Does he have some pattern in his movement? Ive seen bots that - are fast moving left and right, which i thinks is to trick WGs anti-bot programming. You can see the ship is doing slight left and right maneuvers ALL the time. - Not moving until spotted. You see tons of those, that must be bots. They are "AFK" till they are spotted (or sometimes even shot at) then they suddenly start to move.

Id like to add, that 2 minutes might be the time he stays in battle. Add to that: - Entering queue few secs - staying in queue can sometimes be a minute these days, not to mention, if you play 24h a day you will slip into off-hours at some point, making it more likely to have longer queue times - loading into the battle ~ 1 minute i think till it actually starts. - Going back to port few secs again. So even if you suicide 2 mins into the game EVERY time, your average time for 1 game is still like 4 mins atleast. Not to mention, dying after 2 mins every time is highly unlikely (BBs f.e.) and sometimes enemies just run away from your flank, so you cant always suicide into them.

You can forget about AFT, thats pretty much useless. Personaly, i removed all AA builds from any ship with the rework, as it almost makes no difference. Against bad CVs, i can dodge good enough, they miss drops or they straightup die to my flak. Against good CVs, BFT wont help me either, not to mention, they are rather uncommon (thank [edited]for that...) I personaly prefer EL, as i stated above. Till now, ive been playing with Honore and only recently got 17 points. I think ill take PT and PM instead of another 2 pt skill, even if Honore has improved EM. But i havent decided yet. The fast shell switching has been very useful for me, especially since all those 3 have small caliber guns, so you rely more often on HE, but you might need that AP fast.
-
For randoms or Coop? As you are kinda playing a lot of Coop from what i know Randoms standard tank build: - EL - i prefer that over PT on french BBs (reload boost), since their caliber is rather small, and for the Premiums with reload boost, you can swap between HE and AP extremely fast. - AR obvious choice. EM you dont need for JB, since you only have front guns imo. You could take JoaT as last skill, or take PT and PM, because french BBs like to lose their turrets often. - SI / BoS obviously - CE / FP also obviously For Coop? Dunno, even a secondary build might work there. However, your bigger secondary guns are facing aftwards so its kinda iffy. Or just go with the same tank build.

Id like to add: I dont think the Dynamic one ingame is working the way it should work. If you want to try another one, use the Nomogram from Modstation, it scales with the distance you are shooting at, so it truely is dynamic!

Is AFT still the go to 2nd 4-point captain skill for RN cruisers?
DFens_666 replied to EE51500's topic in General Discussion
RPF is very nice imo, especially for Radar Mino. As the others said, AFT is practically useless. Massive AA is even worse, it NERFS your AA, dont use that! BFT is a bit more useful, but also not worth it. A competent CV player will strike you regardless, while an incompetent one will often die to your flak. Skills you can take instead: - Vigilance if you want to spot torps even further away - SE because you can But there have been instances in CBs for me, where i actually survived thanks to SE, so you never know. -
Having low Impact on random battlesbut way bigger one on ranked/clan battles
DFens_666 replied to Aimbotborris's topic in General Discussion
- Small sample size (20 ranked vs 1440 random games) - 2 games 1v1 ranked sprint have no indication really. - Basicly only lower ranks, so high chance that you played against rather bad players. - Due to small sample size, you might have been lucky. If you would play more, try to get higher ranks, your WR would adjust itself. Depends on the ships you are putting together, aswell how you play together. Playing together doesnt automatically have a positive effect on your team. If you put below average players together, they will do worse and lose more often. Also, if you are in a division, you have a very high chance to have a (better) Division against you on the enemy team (since the maximum difference of divisions in the teams is 1, so it could be 1vs0 division, but not 2vs0). If you play solo, you might have the good division on your side.- 3 replies

Do you think, anyone would have made a remark in regards to his english skills, if he wouldnt have said that he is a teacher? I dont think so. Yet, here we are, because for some reason he wanted to show off? Being good at something else (which obviously backfired pretty hard), doesnt mean that his proposals have any meaning regarding wows. Im not going to another game forum either and say "hey im a noob here, but i have Unicum stats in Wows, so here are my proposals to make this game better" doesnt make sense ?!
-
I doubt that very much. First the things i already mentioned, but there is other stuff too. Like Bots going for Rams. Sometimes, when you get Bots on both sides, they ram each other, or not. I think the stupid bots take the ram, while smarter bots avoid it.
-
Apparently, Champagne has almost same pen as Slava... but on T8. Blue: Champagne Red: Slava Yellow: Shikishima
-
Personaly i think, that depends on the skill level of the bots. I assume, there are 3, same as bots you can put into the training room. Skilled bots have a tendency to dodge torps right when you launch them, and i think they angle against you if you load AP. Atleast thats what ive been observing occasionally. The AP angling can be spotted easily: switch back to HE and they show broadside again.

While i not necessarily disagree, im further away from agreeing with that tho. Good players only playing high-skill hard to play ships is a myth. Look at pre-nerf YY or Henri. They were basicly top WR ships on TX for their class (disregarding premiums like Stalingrad). What happened after the nerf? Their WR plummeted to the bottom. Pete just posted 2 months Data, showing Henri WR at 3rd last, which really surprised me. Why is that? Good players actually stopped using those ships alltogether, and pick a more suitable one. Like Venezia instead of Henri now. Some of its stats are borderline rediculous like >50% survivability. https://wows-numbers.com/de/ship/3655251408,Smolensk/?order=win_rate__desc&p=1 and if i look at that, i see a lot of familiar super unicum clans/players up there. Well, then you would need to trust WG on that, as they have the data for it. And according to their own words, they use it to balance ships aswell. There is no indication on the data available to us, that Smolensk is performing better for anyone. On average, it performs worse than other ships.
-
why should it, it only has 380mm guns?
-
And Bourgogne (and Slava if it ever comes to that).
-
But where is the line? Is it only Smolensk? I doubt that, i think it already started with RN CLs back in the days. But RN BBs, IJN gunboat DDs and others are also bad for the game and annoying to play against. A Conqueror slinging HE from longrange, getting a couple of fires with every salvo is equally annoying, maybe even more so, since you cant even actively engange him because that would be stupid. WG does what they want anyway. If we use feeling as a balancing tool, then we get reign of the BBabies
-
Ive come to peace with Smolensk. They hardly bother me, they bother me less than CVs, and average CV player is... crap If someone claims, Smolensk is OP in ranked, then they havent picked the right ship to deal with it. If Smolensk bothers you in random, then you are probably doing something wrong. I know, kiting Cruisers at 17km dodging constantly with armor that can sometimes bounce all your shells is much worse than a Smolensk.
-
Is she OP for good players tho? I dont see it tbh. It lacks something to actually influence the game. Sure, its good at farming noobs, but that hardly wins a game. The "strong"point for Smolensk should be easy to play. Apparently not easy enough for bad players. Maybe for average players? If we look at those ships (lets forget those with less battles played), basicly the more games a ship has, the worse its avg WR is. Naturally more games usually means also more individual players, and more individual players also means more bad players have access to that ship. How does it look for the Top 50% players? Hindenburg/Zao are last, they also have the most games played. Skip Yoshino. Mino slips behind DM, not a big surprise, DM is/was a strong ship with good game influence thanks to Radar (killing DDs) and it used to be a strong AA ship aswell pre-rework. Moskva again back in place, but now it doesnt fit anymore. Wooster and Henri have more games played, but they are still ahead of Smolensk. Wooster is less of a surprise, because once again it was an even stronger ship (still strong ofc) due to its utility. Henri has less utility, but good firepower. Still, they beat Smolensk, even if more players are in the group for Henri and Wooster. And it doesnt change even if you look at top 25/10/5% players. So we can conlude 2 things imo: - Good players stay away from Smolensk because lack of utility or - Smolensk has less influence overall regardless of who is playing it. I really cant see it being OP. Ofc i agree its broken / annoying to play against / bad for the game... but its not overperforming.

Maybe doesnt make much sense to give 1 ship of the line a plane, when the others have none, if the others were not supposed to have one. Also, russian BBs dont need to have more range, its ok that they cant equip a spotter plane.

Holy s*** the Shchors is (a bit too) good!

Ok so i checked mine, so its just how the person doing that mod has implemented it I use the one from Modstations, and there it looks like this: The Kirov replacement is still a premium and seperate from the others. Basicly so are the T8-10 Cruisers, Petro is also in a seperate place Not necessarily disagreeing here, but 78% out of 23 games could be decent player + luck. To show the opposite side: My first 20-30 games with GK were horrible. Most of those games simply could not be won. I got GK in 2018 and only played it then + last year. Those are my 2019 games with it. I won 44 out of 58. And those are all my games with GK. So in 2018, i played 21 games with it, and won only 7, since i won 51 out of 79 total. Gives me a WR of 33%. Justified? Most likely not, it was just a lot of bad luck at the start. So i dont really trust any individual ship WR with below 50 games. And even then it hasnt necessarily evened out. -

Ill have to check myself (i use the mod too) or post a picture. Its most likely because Kirov is getting replaced. -
Sorry to hear that Alltho i would be lying, if id say that i feel differently... not much enjoyment lately, thus ive been playing other games more. Anno 1800 is really awesome, got that because it was on sale, can only recommend that Well, goodbye mate, maybe we meet again somewhere else

Damage itself isnt necessary an indicator for being a decisive factor for winning a battle. For example, farming fire damage on BBs is hardly deciding any games, atleast positive that is. While having 40k damage with 30k on DDs could be a huge contribution.
-
This is most likely the cause for it. First one is your average tier over all your battles, and the other 3 are your recent/last week/last 3 week. You play more hightiers, while you obviously arent ready for it. If you play more midtiers, you could get a higher WR. Play more hightiers, your WR will most likely drop. Playing in division doesnt automatically mean, that you can carry/win those games. Sometimes, it just doesnt really work that well. And then there is the synergy between ships: If you pick a bad combo (3x DD or BB f.e.) you might hurt your teams chances even more. The DD division i could atleast somewhat confirm, looking at your clanmates (11 T9 battles, 10 of those 2 of you picked a DD) i can pretty much guarantee you, that this is not the case.

He might have a better chance lobbying for a "kill-assist" ribbon for the person dealing the most damage to a certain ship.
