  2. Not really any numbers, but from feeling, playing Kutuzov and Stalingrad, they seem to have a decent modifier aswell. Most of the time, i felt i get more XP than i should have gotten in other ships.

    Maybe they should just make them even more OP, everyone who dont want to play them can leave the game, all others become CV mains, then we add bots to every tier = profit. Then make Wows 2.0 without CVs and Subs, all those left can go there and we are all happy

    Probably more... (was too lazy to remove the techtree ones inbetween ) Unique players on EU server. I think its VERY interesting, that Saipan dropped from 20k to only 15k. Might indicate how many RTS CV players quit the game or stopped playing CVs. Other than that, GZ 2200 --> 21k+6400. Kaga 7k -> 20k And ontop of that almost 25k ARk Royals (and a few Indomitables). Yeah, all those people reporting CVs and flaming CVs in randoms - they just love CVs No, its just unfun when it literally happens every game. You can live with it occasionally, like in RTS days 1/10 games or so. And ontop of that, CVs survive 9/10 times because the game ends when you finaly get close to them. Its the ultimate griefing tool: Sit in back, survive >70% of the time and strike ANYTHING ANYWHERE without consequences.

    Only aslong as they are OP/broken. When they are balanced, WG will throw balancing out the window to keep numbers up. Their words, not mine, @El2aZeR usually has a link to that flying around. because avg WR for CVs means anything? Most tiers consisting of 3 ships, which are always matched. Its 50%, give or take a bit when one is significantly better than others. But its 50%, you could let them deal 1 million damage, 1 CV wins, the other loses... And they have the highest avg damage, or atleast on par with BBs. Back when Missouri was introduced, the outcry about a BB having radar was insane. And radar is only half as bad as a CV, because the radar doesnt harm any ship. And you need to be pretty close to use it + Missouri is spotted like 3km before it can even use radar. Now imagine, we would have BBs being able to delete DDs and spot at will, while keeping their avg damage the same. Sounds balanced? Thats CVs for you. And if we give it to all BBs, the avg WR is still somewhat at 50% - YAY!

    If he could force them to sit in spawn, i think he might have. The only way, to make him lose, is that his team dies faster than he can shred the enemies. Which isnt that rare these days considering how many people cry about roflstomps. Only that the game might not end after 5 minutes, because he manages to kill a couple of ships in return, prolonging the inevitable.

    Ofc if one team essentially suicides in the center of the map, its easy to sit near your allies basicly in your spawn. Wonder how that would turn out, if all the BBs sit at maxrange in their own spawn...

    Isnt that basicly what CVs are about? So you agree, CVs need to be removed? Not only do they impact only one player, they essentially make an entire class perform worse. Even good players get affected by CV players, which are less skilled than they are. 2 Unicums facing each other one in CV vs 1 in any other class is not even a competition... I wonder how many people @El2aZeR has killed, who had a worse performance because of him in that particular game...

    There is one important difference: During RTS CV days, people didnt blob up. Now, we sometimes (often?) see entire teams blob up on one spot. I wonder why... Because you as the CV still dont need to have a team at all. You say, its not about 1v1s, but the CV will never be more than 1 person. How is a 1vs4 to counter a CV better than a 1v1? Its actually worse. CV doesnt need teamplay. If i want to fight the CV, i need my teams help. Against all other ships, my own actions matter in how i approach it. You arent defenseless in a BB against a DD either. Does it suck when my team wont help me against the DD? Yes, but i have options to help myself. Your answer to help yourself against CV is: Hope your team does something. And btw, we can see how useless people are in helping with AA. During that 5x5 Clanbrawl on TX, AA felt better than in random matches. So essentially, most people dont use AA at all even when they could (DDs) or they dont use sector reinforcement to begin with. How many Ships could deny entire strikes from CVs during RTS CVs? Why were CVs considered to be OP back then? Why did they have ~equal the damage than they have now? (still highest amongst all classes). According to you, RTS CVs should have been useless and needed severe buffs to be even playable, as they could have been countered to 100%.

    You just completely contradicted yourself there. And the CV is still one person (well, i know, some people claim 12 planes are like 12 players or something like that ). So what you ask for, is CV is 1, and you need 3-4 people to "counter" that CV. So 1vs4 is balanced? Literally the entire team + a fighter couldnt stop a 2nd strike on that akizuki You could only win 1v1s because of the objective. In a normal random battle scenario, you can just pick one ship isolated from others and kill it. He wont even reach the CV in return most of the time.

    Its literally impossible to protect all DDs the entire match. Not to mention, they can just do dumb stuff which gets them killed regardless. The DD can ofc choose to be useless, which is essentially the same as killing him. Often you have ~10 secs till ship shells hit you, or even like a minute with torps. Claiming CVs suffer from RNG is ridiculous. They are least affected by it. Dodging shells is much easier than dodging torps/rockets from a CV, as the CV can account for it. AP Bombs are a bit more on the RNG side, especially on Enterprise. Autopilot fuckup is clearly a bug, and has nothing to do with misplaying. A DD rushing center and the CV letting it happen is totaly one however. Misplaying so badly in a CV is essentially yoloing in every other class, and they die much faster than a CV.

    Essentially, CVs play 1v1s while attacking surface ships. They dont require any help at all in fighting other ships, nor are they forced to fight a specific ship to begin with. If one or more targets are not worth to go for, just pick one that is. Now translate that to surface ships: - Can a BB fight a DD alone? No - Can a Cruiser without Radar fight a DD alone? No - Many Cruisers cant fight BBs alone. In certain situations it is possible. - Some Cruisers cant even damage CVs, either because they dont have HE or they dont have the pen or because fires essentially deal 0 damage. Angled Midway is the tankiest ship in the game. - No ship can fight a CV alone So especially looking at the last 2 points, how would it be unfair that some ships could deny first strikes? It was possible in RTS CV times aswell. Maybe we could make RN CLs immune to airplanes? CVs are essentially immune to their AP. Yeah killing DDs at will is totaly not influencing the game Surface ships have no RNG? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? CV literally strikes from <2km, while all others have to fight like 5-10x that range. Even DDs are not safe from RNG, when 2 torps are launched ontop each other, creating GK-sized gaps between them. And how are you permaspotted in a CV by a DD? Then you are so bad you deserve it. In any other class, you would have died twice over.

    Maybe if you would have stayed there, you could have helped against the superior enemy force? Seriously, going to the 9-10 line with a Warspite is one of the worst things you can do (and the Colorado with it). You just cant go to the 9-10 line with a division + slow ships and expect to get away with it. Even more so, since all the enemies are basicly on the other flank, while you fight only 2 ships, and only one of those is dead. You cant blame anyone on your team, when you (division) are part of the problem.

    Well, that Bots division kinda is the reason for that imbalance. So you want to split them up? You cant just move them over. - Shikishima has to be replaced by Montana. Surprise, they are in a div too. So both Montys over, Shiki and Conq in your team. - Nesvky moves over aswell ofc, along with you or the Hindi. - Your Buffalo moves over, because he is in the div with the montys, so either Buffalo or Donskoi will move over to compensate. - Z52 moves over aswell, and Gearing replaces him. TBH, i dont see a big change? You move 3x >60% players over, and a in return, put 48/46/43% in the enemy team. Looks still unbalanced according to you. Cant be solved.

    At sufficient range, doing a u-turn shouldnt hurt that much. Or use an island. or turn before you are overwhelmed. No reason to be bow-in on the weak flank.

    Hightier BBs should be able to retreat, only some really slow [edited]midtier BBs will pretty much die because they cant escape any longer (QE and US BBs f.e.) First and foremost, if you are on the weakflank, the objective is to stay alive. Create a crossfire when the enemies have to turn towards the rest of your team. Yes, if your team cant manage a 9vs3 then it doesnt matter what you do, thats a loss from the start. I remember a Monarch game on Trap. I spawned at B, and because all BBs ran to C, i decided to help at A. I couldnt even get there, before everyone from my team at A just died. So i got some shots in, and started running away immediately towards a position, where enemies wont follow me. Monarch has good concealment, so i could move without being spotted till the DD came close enough. But he also went for B cap, thinking, im not a threat. I shot their broadsides, while they clashed with the rest of our team in B. And it looked really bad for our team, we only had 2 DDs and me in the end, while the enemies had Musashi, Massa, 2 DDs and 2 Cruisers. My DDs managed to kill the Musashi and a Cruiser with torps, which made it much easier for me, as Musashi is a huge threat. Then i could push in again and blapp the Neptune which was rushing my DDs. Made the Massa run off, my 2 DDs outplayed their DDs which made huge mistakes (kiev + shima vs Akizuki + Harugumo). Ofc the Massa also misplayed by running away from me, but essentially because i stayed alive, i could help turn the game in the end. Or play 3x division.

    Lex could be 3 games (2w/1l), GZ could be 5 games (3w/2l) and Enterprise could be 100 games, or vice versa - without the amount of games, it doesnt mean anything. Could be small sample size for any of those.

    You know GZ got "balanced" that way in the past? Community "showed" WG how underpowered it is by playing like garbage (essentially just yoloing in at the start of the battle, and yes, ive seen it too) -> WG thinks its garbage, gets buffed to insane levels = happy = game becomes crap. So what you are suggesting, if we get enough average players to play like crap with a ship, we can get ship buffed because the average shows its bad. If you balance by the top players, you can see what the ship is capable of and that it was matters the most. If a ship performs well for good players, and not for bad players, then it just means the ship/line has a higher skill floor than others. If you balance by average, you wont know the outcome it will produce in good hands. 2 examples are Italian Cruisers and CVs. Italian Cruisers are considered to be bad by most players, thus they dont play them, or play them badly. In good hands, they perform really well, some (are)/were borderline OP/broken. What that means is, that they should have gotten a buff, while in reality, they were already too strong. And yes, i dont consider the midtier ones to be bad at all. If you dont know about armor models and where to shoot, ofc they suck. That shows, people only learn how to spam HE because the results were too good. And also it produced Venezia, which just was ridiculous prior to nerfs (lets see what happens after the nerfs). CVs kinda same, where topplayers overperform to such a degree, that they are better than top players in any other class/ship. Average players are often still better in CVs than in other classes, while bad players fail harder than they ever used to do during RTS CV times. CVs are just an even more broken concept than italian CAs. Atleast the latter can be balanced.

    How about proper balancing ships in the first place? Guess thats not an option tho... We as the playerbase, can only speculate why you made enterprise the way it came out, but since it got removed and is essentially only available through heavy wallet usage (as some other ships), it kinda shows the intent: Make OP ship > OP ship available through whaling by removing it > profit on your end. You can ofc deny that, but that doesnt change the way it looks, and has been for quite some time. XMas crates are a way to "remove" really strong ships, while not really removing them completely.

    Indeed its more about game design. Been playing lowtiers on a new account the last couple of days, and you dont have those problems there. You can get close, because BBs dont insta delete you, DDs dont have those torpranges (and much slower torps to begin with) and Cruisers dont have the DPM as on hightiers. Everything is just easier and its much less stress than hightiers. If everyone is close, there isnt that focus feeling you get on hightiers, where one moves forward and gets focused by half the enemy team. Alltho, you do have that feeling with certain ships (mostly BBs), which are blatantly OP for their tiers (RN BBs, Russian BBs, French CLs). They dont fit in line with the older ships, and its pretty obvious. But back to the game design: - Cruisers have crappy range and dont hit that well - BBs have crappy range and dont hit at all - Cruisers can hardly citadel each other (and most of them dont have torps, well once again, except the newer ones like French, italian and UK). - DD torps have less range (again, new DDs break that rule while boasting much more firepower than the original torpline IJN) Id say, powercreep starts at the bottom, and created the mess we have on hightiers.

    I rather believe its people deliberately not moving. And i know those exist. They want to see, what their team is doing, which is ofc just bad play on their part. Imagine everyone would be doing it.
