    The further you are away the worst it works ofc, because impact angle gets steeper aswell. And you said yourself, angling doesnt work... its same as Smolensk.

    Showing flat broadside against BBs works reasonable well in Coop. 35mm citadel armor is not enough to arm BB shells. On the other hand, german Cruisers can citadel you with HE and SAP can do it too....

    Given that reworked Hosho is around for 16 months now, Nikolai has been for more than 3,5 years. I couldnt find an exact date, but XMas 2016 it was already unavailable, so we are pretty much talking about like 4 years or so. Also, your analysis is mostly wrong. First, the stats from maplesyrup you are using are player based, meaning, every player with less than 10 battles played during that period doesnt show up in the records (thats why every ship has >10 battles/player). The site also has Unit based stats, including all players even playing only 1 game. Numbers drop to like 1-3 battles/player. As for T3-5 ships in the mix with CVs: https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/game-updates/update-087-french-destroyers-part-2/#game-mechanics So basicly T5 ships see 40% of the time T7 ships, removing a big amount of the number already. That doesnt even include T5-6 battles, or T5 only battles. Ive seen numbers, which tier sees a CV how often, naturally, the tiers with CV face CVs much more often. From the top of my head, T4 has like ~90% games with CV. But nonetheless, you have to remove a few percent from T4 ships, which wont see a CV. And then there are still games with only 2 CVs... and not every time around the clock has the same amount of players, so during offhours it will also screw the games.

    Because you dont understand the concept of this: - Players could earn tokens to exchange them for containers, which gave you pieces of the collection - The main reward for the collection is Sansonetti. - Not everyone might have had enough time to get enough items of the collection back then, so players might miss a few collection items - Now people can get containers for coal, which include collection items to finish their collection and get Sansonetti. If you want, you can also do the entire collection from scratch. So your proposal basicly is, [edited]those players who miss a few items, i want Sansonetti for 175k coal like all the others The system was already in place (as other Collections aswell before that), why should they change that?

    Because your complaint only makes sense if he would be much more expensive than the other commanders. And since he isnt, it doesnt make sense to complain about him specifically. Basicly you complain about new players being treated badly by WG, because they dont get handed everything 4 free... others didnt get the commander 4 free either... we had to play to get him, you have to play to get him. Only your grind is different then ours.

    Its not 366k Coal... You have a good chance that you need less than 175k Coal, which is the price for the other Unique Commanders.

    I think their spreadsheet shows big money. Ive seen numerous players, who seem to advance like this (and you also see them in forums sometimes): - Play to T3-4 in BB/CA/DD - Gets raped by CV - Starts playing T4 CVs - Depending if fun or not - Buy T8 CV or T8-9 DD/BB/CA to escape lowertiers = Profit for WG

    If fighting ships without any defensive capability against an opponent is not OP, then i dont know what is. T4 CVs were not OP back when they only dropped 1 torpedo (well, mostly Hosho profited from that), they were mostly on the "meh" side. But WG couldnt let that one go by... nooo, CV numbers were too low, so that doesnt sit well with people in charge. So gotta buff CVs to increase popularity. Mission accomplished I doubt that one. Hosho can pretty much sealclub on its own perfectly fine. And for statpadding, atleast WR, CVs are the best. They have the best tool to increase chances for a win: High damageoutput to targets which you can choose, as you can spot anything at will. So you kill DDs, you get a good chance to win games. Now that needs obviously some skill to pull off, but when people can achieve 80% WR on T8/10 CVs SOLO, then something is wrong. Btw other classes cant do that. I dont see a reason to punish other players even more with small teams, to make it easier for CVs. It must not even be sealclubbers playing their T4 CVs, it can be cowards who dont want to die and feel like king of the world when they attack ships who have 0 AA. Like the schoolyard bully whaling on kids half his size. Guess they were the small kids getting bullied back in the days, so they gotta make themselves feel good somehow. If WG would get rid of those, and T4 CVs would mostly be played by people grinding through them, we would have no problem at all. But when you get people playing up to 5-6k games in one year* (*most likely exaggerated, as Hosho wasnt OP at that time) in Hosho, it will cause problems. If you get matched instantly, it shows old numbers. You can even see CVs in ranked queue that way, which is obviously not true.

    With what you are saying here, it wouldnt ever matter what WG is releasing, since you cant verify if its correct or not, therefor, you cant know whether if its correct or not. However, those statsites track individual players and use that data to paint a whole picture. So far, my personal data is correct. So the only way for WG to falsify that data, would be to feed fake players with fake stats into the mix who do not really play games. And for what reason would they do that? To make ships look better/worse? Why do some ships have stats that show they are pretty much OP/broken? 10 salvos is not much. And ive seen dispersion patters from ships which wouldnt seem to indicate that. However, german BBs did have the worst dispersion formula out of all so much for that? Also, Ships arent solely balanced by how good they hit other ships. Hitrate for all my BBs. 3 Germans are in the top 10... and all of those are more than 10 salvos! Feel free to do that, but that makes no sense. Ships do not determine winner - but the player. Sure, some candidates are likely to be strong (Bourgogne, Stalingrad), but thats because those are being played by very good players in the first place. Also, you are not in every game.

    CVs remain overpowered

    Atleast all other classes can fight one another. CVs literally cant. Imagine 2 DDs sitting in a cap, and they couldnt fight each other, except for releasing some weapon, which can only fight DDs, but the enemy DD has to move into it to trigger it. CV interaction in a nutshell. Ive seen games with almost only Cruisers, they are damn fun. Now imagine a game with 10 CVs on each side... just wow

    Infact, german BBs are usually in the middle of the pack when looking at WR. @ColonelPete can share some data on that maybe. I think, RU BBs are overhyped. Its the latest BB line, and most good players play(ed) it. What they forget is, that they usually improved compared to when they played older BB lines. Only the T5 and T7 are truely too strong imo. Pyotr is even more ridiculous than the sinop imo. T6+8 are decent, T9 is pretty bad imo, and Kremlin is overhyped. People say, kremlins dispersion is so awesome at range, because they devstrike a Cruiser. Then they have 4 salvos where it doesnt hit a barn, but ofc they wont mention that. Infact, even supposedly bad dispersion ships like the GK can easily devstrike cruisers at range. Maybe even better, as it has more guns and better reload.

    I think winning was impossible once that Minekaze suicided, and even killing the Gadjah would probably have not made a difference. The problem with that being, you never know till its over. I remember one game, where i was Monarch, had a division Kiev with me and a Shima, against Musashi, Amalfi, Neptune, Massa, Harugumo and Akizuki. Musashi and Amalfi died to torps, so it was 3vs4 but we were behind on points and caps (1vs2 caps). Neptune got cocky against our DDs, so i could devstrike him. The massa didnt take the fight against me, ran away and their DDs screwed up with smokes and died too. We flipped the cap, and i even managed to kill the fleeing Massa. Never give up - you never know what the enemies will do to screw up. Also you dont know what your remaining teammates are capable of. Often enough, my division could have turned the game, but too many random teammates decided its over so they yolo and then it actually is lost. Kinda self fulfilling prophecy... Also just as comparision: If i were you in that situation, i probably would have picked the other side. With a division, we would have picked your side. Why is that? Well, looking at initial movement, the DD from your side made no move towards the cap, basicly waiting in spawn. The problem is, he wouldnt spot for you, so a capable DD would have made life miserable for you/your team there. The other side had 3 DDs, but chances were better that they actually spot. Lucky for you, the enemy DD was equally stupid, which evened the playing field. With a division, going to the weak flank would make more sense, because 3 people working together can delay a push more often than not, and even kill a couple of ships in the process.

    Thats a myth, even more so when talking about R10 players or worse. The biggest problem for your team was, your DDs were absolute dumb. You should have told your Minekaze to not suicide into the enemy BBs, that could have potentially been enough to turn the game if he would have stayed alive and spotted the Gadjah for your team. Even if he might not listen, its worth a try as he was communicating himself. He just died against the KGV as the last surviving DD. For you personaly: Sometimes i dont get why you kept running away. You were already behind due to your spawn as a slow BB. Imo your only choice was to be aggressive (the kill on the Mikoyan would have happened anyway at some point) Always shoot DDs. You should have shot the T22 right away, but i guess you got lucky because he rushed you. But you will only kill noobs with that. If a DD is spotted and you have the shot ready as a BB: TAKE IT. Next time it might not be a potato T22 rushing you and getting devstriked. It might be a good DD player being spotted once. Also, you needed to kill the Gadjah in the end. You should have waited if he got around the corner (which he did). You might even have loaded HE (aswell as against the T22) but wasnt really necessary as he was very weak. Also your lead is sometimes not enough, like on the Gadjah, the Budyonny and the KGV at times. If you make those shots count more consistently, it will help, because you dont have to fight uphill struggles later on. And as last resort, when the Gadjah smoked up, take the blindshot, it was possible. You were about to lose anyway, no way you could have killed any other ship in time. Always have points in mind, if you need a kill, look for an opportunity to get it.

    Because they dont give a crap what they say, they just say something to push through whatever they wanna do. "CV rework reduces skillgap" I mean, they might aswell change whatever they want and say: Here, now eat crap, [edited]

    Thats the problem with balancing by WR: Good players + bad players vs Average players to get equal-ish WR. Average player team has the upperhand, because a 40% player will die easily to 50% players, and those 50% players have atleast some common sense while playing. So the good/bad team will lose half the team, and the rest of the good players cant fight against a full team of average players and win. Also, your team had a potato-division, so no way they could magicially split up. Balti + Mogami are trash, and the guy in the Vladi isnt good with that ship either.

Gravity explained enough? btw i can give you the benefit of the doubt, as one post earlier i quoted you and showed, there is no 13k damage Yamato with >80 battles and 68% WR. Heck, maybe you looked at his acc WR not at his Yamato. I doubt you will find such a player with ANY ship in the game, who has the lowest damage from all players and enjoys SU WR, with >80 games and SOLO (before someone looks for some kinda noob getting carried by 2 SUs with CVs and whatnot) Nah, i dont have to prove that. You are claiming something, so burden of proof is on you. Why should i believe your claim? There is a guy with 250k average damage in >80 games with his Fiji, but he only has 36% WR. Would you believe that? No? Good, your story is basicly the same.

    Doesnt exist. 1 player has less than 13k avg damage in >80 battles and he doesnt have 68% WR. The closest to your assumption is this guy At the same time, you have hundreds of those guys running around with red WR. But even 50% WR with 90 battles isnt really that far of, i mean, you would expect like 40% give or take a few %. 46 wins out of 91 games. With only 40 wins, he would have <44% WR, which would be close enough to what he deserves. Yeah, 6 lucky games more than others had? Not a big surprise...

    Should I play Yamato this way...?

    Dont sit behind islands, have island cover nearby so you can disengage when needed. Its not smart to sit in open water (stationary) against 2 Thunderers shooting HE from 20+km. With 2 TX BBs already shooting HE, the threat of AP is already pretty low. Thunderers are very accurate, and players spamming HE are basicly noobs which you should be able to dodge if you move around. You might not dodge the entire salvo, but better than getting hit by 6 shells or so. The more those Thunderers need to spread out their shots amongst your team, the more useless they get. So take your share, but dont let them free farm you. Meanwhile, you help kill DDs and Cruisers. Ofc Thunderers dont wanna get shot at by a Yamato either, so there is that. You can hurt them pretty good too.
