hope, you get less hits. But always remember what else might happen if you turn, especially at T7+ when RN BBs actually have a citadel. Turning broadside to a BB can hurt much more than taking a torp or 2.

  12. Aim at the bow - you can overmatch that. But not his side armor. He was bow on too often, you could have punished him easily. If you are uncertain, either try it or use HE.

    Can always give CVs both HE and AP rockets. Problem solved comrade. I wouldnt wonder, if Russian CVs have atleast 5 different planes to pick: - HE rockets - AP rockets - HE bombs - AP bombs - Torps - Maybe DWTs? - Something else you can come up with when you drink enough vodka, may i suggest the A-bomb?

    Ok, you gotta tell the guys at WG HQ to stop smoking / drinking whatever it is that they are doing... i guess 10-15k volleys against Cruisers with 40k HP is not enough, need to be MORE devastating... REALLY? [edited]REALLY?!?!?! How about some Rockets that can only [edited]BBs and CVs, but i guess that doesnt work when peoplen in charge are CV/BB mains who have to pamper their own wet fantasies.
  17. I basicly wrote about removing CV spotting over half a year ago. At first, i was against it when others were talking about it, because it removes teamplay from a teamgame, which is always bad imo. But after some consideration, it would be the easiest fix. sure, bad CVs get even worse due to that, but i dont see a reason, a bad player should be able to influence my game just because he plays a certain class. Put him in any other class, and i make him bend over
  18. You compare unicum DD players not getting shut down by noob CV players. Which is... not a big surprise? They are already putting more of a strain than any other class. Am i bothered playing BB when enemies have noob DDs who suicide within 3 minutes? Nope, they wont touch me.... Putting Unicum CV vs Unicum any other class, CV will win it. (no, 1v1 training rooms are not representetive, before some people come back with "evidence")
  19. Never heard that they actually tested it except recently for CV spotting in CBs. Did WG ever do the smart thing when it comes to balancing? No. Often, they go the wrong way and [edited]up the ship in the process, example Hindenburg: Gets nerfed while direct competetion gets buffed. Hindenburg is now underperforming, gets an extra heal. Which, surprisingly, doesnt do anything. Ok, revert reload nerf back to 50%... still not enough. Well, lets improve reload back to pre-nerf with an extra 0,2, to "fix" the first nerf. Now Hindenburg has faster reload an extra heal compared to pre-nerf times That literally says everything, how incompetent they are.

    No it wasnt, stop lying... I saw it too without the video link Nah cant have that. CVs need to be pampered left and right. Probably the CV hull will be flying soon aswell, so it cant be touched by the pleb-races.

    He does have improved Aircraft armor and getting a witherer in RN CVs shouldnt be too hard either. Imo first choice is CV, then Conqueror (or any HE shooting BB) and probably Daring. Daring can get 2 floods / 2 kills for extra speed/consumables. JoaT decreases consumable cooldown.

    Couldnt be further away from the truth. But Yamato does have pretty slow shells aswell, they just dont lose much speed at range. And if you dont enjoy them - dont play them? There is enough variety of ships, so play what you like. Makes more sense to force other ships into a role they arent made for. French and Russian BBs have pretty fast shells. But French have small caliber (except Repu) and they tend to overpen and shatter a lot.
