So what? be glad that they played 15000 coop games instead of 15000 random games with that skill-level... I welcome such players in coop - more for me

Having playing Diablo2 myself A LOT, there it didnt really matter if you had people leeching from you. Highlevel characters were perfectly capable in beating the enemies alone even with the buff they received for having more people in the game. In Offline mode, you could even buff the enemies to higher difficulty with a command. Also i doubt, that new players would have done that to such an extent. For veterans it made sense, because they dont want to play normal/hard difficulty over and over. Imagine going into a party in any MMORPG, and you start leeching from them. Happened in games i played, those people usually get kicked and killed. In WOWs, we have to live with those players, cant kick or teamkill them -

Except there is a difference between naturally progressing through a steadily growing difficulty level, and just jumpstarting into the highest difficult without a clue. The equivalant would be, playing a character on the hardest difficulty, which is not able to cope with the enemies he faces. -
Who cares about Radar when there is 1 CV per DD Also divisions might be interesting, they can be the cause for this. Easiest example would be the 2 Moskvas and the DM are together in one
-
I wouldnt categorically rule it out. Can be done, needs ofc skill to do it

Ive never went back to play Königsberg after i grinded it. Was my first Cruiser actually, and all i remember is how they died when someone looked at them (same for Nürnberg) They still pop so easily if you shoot them, i lost count how often @ForlornSailor devstriked them in his GC when in division with me in Marblehead or Murmansk. I did play Nürnberg in Operations a few times afterwards, and it always felt "weird". I mean, in theory Königsberg should have equal firepower, with weaker HE however. Alltho, back when i played them, they ofc didnt have the german HE, so that might have made a difference aswell... not sure, but i got to love Marblehead/Murmansk so why go back
-
Most of them have more than 100mm tho Especially when we also include T9-10 Cruisers. Chapa should have the worst armor of them all i believe. Balti has 152mm i think. Mogami should have 100+torp bulges? Cleve has 127mm? so could be a yes/no thing. Just throwing the numbers out of my head, im not 100% sure if they are correct Might even be, that the 141mm is thick enough due to impact angle (something like 14°).
-
Comrade Stalin says, you go to gulag now Looking at like ~14km, Tallinn certainly has it easier in penetrating (even slightly angled) Cruiser citadels. While something like Mogami would even fail on broadsides.
-
Murmansk has more range and better pen on the guns. As a tradeoff, it has 2 guns less. Murmansk also has better torps (faster and MUCH more damage) and its more nimble (much better rudder shift slightly better turning circle) https://wowsft.com/ship?index=PASC044&modules=11111&upgrades=000000&commander=PCW001&consumables=111&pos=0 https://wowsft.com/ship?index=PRSC003&modules=11111&upgrades=000000&commander=PCW001&consumables=111&pos=0 Murmansk is hands down the better ship, even if Marblehead does have slightly more DPM. Omaha is a combination of both: Omaha B hull is like Marblehead with 2x2 + 8x1 turrets Omaha C hull is like Murmansk with 2x2 + 6x1 turrets Torps are different, with much less range compared to the others.

Maybe, WG should extend that protected MM. If you buy a premium, play with bots. Why does it matter for them? They cant contribute anyway. All they do, is drag their teammates down. Make protected MM filled with bots, rising for each tier, f.e. max 200 games T1-T4 (like they currently changed) 300 games T5 400 games T6 500 games T7 700 games T8 900 games T9 1000 games T10 So lets say you have 400 games played, and you pick a T4 ship, you will play with humans. But if you play a T8 ship, you have protected MM with bots filling the game. WG already has different level of bots, so if you play hightiers, you could have strong bots. -

Thats not meant offensive (as i see myself the same way in the past): Most likely this is because you/we werent aware what happened around us. We focused mostly on ourselves, not caring what the guy next to us did (or didnt do for that matter). Ofc its more fun. But once you reach a point, where you are so aware what happens on the map, you become angry. You dont feel an accomplishment, holding back a superior force on your flank, while on the other flank most of your team DIED against a couple of ships, literally not harming the enemies. That happens all the time ofc. Ive seen 3-4 ships kill 7 or so, and they all have full health. You realize that, the fun you have drops by a million. If you want more fun, dont care what the others do... which is pretty much impossible i think. Lets be honest, most of the time we get triggered because the people around us play like absolute horseshit. Meanwhile, feeling that you arent allowed to punish bad players, because they sail perfect broadside for several salvos and never get citadelled, doesnt really help that matter. -

I dont think there is any stat or combination of stats, which wouldnt drop if Unicums only face each other (vice versa for bad players). Damage? cant maintain above average damage for everyone, since there is a maximum amount of it in each game Kills? same WR? we covered that already You would need to have a league system, which doesnt change your rank while playing it. So the skill needs to be determined in some other gamemode, outside of that league. Doesnt sound viable in my book. -
Ive had that happen to me too, once in Bogue several years ago. Back when T5 CVs could still manual attack... Was the only human in the game, all my bots just died. And another one recently on an alt account in protected MM, with only 2 humans per side. My bots just all died, and the enemy bots played like super unicums (smoking each other up, sitting in smoke, turning away from me). Yeah, i think there is active "rigging" with bots. If you fancy, you can call it RNG aswell ofc, but thats rigging to me, when one team gets worse bots. And who is to say, that they dont do rigging with other stuff too?

If id clasify stomps the way you do (as in, losing within 5-8 mins), then i dont think we have that many stomps really. However, i would consider a stomp aswell, only because my division manages to prolong the game even tho itll still end in a loss at some point. And i still disagree that you will get the result you hope for. A 45% is not the same as another 45%. Be it because they play different tiers, different ships or because they play differently by nature. I think we can agree, that roflstomps get enabled when too many ships die too early. So who dies early? The Yamato sitting in the back? ofc not. Its the guy, going full ahead towards the center of the map and get focused by half the enemy team. Does the Yamato sitting in the back have more WR than the guy suiciding in the center? Most likely not, both have <50%. Yet, it makes a huge difference if i have 3 guys dying in the first 4 mins, or 3 guys not suiciding. A 3x division can often enough kill many ships, but they need time. Time you dont have when your teammates suicide too fast. A Yamato sitting in the back doesnt die and lose points for my team. I have more time, killing enemies or getting caps. And as i said before, thats not the only thing that matters. Some people deliberatly suicide for certain reasons. A guy playing T8 might suicide when he is in a TX game, but he wont do it when he is toptier. Or a DD suiciding because there are too many radars... or a CV. CVs is another whole issue, those SuperUnicum CVs are literally unbalanceable by the MM, unless you throw the lowest from all in their team. Ive had a guy in 2 back-to-back games, once on my team, once on the enemy. He was on my team? He didnt even play. But when he was on the enemy team, he participated in the fight, how you distribute like that? -

Does that also count as balanced? The Minos roflstomp the Smolensks. In general i assume, bots wont cause roflstomp by nature of their behaviour. if you have different types of ships, they will most likely focus one ship, and it will die. F.e. 2 DDs spot each other (or even 1 DD spots the other). Bots start to shoot. Bots dont evade, and they have aimbot. Both DDs get shot at by the enemy team. Even if one DD dies first, the other should follow. In randoms, DDs can get killed by not threatening another ship at all. A DD gunboating a random Cruiser/BB in the open? Can get killed easily. Or one DD getting spotted by one with better concealment. Sometimes, one team doesnt shoot DDs at all... Bots always do the same. They shoot DDs first, then Cruisers, lastly BBs/CVs (dunno where the focus level of CVs is actually). -
Yes, you can basicly take SI always on BBs as the first point skill. That extra heal is often useful. Ofc you need to survive long enough to use all heals. I guess for people, who always rush in and die it wont help much lol... For BBs, i always go that way: PT -> AR* -> SI -> CE ->FP -> BoS -> EM *i used to take EM before AR because i also thought, that extra turret traverse is nice. But in reality, its not so much. Also remember, AR boosts secondary reload aswell. While in theory, the gain from AR isnt really much (its like having an extra salvo every 10 salvos if you shoot nonstop) BUT there are times, where you can just shoot at a ship, moving behind cover, which you might not be able to do without AR. Or just getting the reload in for a ship which is broadside and starting to angle. For secondary build, you can start the same way PT -> AR -> SI -> Manual sec -> AFT -> FP -> PM (to me the most "useful" out of the remaining 1 pointers). As i said earlier, i prefer AR. Sure you could take BoS (or even BFT, but i wouldnt) and EM instead of FP and PM, but im not sure if thats more fun. It shouldnt change much, only 2 older secondaries get replaced by a newer version, which doesnt seem to change anything (atleast according to wowsft). But B hull has better ruddershift and more HP.

Thats ofc the assumption, that 2x 40% play equally bad. And then there are soo many factors to include, what about a 50% player, who usually plays decently, but just had 4-5 or how many losses, because his team managed to die on him all the time? He might be frustrated, plays badly himself and dies after 5 mins. Ive had people in ranked flame their team literally 10 secs into the game, because his previous teams were so bad. And then they suicide, blaming their team! Ive seen 40% players with 5% survivabilty, or 60% (ive even seen a fletcher player with >75% survivabiltiy and 46% WR or so). The sheer presence of enemy ships can cause players to get stuck in some place. If you get rushed on a flank from 4-5 average players, you cant stop them. But if you face them without getting flanked, you (as in a division) probably will kill them eventually. Thats a huge difference, but still the same players. Only because someone has 40% WR, doesnt mean that they suicide every game. So "skill" (or mentality how you play) does make a difference to why steamrolls happen. Ive seen 65% hurricane players be first blood (yep, happened in ranked sprint to me). Heck, we all have been first blood be it a bad move, getting yolo rushed or bad luck, like getting detonated. How would a balanced team compensate the loss of their best player first? They wouldnt... So i still say, we need people to play better in general to avoid roflstomps. People suiciding for no reason is starting that process. -
perfect "excuse" for WG to remove OPs
-
Well, thanks, atleast that explains it. Now we can fix that Basicly SE "looks" better, as you can see the impact from it. If you take SE, and survive with a few k HP, you could say you survived because of it. And that you can heal slightly more (400 per heal) because repair party works based on maximum HP - but so does fire damage. If a fire burns for 60 sec, you will lose 500HP more, than if you wouldnt have SE skilled. Now lets look at the options: - Superintendent - BoS SI gives you an extra heal (and hydro ofc). One heal gives you extra ~9600 HP, which is a lot more than the extra 2800 + 400 (times 4 from 4 heals) you can get by using SE. And you dont receive more firedamage as a result, which already negates the effect of having more HP. Ofc you can say, you can use SE and SI. But you would lose BoS guaranteed BoS gives -15% to fire/flood and repair duration. A fire burning for 60 secs removes 18% of your max HP, for Bismarck (69200), that would be 12456 damage. With BoS, you only lose 15,3% of your health, which is 10588. Difference is 1868 damage. So 2 full duration fires already take more HP away from you (3736) than you get from using SE (2800). BoS + SI is a better combo, even if you dont see the effect, but its still there and its better.
-
The following is meant as an honest question: Why do you think, SE is a good skill for a BB? Please tell me, because i dont understand it, why/how someone gets to that conclusion. And we all know, how many BBs are using SE these days, so i want to know the reasoning behind it. Bismarck has 2 options - standard BB tank build - Secondary build Both can work, however tank build is often better/easier, especially in TX MM, where its harder to get into secondary range. As toptier, secondary build can be fun. Tankbuild is - PT, EM/AR, SI/BoS, FP/CE Secondary build is - PT, AR, SI, Manual sec/AFT/FP + 1 left for something else PM if you feel like it I personaly would take FP there, because you can and it helps against HE spam. If you want to be balsy, you could take BFT and EM instead for 19pts.

I dont think, new players enjoy better MM, i think they enjoy better RNG. Alltho, both could be possible and are extremely hard to prove. HOWEVER, ive had people with few hundred games against me, and they are literally unpunishable by me. I started to believe that back when i used to play Missouri a lot. There was an Alabama just steaming through a cap towards me. Once he was close enough that he was showing broadside, i started shooting him. I literally got NOTHING. No citadel, mostly overpens. After 3 salvos, he started pointing his guns at me, and his first salvo citadelled me through the bow... That guy had like 20 games or so. Having him punished with one salvo would be EXTREMELY bad for WGs business. You want to cuddle him, so he spents more money becaues the game is so awesome, he is a natural talent. Few other examples How is that normal? Btw, not the only time that has happend, i once got 4!!! fires on my Izmail from a T61 (i believe it was, certainly something german), after DCPing a flood/engine damage. It took like 3-4 salvos, then i had 4 fires. Does that happen to noobs who DCP one fire? Yeah i wish LOL... btw talking about game rigging, me playing on a new account in protected MM Me playing a 3rd game after that There were only 2 human players on each side. My bots LITERALLY suicided, while enemy bots sat in smoke or turned away from me. That was 100% rigged to lose. Not a chance on earth to win that. Why should normal matches not be rigged, was my thought after that game. Recently, i also played a Kutuzov game, where i actually didnt hit anything. I saw shells hit, and i got 2-3 hit ribbons, most of them shatters. ONCE the game was actually lost (as in, couldnt turn it anymore), i started to hit 8-10 per salvo. Coincidence? I forgot how to aim for half the game? nah.. i think this game is so rigged by now, i advice everyone to stop playing. Something happened late 2018 (basicly when the CV reworking started). Since then, its down hill and WGs greed is 1000% more than it used to be (Kitakami anyone?). Thats why i stopped playing now. CBs is out the window, which was the last fun mode for me. A CB Season without CVs i would have played, and then see whats happening after that. -

So you say is, your group (arguably the best players in the game atleast most of the time) + the worst vs everything between you and the worst? TBH, that sounds like skillbased MM to me. And thats whats happening in ranked sprint aswell IMO. Once i started checking, almost every time it was the same picture. The few games were it wasnt, were complete walkovers, and usually after horrible losing streaks... one can but wonder, but i already think, MM is not random. Not sure if it ever was, maybe it was 3 years ago. -

Didnt you recently claim, MM puts all the good players on one team? I think the reality is more like, people became so absolutely bad in this game, that roflstomps are inevitable. Half of them are suiciders and the other half campers. One team has too many of either, they are screwed. -

So 1 out of 114 battles you played the last 7 days was worth mentioning? And you almost only show, when MM is "against" you. That you get lucky matches with bad results are ofc not in your favour, i guess you carried them while not doing anything? You have +52% WR last 21 days with mostly average/mediocre results - what else do you want really?? Incidently, if you look at your Hindenburg, you have a high WR while having good damage and high avg kills... cant be connected? -
And does 220mm overmatch 16mm? And again: So you rather not angle, because a smaller area might get you citadelled, while showing unangled broadside definetely will? As i said, the step can result in citadels at times, but that kinda depends where the person is aiming most of the time. If he aims low, it will fall into the belt. If you show bow/stern, you have a higher chance to get citadelled. And still, noone can overmatch the citadel deck. You hit above that = often overpen, sometimes pen. You hit the belt = bounce. You are lucky and hit the step = citadel.
