I think their goal is, to confuse players as much as possible: Constant changes to basicly everything ensures, that most people will not attempt to learn/keep learning the mechanics to be a good player. If playerbase is dumb across the board, its success for WG and they can keep milking money from us. So its a success i guess...

I wouldnt even wonder, if we get BBabies complaining more about fires now. If the average player thinks, IFHE is bad now, naturally, they have more firechance than before. Direct damage never was an issue for BBabies, they cry about fires...

I guess you get 25mm pen now, so that would mean Gearing side plating and Cruiser Bow/Stern (not all tho). Dont think thats worth it.

Even more interesting, Kutuzov lost its 26mm side plating, which is now 25mm Deck got buffed to 27mm ofc. While this is intentional, i think for gearing they didnt really care in the first place.

Henri: I wouldnt use it anymore. I dont think, it was mandatory to begin with. In CBs, yes, but noone is playing Henri anymore. Hindenburg: I would keep it. You have to remember, TX ships have basicly -50% fire reduction coefficient. So in reality, its only like 2% for Hindi (i did the math somewhere before). Hindi with IFHE + DE/Flags had 14% firechance before, which is around ~7ish% in reality. Now you go down to ~5,25%. Not a big deal imo. Cant say about RN CAs, havent bothered with them yet. I think, the firechance is too high, so you lose too much. For Hindenburg, you probably wont notice is, since (atleast for me) getting fires with Hindenburg always was heavily RNG dependant. But for the other 2, i think its different.

Yes 152mm can only pen 37mm of armor. About the 180mm guns: Its kinda the same as before tho. And about Mogami, i think they dont care, or they already plan to do something about it. I wouldnt wonder, if we get a CL/CA split for IJN Cruisers, and then they "fix" it along the way. Till then: who cares? WG doesnt. And if you wonder about weird stuff: Helena and Cleveland use the EXACT same guns, yet one pens 25mm and the other 30mm

While i 100% agree with your post, this however, is probably not true for WoWs: Longterm players dont need anything. They already have enough. I dont need any premium ship at this moment, i dont have to spent money to just play the game. New, inexperienced and mainly "unaware" players - thats the bread and butter. Spending money to just play your day to day TX ships? Thats good. Spent small amounts constantly, thats better than just buying a premium ship. Premium time here, exchange dubs for Credits/FreeXP there and containers or other stuff.... Thats whats happening IMO. Sure, there are some whales around who basicly buy anything - i know them. But we have to ask: Are those the MAIN customers for WG? I dont see it

Yes. IFHE reduces base firechance by 50%, then you add DE and flags after that. edit: before? no, it should be after. I didnt read properly... i wouldnt trust wowsft on that one.

You still need it to pen 32mm - nothing has changed in that regard. Only change, you can pen up to 30mm without IFHE, which basicly means midsection of TX Cruisers (and all other cruisers in general). But direct damage always trumps DoT damage imo. What if you dont get permafires on a BB? Then you are screwed...

Khaba pens DDs without IFHE, except Gearings central part Also Khaba pens BB superstructure without IFHE, but IFHE has no impact on BB plating. Basicly you just gimped yourself

T8 CLs want to pen 32mm for BBs tho, which you only get with IFHE. Also, 180mm guns dont get 1/5 rule, it stays 1/6. Only 152/155mm get 1/5.

From my experience: Fuso is pretty good in general, but my Fuso had the bad teammate plague... / Normandie only played in OPs, cant exactly recall how it was, i think i didnt like it / Didnt like Bayern either tho Nagato very nice, but the plague stuck to it aswell / Lyon also very strong, i think slightly better than Nagato / Gneisenau more unique than the others. But back when i played it, average playerbase was also still playing the game, and not some dumb crap we see now Amagi hated it, every game felt like a struggle to me, even tho its my 2nd best Silver T8 BB after NC / Richelieu feels like a stinker. I get 3 bad games, then a good one, guns are VERY inconsistent / Bismarck hated it back when i played it. Now i think, its better than Monarch and Richelieu, maybe better than Amagi too. Izumo - skipped it out of boredom. Id rather play Musashi / Alsace sounds like a stinker too, essentialy a bad Bourgogne / FDG - once again, skipped it due to infuriating guns. Yamato nice / Repu nice (dont have it yet, but i liked the space Repu in those weird battles) / GK nice

Ive always had bad fire luck I have like 15? witherers (could be less) and i have >3k games with Cruisers. Says everything imo. Thats why, i keep shooting AP, as HE is kinda useless for me.

Its still mandatory: - T6-7 CL without IFHE shooting sametier BBs -> cant pen, because you have 25mm pen, but BBs have now 26mm plating. - T6-7 CL without IFHE shooting T8-9 Cruiser -> cant pen, because they have 27mm deck or entire central part. So in same tier MM, you are effed against BBs, but if you are lowtier, you could just roll over and die.

Compliment: - If doing outstandingly good, which usually means outscoring me or any of my division mates. Just 2 days ago complimented an Albemarle who kinda killed the entire flank on his own. - If someone does something which i ask him to do: CV helping vs DD or a DD giving me smoke, just as an example. Reports: - too much Yolo suiciders, people insulting others, AFK people in either team, actively not playing the game.... probably more

Based on 203mm SAP penetration, 381mm guns should have roughly ~101/102mm penetration if they go by the same rule. Which i think, is already bad enough. Ofc bounce angles will mostly influence this, but i cant see it having worse than normal AP angles. And not to mention overmatch: 203mm SAP has limited overmatch capabilities, literally none in hightiers. However, thats not the case for 381mm SAP. It can go through a lot of Cruiser bows, and even some lowertier BB bows! And if you cant reach the citadel, you will still deal more damage than with AP. Smoke... BBs dont need a jail free card for emergency situations But i guess we discovered the Italian Techtree BB gimmicks now

Also Cruisers with less than ~101/102mm Citadel armor, as i think, 381mm BB SAP should have roughly that amount of penetration. Why shoot AP in the first place? For overpens? nah, better than the guaranteed smack in the face against everything. Maybe if you get an enemy BB which has a citadel close enough to multicit it.
