    Eh, 99% not, atleast in this case. The damage was fairly even between the 3 of us (everyone have roughly 200k give or take 10-20k). So if i remove both, the rest of my team, or that one person, would have needed to deal an additional 400k OR do something which would have enabled me to deal even more damage, like suiciding and spotting the enemies. As i described, lack of spotting was an issue thanks to our Harugumo, so a person providing spotting by yoloing might have enabled me to deal some more damage. But thats why, for the last 1000 random battles atleast, my WR has been at around 80%. So a 3x division will turn atleast 1 more loss into a win (7 -> 8 out of 10 wins). If i would constantly play with the same people or with others who have 65% WR on account, it might even be slightly above 80%.
  5. Well, they are very different from one another. Bourgogne is more like pre-nerf Alsace with Improved speed boost and reload booster. Because people see someone doing 300k damage in smolensk (while losing btw) and they cry how OP that is. That you can farm that HE damage with 0 game impact is being ignored because hey, can cry russian bias. But thats what you get when half the playerbase thinks, being set on fire is the worst thing that can happen in this game. Also, they cant see the difference between broken and OP. Smolensk is a bad ship for the game, but so were others by the time they were released.
  6. While i totaly agree with that, i would put Bourgogne even above Thunderer. The problem is, we have certain CCs, who are clearly anti-russian, cry Russian Bias with every russian ship they release, and all the little potatoes (pun) are spreading the word. Why not have French Bias? Henri, Bourgogne, Kleber anyone? And not to mention the monstrosity Marceau was during testing. But that doesnt count, since its not russian^^ Russian ships in testing get flamed back and forth. Alltho i agree, WG can blame themselves to some degree for russian bias. And the community makes it quite easy for them to dismiss that whine, because they dont whine about other nations ships.

    Few clarification required

    You will always have games, that you will lose, thats true for everyone. Can be as low as 20% if you are @El2aZeR playing a CV, but thats the absolute maximum. In general, 30% is a more reasonable amount of games you will never win, which basicly is 3 out of 10. Which means, the opposite, 3 out of 10 games you will always win, regardless of what you do. Even if you would be AFK, you would still win those games. So 6 out of 10 games are basicly pre-decided, its basicly impossible to go below 30%, or above 70% WR (with very few exceptions). Leaves us with 4 out of 10 games, where it does matter what you do. Most people now take an example, where they deal much more than their average damage and are angry, why they lost despite their good effort. While understandable, that they are angry, it also makes a lot of sense. Your teammates were potatoes and you never had a chance of winining that game in the first place. Or maybe you could have won it, if you were an even better player, thats hard to say. But then they ignore those games, where they absolutely potatoed, died first after 4 mins dealing literally 0 damage and start blaming their teams afterwards. Because they died early, they dont have any impact on the outcome of the game, and while it might have been a close game, they werent there anymore in the end. But ive experienced so many situations over the years, you cant make a win/loss down to 1 decision. During the course of any game, there are so many decisions which shift the chances one way or the other. I can use an example from yesterdays game, where our Harugumo did the outmost to bring our team down every single step of the way. Even 3 minutes before the end, we were still in a losing position with the enemies holding 3 caps, and we managed to get 1000 points like 40 sec before the end of the game. Here the things that the Harugumo did during the course of the game: - Our other flank was losing, so we had to advance on our side. We had 2 BBs + 2 Cruisers in D Cap on Hotspot, meanwhile that Harugumo camps somewhere in the back, he didnt spot anything before. - Finaly after we managed to get the Cap, he goes into the cap, smoking up, sitting in smoke, and CONCEALING the enemies with his stupidity. Now we were all blind, and the enemies from the other flank are moving over, creating a crossfire with the fleeing ships from our flank. - Later, the Harugumo goes back to our Home cap, surprise, SMOKING UP THE ENEMIES AGAIN! He didnt spot, he barely used his guns (big surprise since he always smoked the enemies) and he was useless by sitting in spawn the entire game. We needed 3 guys from our division, dealing 600k damage to get a win out of that game. And thats how you have stupid [edited], "almost" deciding the game for the enemies.

    DoY used to be better, but then they gave her a citadel and ruined it + you see T8-9 MM more often these days. Well, Colorado is really slow, it pretty much only has its guns. Nagato and Sinop have equal caliber guns on their tier, while Nagato is probably a bit more squishy than Colorado, Sinop is also really tanky. But Gneisenau can also overmatch many T7 BBs.
  10. Contrary to Kremlin, Thunderer has atleast no armor to speak of. Covered in 32mm of armor makes you a juicy target for HE (with a relatively small healthpool for TX BBs), and you dont have a superheal like Conqueror. Also the citadel is easier to hit and punch through. Is it a strong ship? No doubt, but if you nerf the guns then you have a crap ship in the end. And we dont need to nerf its guns and buff the armor in return, we have plenty of retard BBs already.

    Just shows how "well balanced" CVs really are, combined with the skills of the average player, and thats what you get. If you look at the extremes, i.e. the highest/lowest WR players, CVs go beyond what other ships are capable of. So you get people with higher WR, but also people with lower WR. CVs have the potential to basicly kill everything, while being able to reduce the damage planes take by dodging flak. If a CV player cant dodge flak, his influence is much lower, as he cant effectively strike enemies.

But you can see that he literally doesnt hit the ship. Or, unnknown to us, Ibuki carries a Citadel infront of its ship Funnily enough, playing yesterday a couple of games it felt pretty normal, no shells going too wide or falling short on a frequent base (bad RNG can always happen ofc). But i played rather late when there were <20k players online. It could be, when we approach 30k or more players, than servers cant cope with that and then crap hits the fan so to say. Atleast during those periods ive had the weirdest things happen to me.
  13. With 150k damage you didnt lose any credits. Earning a lot of credits on TX is simply not really possible. They have the highest service cost, and premiums dont have a special bonus modifier like other tier premiums. - Use IndiaBravoTerrathree to reduce service cost by 10%. - Use Zulu for extra 20% credit gain Those 2 are the easiest options, but with, at best, average performance, you will keep burning money on TX. Not sure if buying permacamos for like 17€ is the way to go.
  14. 72.476 is what you received after this game. The 313k is only the amount your actions did during the game + eventual missions you complete (like you did, which got you 25k extra), from that you have to pay Service cost, ammunition and consumables (Camo if you use one for credits).

    Whether all ships should hug in one group in this game is ofc up for debate, but i dont see it as such. DDs arent supposed to sit in the back with their Cruisers/BBs, because they dont have the range to do anything, and they have been the eyes for their team for 4 years, and now that changed. Also they are supposed to get the caps, because, well other ships cant really do that unless there is no other ship within 10-15km. And then there is the tactical aspect of flanking the enemy team. CVs effectively prevent any tactic where you want to outplay your opponent. He will spot you first, telling the entire team your intention. And then he can just kill you easily, since you are alone. Mind you, we have several ships that are designed to that in the first place. Thats entirely wrong tho. If you have played enough games, it does tell whether you are a good player, who increases the chance for winning, or if you are a bad player, who makes his team lose more often due to your actions. And this is only true for a specific game, not for every game you play. Thats why, once you have played enough battles, you have had your share of good and potato teammates. Sometimes you get carried, sometimes you lose despite all efforts. But it still evens out over time&battles.

    Most clans, who have their nationality in their name, like ITA, CZ, PL, something with German 99% of them are just speshuul, so dunno if its unfairly judged Most of the times, i give them the benefit of the doubt tho, unless i - know that player already - know its a good/bad clan and tbf, the latter one fucked me so hard multiple times, because i think, someone in a good, known clan KNOWS how to play, and then they play like utter crap. Recently had a guy from the most famous streamers clan in my team and... well he sucked, end of story. That really baffled me.

    Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

    Ive thought about the game just now, how blatently imbalanced the Cruisers had been just by pure stats. (we just played this game, and quite incidently with @GarrusBrutus since he is talking to you anyway) Hindi vs Hindi so far so good. Moskva/PR/Stalingrad, Battlecruisers + tons of HP and armor. Hindenburg itself is pretty tanky too. Zao? Smolensk? They have no health compared to them, and DM/Salem. Salem sure can heal a ton of HP, depending whats hitting it. But none of those has the tankiness of the others. Not to mention, our DM/Smolensk just were free kills for the enemies.... While all the enemy Cruisers pretty much survived most of the game. I started killing the Moskva, then the Stalingrad. PR fell soon after them by combined fire, and the Hindis were the last to die (well the last one survived even, but would have died) And Bourgogne with its small 380mm guns cant achieve much on those if they angle... Hindi + PR are iron blocks, while Stalin and Moskva atleast have some 25mm parts. But i got their broadsides so it didnt matter that much.

    Well, yeah technically its not, but in a sense, thats its easier down there due to slower engagements, smaller maps, shorter ranges and less punishing ships.

  21. Its something i dont get it either... since they changed the MM a few months ago, ive been way more toptier with T8-9 than ever before. And we already had a lot of +/-1 MM or even sametier MM on any tier. But the whine about sametier MM was to be expected: People dont want to be -2, but they sure as hell want to be +2

    Funnily enough, a similar thing happened to me aswell, which made me suspect, WG changed the aim assist: I was shooting Bow on Bots in coop, and i usually aimed ahead of the ship, where it should be when my shells land, so i overmatch the bow. My shells kept landing BEHIND the targets all the time. I even checked in the replay, doing the math with how far the ship travelled and the time it took my shells to land, it was impossible to not hit the ship. Thus the aim assist simply couldnt cope with my aiming and screwed me totaly over. I was like "fine, ill be like a noob and aim at the bow" et voila, it worked like a charm. Btw this is totaly stupid ofc. And i cant seem to figure out, how you should be able to hit the bow or superstructure of a ship moving towards you, as this can often make a difference, like a Yamato wants to hit the bow, not the superstructure. I think its beyond fixable at this point, and would take quite a lot of work to fix. So im pretty sure, theyll just ignore it.

    Well, dont even have to look the replay, as this is obvious: If Armor * 14,3 < Caliber, then your angle doesnt matter, and the shell will automatically overmatch the armor, almost guaranteed resulting in penetrations. In this specific case - Colorado caliber 406mm - DoY Armor 26mm 26*14,3 = 371,8 - so every shell with a caliber bigger than 372mm will overmatch your 26mm of armor, which you have everywhere except on your belt armor (and turrets ofc). In return, you cant overmatch the Colorado, because - DoY Caliber 356mm - Colorado armor 26mm 356mm cant overmatch the Colorado anywhere, thus if he is angled, you cant damage him, except at the superstructure. Now, the DoY has improved AP angles, so you have a slightly better chance to get damage in on him unless he is almost bow/stern towards you. The DoY is a really squishy BB. You will have trouble against all T9 BB, T8 BB, most T7s (except Lyon, Scharnhorst, KGV&DoY, Poltava) and even T6s like Bayern, QE, Warspite, Mutsu, WV.

    Its called sticking to lowertiers. If people, who are not that good, would play low-midtiers, where they can perform better, we would have less issues than we have now in hightiers.
