  1. So basicly replace a Stalingrad with a BB because why not. Also i cant see, how 2 BBs/1BB+CV would make squishy cruisers more viable. The "downside" of Stalingrad is, that it cant overmatch Cruiser armor, but if you have a BB again, then you can do just that. Combined with CV spotting, that sounds pretty horrible to me.

    Radar Mino is still a unique role which no other ship can do. Smoke Mino could be different, but with more and more ships, you dont really have those unique roles any longer. Back when Hindenburg was introduced, it was still special even when it wasnt the best in anything. But now, why would you pick Hindenburg over Henri? So for me, there is a reason to play Mino, but i dont see a reason to play Hindenburg

    They will when they reach the citadel, which atleast for Mino is not hard to achieve as it has steps in it to make a nice surface. Also no damage with ricochets still beats any damage

    I didnt say buff Smolensk armor Alltho i think, Mino/Colbert/Smolensk could have 19mm plating instead of 16mm...

    That sounds a bit far fetched, since Venezia doesnt have Radar. Venezia is good against DDs, if someone spots the DD for it. And no, proxyspotting DDs because they are potatoes is no counter. Thats true, and it doesnt even matter if its 2nd best ot 10th best - its garbage. The longrange aura is so weak, you need a long time to even kill a stupid fighter which will spot you in return. Neptune needs a buff even more than Minotaur. I think, plating should get atleast buffed to 19mm starting with Edinburgh (and while we are at it, might buff Fiji plating to 16mm). Why do they have worse armor than DDs...lol. Atleast prevents overmatch from Henri and Goliath, which already would help. Atleast BCs shoot only every ~20 seconds, and i think overmatch for them is actually balanced. Btw the same problem with more and more overmatch is an issue for all TX Cruisers with 30mm plating, as we get more and more large caliber BBs. I dont think, thats only an issue with minotaur (might be more prevelant ofc). I dont really see it as bad as you make it out to be. Its not that bad imo. If i look at a class of ships, where i often wonder "why play that one" its actually BBs. Which resulted in freeXPing literally all T9 BBs, but then at TX, its almost as bad. FDG, Izumo, Iowa, Soyuz - why play them? Missouri or Musashi are literally superior in every way. At TX i look at GK and Monty, who dont have that overmatch against TX Cruisers. So i rather pick Yamato/Kremlin/Thunderer/Bourgogne instead, alltho Yamato and Bourgogne are my favourites. Bourgogne doesnt have the overmatch either, but it has other redeeming features. Someone unhid his stats.

    Imo the best way would be, that CVs just spot for the minimap - and regardless of which ship we are talking about, not only DDs. Often enough you can try to dodge the CV, which might turn you broadside to a BB and he can blap you in the process. Or you focus on the rockets as a DD, but get shot at by half the enemy team because you are still spotted, even if the CV cant drop you. And lets face it: People like @El2aZeR who can rip apart any DD at will are rare, and exaggerating that issue doesnt help. Many CV players are incapable to drop a DD properly...

    Maybe not quote 15 month old writings and put them out of context? Go back, read what the TO wrote and then rethink what you said. Where do you get the stuff about a DD gunboating a CV? never said anything about that... and btw, making DDs "immune" to CVs only makes it harder for Cruisers or BB. And BBs have often equal/better AA than Cruisers, so guess who is gonna get the full CV attention afterwards We already have enough potato DDs, who think its smart to hug the border towards enemy spawn to kill the CV - we dont need to encourage that even further.
  10. Mino wasnt dead in previous seasons, it just wasn viable for most players as they couldnt make her work. But thats not the metas fault, which is different to how it is now. You could be a superunicum BB/DD player, but this season its tough luck, as CV takes BB place and DDs are almost entirely useless.

    While i assume its true, most players do the same stuff over and over, its certainly not guaranteed. Ive seen 1 guy, who was on my team, and basicly did nothing the entire game. Next game, he was on the enemy team, and he played normaly Or had an AFK guy once, next battle again on my team but that time he atleast moved from spawn...

    What does that have to do with MM? Every player deserves to lose as many battles depending on his skill level. So if you do nothing, you have 40% WR, sounds fair to me. Ontop of that, you dont have unicums running wild in every game, because there arent that many around in the first place. Most matches consist of like 80% average players or below. Also, there are no OP ships which lets you magically win games.

    I think i can still record that one game, where exactly this happened: Enemy CV was looking for DDs. He havent found me yet and was 8km away, looking at the cap for me. My CV popped a Fighter a few km ahead of me. IMMEDIATELY the enemy CV run towards that fighter, so i had to turn away. Now, the enemies had a Kronshtadt behind an island in radar range. What did he do? Radar me aswell! So not only did my CV tell the enemy CV "hello, there is my DD" no, he did it for the Radar cruiser aswell

    So you think its more likely, that an AFK player gets 60% WR by never playing, than BBs farming HE damage from 20kms away to pad their PR?

    Its actualy perfectly logical: If MM takes skill into account, the better you become, the worse teammates you will get, thus you will lose more often. Vice versa for bad players, as they get good players to carry them, so they will win more often.

    Blind Fire When In Smoke

    You can hit smoke ships with/without spotter plane. Hindenburg vs Mino is very easy, as you have a 12 salvo broadside with decent reload. Also you can use other ships as lockon to shoot undetected ships for better dispersion. Here one example for that Thats for a special gamemode from last year. Norma is a Minotaur. I killed it with a blindshot, using the ship further behind for better dispersion. Ive killed moving ships in smoke that werent even shooting

    Poll about CB season 9

    So quite simple poll, id like to make it public, but i choose not to. Everyone can write a comment if he wants to elaborate, but this poll is not about why you dont like it, just simple yes or no pretty much. Reason for not liking it is irrelevant in that poll. Also, this poll is clearly for CB players, so i dont include an option like "i dont play CBs", because its completely irrelevant. For me personaly: I pretty much hate it. CVs, Stalingrads, SAP, camping, border hugging - so many things wrong with this game forced into 1 gamemode.
  20. I played Radar Mino last season. I think played correctly its a huge asset to the team. Well now its dead tho, since you dont need it with CVs. But id say the skill necessary to make use of a Radar Mino is too high in CBs, and it often lacks firepower as it simply cant just start shooting stuff. However, a good team around the mino can make use of that superior spotting power - nothing can spot a Radar Mino, without taking a risk itself.

    I think WG is aware of faildivisions trying to get favourable MM due to the changes to the MM over time. It might look like, MM is deliberately keeping them in queue for 3 minutes to go back to previous MM rules to "screw" them over so to speak. Which i think is totaly fine, they deserve it. Or maybe its interfering with other MM rules not allowing them to be mid/toptier, so the T8 ship in that pic has to be lowtier. Anyway, it will happen as long as people make faildivs below T8.

    Tanking isn't worth it

    BBs are the best ships to make a move into an enemy position if you need to. It will survive longer than any other ship, while having the ability to cripple of outright kill most ships in the process. However, not every BB can do it equally good and for some it depends what opposition they face, but they still can do it better compared to a Cruiser or a DD. If done properly, you will gain control over that part of the map and maybe win the game. Will you survive? Not always, but thats not the goal of the game. DDs and Cruisers should survive, BBs are expandable if needed. I think, most people expect too much out of tanking. First of all, you cant tank for your cruisers and DDs if they behave like potatoes. If i have the option to shoot a bow on BB or a Cruiser/DD, ill shoot the latter. Ive even seen people complain about not tanking, when they sit broadside in their Cruiser or openwater yolo gunboat in their DD. Noone can force the enemy to shoot a BB. Ofc when a BB goes into a position, where every enemy can shoot/farm it, then they will do so and the BB wont last long - why should it, if several enemies are shooting it? A BB which tanks for no apparent reason will die and accomplish nothing for its team. F.e. your team has the cap ahead of you, and you think to go into the cap to hold it. Enemies start to farm you from safety behind the cap, you die, and they can take the cap because there is no more BB left to threaten them. I have a couple of examples with my GK, but never uploaded them. Ill post some screenshots from the video A pretty desperate situation as you can see from the minimap. Enemies have 2 caps (getting the 3rd even) we are outnumbered already and basicly surrounded. Now what to do as a BB? Well, you have to move in. You cant expect any other ship to do it. Now i move in and my Cruisers could retreat further away and still farm their BBs to help me get rid of them.As you can see, my Yamato and Izumo have no clue what to do, they continue sitting in the back. If i would have retreated aswell, enemies could have just farmed us in spawn till its over, without the chance for us to really hurt them. Blapped the Yamato to complete the push. We are ahead on ships now and about to get our first cap. All ships on that flank survived, even i managed to survive, because GK is basicly immune to a Yamato if bow on. Got 4 kills, 100k+ damage and 1,4 million tanked damage during that push, and turned the game around. Here is another example with Musashi The enemies are already in our base, we are behind on ships and literally lose if we dont defend the base. So i get into position where i can shoot the incomming enemies and reset the base. Really bad situation, had to move into the base, but im at 3 million tanked by now and almost 180k damage aswell. I died just at the end, had no HP left the DD just shot me to death, but died as a result. So we won the game. 3,5 million tanked and 220k damage ontop of that.

    Why is Seattle in game?

    1. Same speed as Buffalo, only 0,5kts slower than Neptune which is also a CL. Or faster than Roon (i think, wiki wont load the Roon, but since Hipper and Hindenburg are both slower...) 2. 6,5 sec reload is 2nd fastest on T9, only Neptune is faster, and it has AP only. 3. Compared to Neptune, armor is much better. Not that much behind compared to CAs on the same tier, and we have so many BBs with big caliber guns that it doesnt matter much. 4. That is not a problem with the ship - skill IFHE then it works better. THe biggest problem Seattle has, that its not a big improvement over Cleveland, but with horrible turret angles.

    Not possible comrade, otherwise we couldnt enjoy glorious CVs in clanbattles Would you say its fun playing a BB setup against CV setup? I personaly cant see it, since its constant harassment/spotting and almost a guaranteed loss. Thanks mate I think most of the time, someone opens up a discussion they always start from their POV. Whether they like it or not, but those threads often go downhill from there, usually both sides throwing mud at each other. So i hoped, a neutral starting position might prevent that, and everyone should feel free to say whether they like it or not. Afterall, noone should get attacked for their personal feelings.
