He most likely refers to overall stats for T6 Cruisers recently. If Graf Spee would be a bad ship, you wouldnt expect good players to play it in the first place, so it would have lower WR/damage. Last week, Graf Spee had 53% WR (HSF graf spee even 57%). They are also almost top on avg damage, beating basicly all silver Cruisers. Graf spee was always decent in my book. Not great not terrible.

Also i wouldnt call it a challenge, playing solo and doing everything you can to get a win, and some 40%er thinks its fun to gunboat a BB in his DD to lose the game Playing 3man div is the only teamplay you get in a supposed teamgame, where noone (ok maybe 1%) else plays for the team.... Ever had a "good" (with " ", because of clantag f.e.) player on your side, who literally does nothing to help you, because he thinks you are some sort of maggot and he is king of the world? Even from people you would expect teamplay, you cant expect anything, because they have learned teamplay = gets me killed / is useless. Thats the sad state of this game.

No they dont, last 2 month EU server numbers If you could have 10 CVs per game, like you can have BBs, you wouldnt see more than a couple in queue. Only 17% of the ships in a game can be CVs, but they are played more than that, so they back up the queue. -
A good CV doesnt need RPF help from anyone - he will easily find the DD on his own. Not to mention, RPF at the start of the game cant tell you much, especially since the CV can attack within the first minute. RPF might only help, if the DD is somewhere running alone (mapborder maybe) into the enemy spawn, and then he gets smacked rightfully so, because its horrible play. I think its funny, that its ofc the good players, who are running the game, not the majority of bad players, who cant play, cant think, cant read and have 0 sense for teamplay. They are the ones, ruining the gameplay for everyone, and you can blame them, if good players only play in 3x divisions these days, because everything else is unbearable. Thats a joke right? First of all, what are you gonna do sitting next to Cruisers in a DD? Nothing the entire game? 2nd a decent CV will easily strike the Balti (or a ship next to him), because Baltis tend to sit next to islands, and you can avoid majority of his AA because of that. Not that it really matters, you could also strike him while flying through his AA. And a stationary Cruiser is easy to strike with AP bombs. If the CV is good: You are basicly useless as a DD. You can try to stay alive somewhere in the back, where you pose 0 threat to the enemy team. That way, you wont trigger the CV, and he will attack the rest of your team. If the CV is bad (luckily, most are): Dont make it obvious where you are at the start, he might look for you, if he cant find you, he will forget you existed. At some point, he will attack other targets, which lets you do your own thing.

this could be due to QEs abysmal turret traverse time. Ive had it with other ships during turns aswell, that the indicator is green, but it probably isnt exactly because ship turning outturns the turrets. So in case you are turning, stop turning, then it should work. Always works for me. -
Cmon guys, i think thats a good idea. We wont get rid of CVs that way, but we will get rid of people who think, rules are not for them. (sooner or later atleast). Also, they should announce their intention at the start of the game, so others can follow them

Atleast for me, that doesnt work. I had no interest in playing sub-mode, after what ive heard from my clanmates. It was like a total shitshow, people yoloing left and right, not playing properly. How is that fun? How is it fun, getting slaughtered without counterplay because your team was eating that glue with a snowshovel. If there is no teamplay in a teamgame, and everyone is playing their own [edited], its not fun (regardless of gamemode). The exception being, that i can be selfrelient so it wont matter, like the sprint 1v1. But thats something im not looking for in this game: Its a teamgame for me, not a 1v1. Ships arent balanced for 1v1s, as we could all see. Thats why i only play divisions, atleast there is teamplay. The reason to play a PvP teamgame, is to win. But everyone thinks, its about "Damage/XP/Grinding/Missions" and THATS whats ruining this game. They dont care about winning, they only want they need to do, so they are literally working, not playing. -
You did basicly put the core issue with CVs on the spot: You cant balance them. One way is to make them so useless, that every player can get the same results regardless of skill level, and that might be the only option really. Doesnt necessarily mean that they would be unfun to play (except for good players) since you could allow them to strike targets, only it would be so little that it wouldnt actually matter anymore. And TBH, with a class like CVs that sounds like fair balancing: You are safe, can strike any target you want, why should you have that much game impact (positive or negative)? That, or atleast remove the spotting capability. Spotting is such a huge issue when you want to "dodge" the CV, which can put you into an even worse situation like showing broadside to enemy ships. And certain types of ammo just should not exist: Rockets, AP bombs and now AP rockets. Its just wrong, to have ammo which is so over the top against one class, but often much less useful or outright useless against other classes - Rockets are extremely lethal to DDs and while not being useless against other ships, their strength against DDs is too high. - AP Bombs are lethal to cruisers and certain BBs, but almost useless against other BBs and totaly useless against DDs - AP rockets are useless againt BBs and DDs, but extremely lethal to Cruisers (from what ive heard, atleast citadelling cruisers is possible) HE Bombs? Work against every target, only that its easier to hit big targets. Same can be said for torps, sure there are strong against DDs, if you can hit them. Those 2 are balanced, the others are not.

Lost my sanity in ranked sprint today, tomorrow last day of wows with Clanbrawl. This playerbase has become too retarded, im not gonna waste my life any longer with this shitshow. Last game pushed me over the edge, after playing 6 games in a row, where half my team went - CV hunting - Not fighting - border Humping - Straight up suiciding - 100 more things which i had to forget to not go to an insane asylum

Do i need to mention, he also had HP perk? Funny part? Lenin devstriked him before torps could do it NCs, the bane of teamplay, absolutely no reaction in movement, just straight across the map. Ofc I was useless, not the 3 BBs doing absolutely jack crap -
Actually the answer is yes, since there are people able of doing it. I dont think @El2aZeR is the only one in the entire world, but i dont check other servers. This tells us, the class is still entirely able to do, only the skill ceiling so high that most people probably cant do it. The next problem, so many people dont play CVs in the first place, while there are probably people out there who are able to do it but wont even try because they arent interested.

Met @Chaos_Umbra just now in ranked sprint. I wanted to say it, but i didnt because you never know how the team reacts: If the teams continue like we had previously, it was an easy win for you. And i kinda felt it coming early enough... All of your BBs into B, all of ours into A showing broadside I was watching the HP on your BBs and attempting to strike that blob would have made no difference, except throwing planes away as fast as possible The other teams were also like that: Getting rid of the DDs, team dies in the time being -
I would have shot the yamato right from you and tried to go for ram on the other (or potentially driveby it even)

To some degree, you are causing that imbalance yourself when playing division. I cant be sure since it wont show the divisions in your MM screens, but there are atleast 2 divisions in the 2nd screenshot: You and your partner, and on the enemy team the ENUF div. No matter what you change, those 5 people will ALWAYS be in seperate teams (2 vs 3) UNLESS there are more divs for the MM. But if there are only 2 divs, then they are guaranteed to be in seperate teams. Same in the last screenshot with the TTT div. There are only 2 TX DDs in the game, both are in a division, so the divisions WILL be in seperate teams. Only the A div from your side could have been swapped with the Stalingrad and Wooster from the enemies atleast in theory. The same can probably be applied to game number 3, with your div vs the WIDMO div. -
If WG would still give us free respecs, i could do that, but since they dont, im kinda locked into that now Just saying there was a reason for using a T7 BB: I wanted to know, how many shells land in the armored belt, with a T8 BB shattering my shells also on the upper belt, i couldnt tell since they would always shatter even with IFHE. And i feel, secondaries in T6-8 MM are more useful/fun than in T8-10 MM, where you just might not get an option to use them because of how the games are being played and the map size/layout.

Reminds me of the asian reroll hurricane div yesterday, who immediately started attacking me (CV + rangemod spoter Zao shooting from 21km). After i had no option than to run to my teammates, they started to focus on another good player in a shikishima on the other side of the map... neither me or the shiki died. Probably not the best idea to focus good players. Most of the time, good players lose because their teammates suicide too fast, not because they die too early So you claim you have worse teammates when playing german BBs? Sound kinda weird, even to me. Either you are confident enough that you know what you are doing and keep on doing it and hope something changes, or you look at your performance and see if there is a problem or not. As i said, german BBs can be played 2 ways: Tank or Secondary. 99% Tankbuild has more game influence than the other, and secondary needs even more skill to have an impact, that might be a point which you havent answered. -

The part about not care about winning: Thats the perfect example, why winning needs to be rewarded even more (remove any reward for losing, give more reward when winning). Why should people progress by failing their way up? Even WG should like it, as it possibly gives them more cash -

Should have tried to tell the Marceau to run away. Shima was probably smart by accident. Staying in the outer circle was the right move most of the time, otherwise the enemies could have gotten the points i believe. He should have run behind the island tho, but instead he turned in. I would have atleast tried to tell them what to do. Better chance than to do nothing. Did so yesterday, won the game. Might have been ofc the Fiji knew what to do so might have won either way, but he did what i/we told him to do and he did exactly that. -
You still have more hits = more chance to set fires. The secondaries will hit the center all the time even without manual sec, they wont stray to bow/aft section enough to cause fires there. More direct damage + more hits to cause fires = better to skill hit but why argue with feelings when i tested it. You can play without manual sec, i play with. But atleast i did a test which convinced me, that one way is better than the other. And taking a BB which you could pen makes more sense to see the difference. Why should i take a BB which i cant pen? It doesnt tell me good enough whats actually happening. Nowadays, you can leave IFHE out of it aswell, since you just lose so much firechance.

I specifically wrote bad luck + potential more CVs at lightning, but you ignored those and focused on not being able to play it (which i didnt claim). T8 sees CVs all the time, T7-9 see much less of them, giving DDs more power at influencing the game. Its not a secret, that DDs have to play differently when a CV is in the game. If you would win the next 7 lightning games to 100, you would have 56% WR. And the small smaple size works both ways ofc. Daring has only 7 games, Jervis 26. Lightning has the most games played, which also means, luck is less of a factor than with the others. Also with Lightning it seems, you have less damage (proportionally) and less avg kills than with the T7 and 9. As i said, you might die too early? Im just guessing here, since i dont know how you play them. But with other BBs you have better survivability and better WR aswell, so it makes sense to me, that this might a the problem. And getting killed explains everything, if you are dead, you cant influence the game any longer. Or compare Gneisenau with the others: Much more avg kills, that could also be one thing. You simply take out more enemies with that ship, Also i dont know which build you are running, secondary build didnt work for me either with hightier german BBs, GK with tankbuild was much more comfortable to me. -
On a side note: I tested this with Massachusetts, and the secondaries are still better with manual secondaries even at broadside targets at 5km. I didnt test closer ranges, because i wouldnt say those are usual engagement ranges (even 5km is kinda close already). Not to mention, at even closerranges the possibility of rams and drivebys is much higher, so you should count on your mainguns, not on the secondaries. And against angled targets, manual secondaries are MUCH superior. 5km flat broadside WITHOUT manual sec, that took 2:02. 5km flat broadside WITH manual secondaries, which took 1:43. Even with better fire RNG, the test without manual sec was slower. So without fires, the difference would get even bigger. Did the same test on a bow on Algerie, with manual sec it died before 2 mins. Without manual sec, i stopped after 3 minutes while still at >6k HP.

1. You could take T6 BBs and they wouldnt get damaged either, the pen is just too low. Alsace has regular 32mm hightier BB armor, which is enough to shatter Georgias secondaries. 2. How is that shaming

Low sample size, bad luck, cant play those ships properly? Lightning could be slightly bad luck (or influenced by the T8 CV hordes?), german BBs might not be for you, since you have bad WR in all of them starting at Bismarck. Your survivability in german BBs is at the lower end (Bismarck/Bayern/FDG are 3 of the worst 4), so you probably die too early too often an when you are dead you dont have any influence anymore. With GK you survive more and have better WR compared to those.
