    I currently have Halsey on it, basicly BB captain. You could use a CA (DM) captain aswell, but i think, tankbuild is better - EL because its improved on Halsey and that fast switching is EXTREMELY useful on Alaska. - EM (again improved) + AR - SI - CE / FP Since he is not 19 yet, im still missing BoS. The only difference is, whether you have FP/BoS or something else. But that something else is probably less useful. Works well enough i think

    Ships are balanced with concealment, otherwise BBs would be too strong. A ship in smoke can see you, if one of his allies is spotting you for him. There are only very few exceptions to that. Thats why you dont move in a straightline all the time. If a DD torps you from lets say 7km, the torps take like 30-40 sec till they reach you. So if you change your course and speed occasionally, you wont take those torps. About the firechance, well its exactly that. Can be first hit, can be after 10 hits, might be they get no fire for 50 hits. Its RNG. Overall, you arent experienced enough. If you wanna get better, you have to learn those things. Easiest way would be, to play a DD yourself and see how it goes.

    I had good success with smoke Mino while not necessarily sticking with the rest of my team. Its nimble, accelerates ultra fast, rather small-ish and has smoke. If the CV was attacking me, he couldnt spot for his team where the rest of my team was. So keeping the CV busy does something, contrary to randoms, where its absolutely useless. If the CV wasnt going for me, i could just farm the enemies as they couldnt shoot me because i was unspotted or sitting in my smoke. Noone could sneak up on me either, because my CV would have prevented that, not to mention, a DD coming close is like a death sentence, and even Cruisers would take huge damage and the torpthreat ofc. The BB couldnt really go for me, as it would have opened up the path for our BB.

  6. DC mod gives a straight forward buff, there is basicly no game, in which you wouldnt benefit from it. Propulsion however, does not. Not every BB should sit stationary anyway, as it either loses too much firepower, or would get overmatched easier (depending on the opponents) If anything, rudder is the valid alternativ. You can swing in and out to use your backturrets faster, or angle into incoming shells. I use all the available antifire measures on my BBs - i literally burn all the time despite that.

    Bad clans will probably stay in the 2 lower leagues as always where they might just play with BBs amongst each other. But Storm+ its probably CV all the way.

    I dont see the issue Was it an awesome game? not really. But i played within limitations of my ship. The spawn was horrible enough for our division, as we were at C, and the rest of our team went to A. While we had to face mostly T9 ships. Lucky for us, the Black and Fletcher didnt continue to chase us, because they were at our cap aswell.

    Sorry, i totaly have to disagree here. This is not what i experienced. I had lots of fun, and so had the 4 others playing with me. We won 15 out of 17, which is really good i think. Sure, we had a SU CV player with us, but it was often more beneficial for him to play for the team, IF the enemies played as a team aswell. If they went solo suicide, they got spanked for it. Then again, they would get spanked even without a CV? We faced a lot of Typhoon clans aswell, so i wouldnt say they were bad clans in general. For some (obvious) reasons, i enjoy CVs more in competetive gamemodes. I had fun back with the CV testday in CBs, and i enjoyed it today aswell. However, i do not enjoy CVs in random battles, because the lack of teamplay. Either noone helps with AA because they are dumb, or occupying the CV is actually useless because your teammates keep licking the window clean. Which doesnt happen when you play with your clanmates.

    It was a lot of fun. Not this stale BS where everyone has to do the same because when you do something out of the ordinary, you get spanked. On land of fire, there were 2 options: - One BB swapped in spawn with A/B caps like in the 1v1 Sprint and also small map - The other one normal size with 12km CB Cyclone Ocean reduced size with Epicenter Polar with 3 Caps and 5km spotting Mountain range with CB cyclone Two Brothers with Epicenter Solomon Islands with 2 tiny caps and 1 normal B cap I really enjoyed it for once, not something ive said in a while about WoWs... Clan Brawl is most fun. Even CBs are just too stale lately. Everyone had to play DD so... It was something where you had to adapt your tactic. You couldnt do the same thing as always. I like that.

    We played 17 games to get the 15 wins, id say we had fun. I enjoyed it more than regular Clanbattles. The BB swap in spawn happened twice to us. Im not sure what happened the first time, i think our enemies didnt like it and they went back to port/yoloed right way. 2nd time the GK tried to Citadel me in my Mino, but he got only overpens since i was close enough and flat broadside We had a good laugh tho.

Didnt know there is universal fun which applies to everyone - CVs are unfun, they need to be removed - RTS CVs were more fun than reworked CVs, i want them back - Reworked CVs are more fun, DONT go back to RTS CVs Thats literally 3 statements you can hear all the time, depending whos saying it. Which one is right? We could list stuff for the next hours if we want to...

    I think that makes only sense for the top players. Ofc, someone like El2azer encountering similar skilled players more often would result in him having a lower WR. But, that would inevitably mean, CVs need to be nerfed, as more people playing to the full potential would indeed just show, that CVs are OP. The other classes would be less fun to play overall, if the 2 CV players just try to slaughter the opposing team faster than the other CV. CVs are "balanced" by the incompetent playerbase - nothing more. Players underperforming in CVs often dont want to play other classes, as they are cowards. They want to be safe from enemy fire, while being able to inflict damage to them in return (even if they cant even do that). Being safe is simply more important to them, thats why they play it. I think you missunderstood me, im heavily in favour of CVs needing a nerf/rework/straighup removal from the game. Last option would be the best, as its either impossible or WG is incapable of balancing them properly. I wont speculate on that. But to me it seems, that lately games are decided by which team has more potatoes, so i wont blame CVs for that actually. I agree, but perfect balance between classes is impossible to achieve. Even ships within a class have different influence levels. A ship carrying Radar has more influence that one that doesnt have Radar, as it counts a class (DDs), who have a higher influence on the game as the others. To me, the influence levels are roughly like this: - CVs - most DDs (in absence of CVs atleast) i think, stealthier/torp DDs have a higher influence than gunboat DDs - Radar Cruisers (can be effected by CVs again) - BBs/other Cruisers/other DDs.

    Europe DD early access?

    Its unlikely, that you get access past the T7 by F2P. And for that, you need a bit of luck too. You can get most Containers from the directives. Some you can get by missions you need to activate (already too late for 3 mission chains, last one should come this thursday) and a couple through other means. Otherwise, early access is tied to buying the 1k dub packages in the armory, where you can get 40 or 250 tokens. But i wholeheartedly advise against doing that.

    @1MajorKoenig As i couldnt reply in the other thread any longer 1. While true, its different, or lets say, more extensive for CVs. Thats basicly what Solo play can achieve. ~35% WR, you can hardly go lower than that. Also, you cant go much above 70%, also depending on what ships you played and when you played them. I think these days, 70% Solo might be almost impossible to achieve. However, CVs can easily go beyond that. 25% or up to 80% WR is achievable. Lower end is easier to achieve due to how bad the playerbase is. Nonetheless, CVs do have the potential to reach higher WR than other classes. Thats why, they seem balanced, because average player is not capable of taking advantage of that potential. All other classes have less potential, so they are mostly balanced between each other. Arguably, DDs had more potential than other classes, but not any longer, CVs took that away. Example: Montana player with 27,8% WR. Midway player with 29,5% WR But the Montana player is worse you say. Only at first glance. The difference is, the Midway guy achieved this solo, while the Montana player actually needs a division of 3 to lower it below 30%. The Monty players 3x div stats The Midway players solo stats I dont think i need to show someone who has 80% Solo WR with CVs, you know him anyway 2. Ofc i understand and know that However, they also said, they would like to "nerf @El2aZeR " so they know, CVs have too much potential, but they dont care at this point, since few people are able to achieve that. And looking at the other end, they would need to buff CVs, as those players are actually worse than the worst RTS CV players ever were. Atleast damage wise. 3. Dunno, check the players in your games? They are abysmal, or how would you call people with 30k avg damage in TX BBs?. Thanks to them, Unicums are able to achieve that WR/avg damage in the first place.

    Average player is abysmal, thus CVs are balanced on average according to WG.
  21. Thats because Conqueror is the better HE spammer as it has 50% more guns than Thunderer. But Thunderer has awesome AP, its totaly different than Conquerors AP.

    You have engine boost for that. I prefer damage control. I dont think, turret traverse is a big issue since you only have front turrets. Faster reload is always better imo. And the other options are just worse.
  23. T9 premiums earn more credits than T10, because T10 ships arent premium in the same sense as on T9 or below. So JB/Georgia can earn more credits than Thunderer or Smolensk. IFHE didnt affect Smolensk, it was playable without IFHE before, maybe the reason to use IFHE is smaller these days, as you lose a bit more firechance. But with 28mm pen, its only helpful against T8-9 Cruisers + T10 Cruiser bow/stern armor. So not really a big deal. Smolensk is a pretty unique ship, and Thunderer doesnt get removed. Also, Thunderer is NOT an HE spammer. if you compare Conq with Thunderer, then Conq is the better HE ship, while Thunderer is the better AP ship. That doesnt mean, that either shouldnt use the other ammo, as you will get better results if you use the correct ammo and doesnt stick to one all the time.

    Dont show flat turret surface against enemy BBs in between shots. Angling gives a thicker surface or you might even bounce the shells.

    Because there was no EU in the time those ships existed? Also, whats the purpose for that? Put everything in one techtree because reason?
