In reality, its only ~half of that due to fire resistance. TX ships have roughly 50%, lower tier ships have less.

You shouldnt be in trouble against 1 BB shooting HE at you. Being unlucky happens sometimes, but it shouldnt be the norm. If it is, you are doing something wrong - Dont be stationary, you are easier to hit - Thunderer is rather accurate. Someone shooting HE non-stop is basicly guaranteed to be a potato. You should be able to dodge when you are moving around, because they cant predict dodges. That doesnt happen everytime. If you are in big trouble, find an island to cover yourself from him if you cant get undetected otherwise. If your DCP is on cooldown, then rather dont shoot for a moment if it helps you to stay undetected.

You can report them to WG... they actually do something about that, atleast if its a severe case. I know for 100%, but i wont disclose who and what happened. -
I never liked the approach of LMs in 2 slots, as those in the concealment slot are at a bigger disadvantage than those in the 6th slot. For me, most of the 5th slot LMs are actually garbage, while almost all 6th slot mods are excellent. Yamato, Zao, Moskva, DM - all excellent. GK is decent too, and i dont think Repus is bad either. The only 5th slot LMs somewhat ok are Henri, Gearing and Mino. And they are mostly just sidegrades, while the Mino LM is only useful with Smoke and Smoke mod, which is totaly overkill btw, i tried it even.

After yesterday, dont tell me about it Massa vs Nelson at ~7km, first salvo out of 9: 1 pen 1 BOUNCE (how is that even possible?!) 2nd salvo: 2 overpen, 1 pen, 1 shatter. I died and ragequit the game immediately. And earlier in the game, i shot an angled Fubuki at 6 km for like 7k with AP Ofc BBs can hit 6 shells on a bow on DD, but fail to hit a BB with a citadel that has the size of several DDs... And actually, better dispersion for BBs in closerange engagements is something id be in favour of anyway. The problem with closerange battles is, if your guns derp you are basicly dead. So why take the risk? Longrange, nothing will happen... -

The difference is, you are not whining on the forums about how its unfair that you got penalized for it. That makes a huge difference. If you would do that, id tell you exactly the same - probably even harsher as it seems you keep doing it. - You got DCed once because your provider has problems - fair enough, crap happens - You go back, get DCed again, you get pink - thats totaly your own fault, dont whine about it - Coming to the forums because WG should not make you pink, even tho it actually doesnt do anything... Thats whats happened, and you dont understand it. And you keep insulting people in your ramblings, while being absolutely non-constructive. -

Met @MyopicHedgehog with his division on T8 today, they were on the enemy team tho I think the others in your team hated me, got a couple of reports... Probably those HE shooting, maxrange camping Thunderers who tried to blindshoot me in smoke. And i didnt even get to farm them with fires -

After the first time, you might try Coop first? I wouldnt blame anyone, if it happens once, because you cant know that. But if you have troubles, then i think its the right thing to check first before continue to do so. Thats all on you. Ooooh big surprise you cant read and continue that personal stuff once more. He had problems -> he DCed first time. He kept playing -> he DCed again. That 2nd time is on him. also, the rest of your post is whataboutism and personal insults. -

Getting a penalty for being AFK is most likely automatic and not due to reports. The only report that does something (and we know of) is reporting for misbehaviour in chat, which gets you a days chatban if enough people report you. Here is a thought: If you know you have internet problems, maybe dont play for a while? Or play Coop instead? You are only writing from your own side (i got a penatly - i lost my camos and signals) meanwhile, your teammates had to play 11v12, and maybe those games were lost because you had problems. So they might have used camos and signals too, and got less out of it... And being pink is not bad, its only a warning, not even a punishment -

Sure, i meant like, if you are a potato You wont get 2 unicums to carry you all the time, because quite frankly, you would ruin it for them too often. Ive played with average players in division aswell, but its just occasionally. Most often its 3x >60% players. -

I voted 0-3 months, but after consideration, it might take longer. 0.9.4 + 0.9.5 russian Cruiser split 0.9.6 + 0.9.7 German CVs (unless we dont get early access and they do it in one patch) 0.9.8 Subs? They wont just dump Subs into randoms without some fancy-schmancy around. Sure they could put them in after russian Cruisers, but i wouldnt count on it. -

To me, that makes no sense. Why was the Smolensk in our team? Why was the Stalingrad in the enemy team? If you only put overperforming players in one team, they couldnt maintain it, since there is a limited amount of HP and kills floating around. Also in your own example, why are you in the "bad" team, and not the Donskoi, which is worse than you are in that ship? It could swap you and the Donskoi without a problem. Same question for Hipper and Amalfi. -

Im pretty sure itll get better after ~30 games. Happened to me on several occasions, and usually after 30 games it starts to get normal. Ive also had the opposite, get easy wins despite doing nothing for same amount of games, then the losing starts at some point. -

Also its literally useless in randoms to occupy the enemy CV. Your team might aswell do nothing to capitalize on that one. I saw the difference immediately, when CVs entered ClanBrawls. There it does make a difference when the CV is attacking a certain target, and you are free to execute a plan. IN randoms? Nah, CVs are brokenly OP there, because the average player cant understand anything. -

Couldnt be further away from the truth. Implying, that farming fire damage actually has an impact on the game. Which takes like minutes to achieve, unless the BB disengages then it was worth nothing. Meanwhile, BBs can blap cruisers with one salvo. If you get only overpens, then its desync and you need to take more lead. Naturally, with this desync problem around, stationary BBs can easily get farmed, while moving Cruisers are harder to hit as you have to take the desync into account. -

Well i think, the main difference between Solo and div play is the WR. Often enough, you get less damage and kills when playing in a division, simply because the others grab their own share of it. So i think, someone producing good numbers across the board even while playing in a division is already proof, that he is a good player. And that getting carried is imo just a myth. You wont find people carrying your [edited]all the time, if you are a much worse player than they are. -

First part, i agree and never wanted to argue against that. However, DDs certainly have more carry potential then BBs/Cruisers. Ive had a Gearing game recently without CV and basicly no radar (salem - doesnt count as a radar ship to me). I could pretty much do what i want, after i disposed of the 2 enemy DDs. Latter part, i disagree somewhat. We still run a DD in a division (even if we have a CV) because we still think its necessary more often than not. Simply because your other DDs might suicide like absolute potatoes. And when the enemies realize that, they can take mapcontrol. CVs have more carry potential than DDs, that i agree with. -
Well i guess, if you dont play any other lines, its better to use him instead of a normal one. But it definetely isnt the best place for him. Only if you dont use the maximum amount you can use per heal. SE Mino with Heal flag can heal >22k with ONE heal. But since every pen/torp/citadel deals a certain amount of non-healable damage, you basicly cant use all the healing power available. F.e. since Hindenburg got an extra heal, i dont bother with SI anymore on it.

Seems like a waste to me on RN CLs. 1st seems rather unlikely to make much of a difference. While Mino surely can hit some torps, its not something you will get all the time. Sink 2 ships for extra consumables: More heals wont help. You get an extra smoke ofc, but how often do you really need one more? And then you still need the 2 kills in that game to get it. Cant get witherer. WEll technically you can, but not with those flooding mechanics around. Improved Joat is nice, but aircraft armor is for CVs only. Imo Implacable/Conqueror/Daring are the toppicks for Cunningham. RN CAs can maybe use it because they can atleast get a Witherer. RN CLs are the worst place imo. Most Cruisers profit from it, especially those open water ones which outturn their turrets (IJN/Henri f.e.). Ships like Mino/Smolensk/Wooster dont need it.

Mino has super fast turret traverse, you wont need that. JoaT is imo much better (faster heal, DCP, Smoke/Radar). Even SSE or LS would be better.

What does Solo have much to do with it? Its not like, your Cruiser/BB can babysit you for AA when you do DD stuff in the front. Atleast thats not how we play in divisions. Doing well includes for me: Not dying to the CV (atleast not 2 mins into the game), get Unicum damage numbers, high place in the XP table and ofc high WR - regardless of solo or division btw, ive been running on close to 80% WR in divisions since 1,5 years, that only works if everyone does its part. Our DD does well almost all the time. Thats the DDs ive played since rework (except Cossack, Jervis and Minekaze) Yes, its division only. But we are still talking abot a ~80% WR here - 2 others wont carry so much to achieve that WR. Especially since there wasnt a CV in it most of the time (sometimes yes, especially the T8 games). And ofc there will be some DDs with a bit lower WR, because sometimes you just get those crap teams which cant win, and noone is failproof either, we all do mistakes I dont even have 500 games in DDs (yeah, not a DD guy) so if a new DD player can do that, how come others cant? Its the same with your CV arguement btw, only showing, that it doesnt matter if you are new. It matters what you know about the game. Do you think, most CV players use slingshot? Hell no, even if they have been playing for months they might not know, or couldnt execute it anyway. so a smokeless DD vs 2 higher Tier CVs... i capped, and got 10 defended ribbons AND literally killed them both with my guns. 43k - just someone else manage to grab the kill. And if i would have known they are that incompetent, i actually would have survived. I didnt except to survive that long when i attacked them, but they just kept missing me while i was just straightlining to keep all my guns on them. So if id have dodged, i could have survived actually. Which didnt matter also at that point. Bad CVs suck - they mostly wont hit you, and look for easier targets afterwards. The worst part is the spotting. And many CV players are just that = bad Bad DDs suck too. They will die regardless of CVs being present. Ive had a Shimakaze run into the enemy side right away, only to open water gunboat a GK and die in like 30 secs. -

The difference is, he is a good player in both instances. He can kill DDs at will when playing CV. Noob CVs cant do that. He can do well in a DD against most CVs. Noob DDs cant even survive against a BB because they might open water gunboat it. Thats the point here. -
Well the problem here is, that you cant really match good players against good players all the time because... there arent enough? Unicum/Super Unicum PR literally means, Top 10/5% or even higher than that. So you would park good players in queue due to lack of opponents. And then you have the problem with new or steel ships. Due to the playerbase (mostly good players to begin with) the PR hasnt settled, or will actually never settle. Bourgogne is a good example. PR is based upon expected values compared to actual values. Only very good players own Bourgogne (most not so good players got Stalingrad because its "OP" by farming steel over couple of years). So Bourgognes average stats are already very high, and cant go much higher, but they are expected to be higher for Unicum PR. Thats not Unicum PR, because i would need like 170k avg damage or so. infact, there are only 3 people with Unicum PR on Bourgogne. A 1900 PR Bourgogne player is superior to a 1900 PR Yamato player. With XP you have the problem that - WG is tracking BaseXP with Premium modifier. So people with 24/7 premium have a higher avg XP than someone who doesnt, while they arent better players. F.e. i have only ~1450 XP on my acc while you have ~1900. - Hightier gives you more baseXP than lowtiers.
