Alsace has 1,6 if you wanna compare equal amount of guns. 12 guns even with lower sigma feel better than 8-9 with good sigma imo. I can understand why they nerfed it to 1,5, since it has torps aswell, which Alsace doesnt have. Somewhere it has to pay for those gimmicks...
-
Well sure the germans are slightly worse in pen, but i dont think its a huge difference If you compared them 1by1 it looks bigger than it might be. Add something like Iowa, the difference becomes negligible imo. Pommern has the armor to operate closer so you can get the pen you need. Alsace has paper armor. Meta sucks, if we wouldnt have maxrange camping, it would be better.
-
1,8 for both It is for tier 9 imo. You could pick Tirpitz, but its T8, has less guns and no hydro. I assume the biggest problem are the small caliber guns, which some people are not used to. They expect to get damage regardless of angle as any good BB
-
I dont think Alsace is bad actually I feared to play it because majority on this forum said it sucked after the nerf... but once i did, i think its pretty strong.
-
Premium ships shouldnt be stronger, but they should/could be unique. I think Pommers is very much unique right now. Musashi is just blatantly OP at T9. JB is kinda the same, not so much as Musashi, but reloadbooster is something i really see as problematic balancing wise. Georgia i consider most balanced out of those 3. All of them are unique (atleast for their tier), but 2 of them went over the line.

You can use him same time on BCs and BBs, so Alaska, Alabama, PR, Missouri... and probably Montana as a silver ship since you dont need designated captains for premiums. - EL - AR/EM - SI - CE/FP You could put the last 3 points in BoS, if you can live without PT. Otherwise take PT and maybe JoaT.
-
No, 19 like all others BBs, BCs and CAs are all valid options.
-
If Musashi is the benchmark, i think we need to buff all T9 BBs. Why should it be so much better than Alsace?
-
Pluging fire for BBs hardly exist. Even NC doesnt reach it at 21km (still 1 degree short of even getting into ricochet chance with 30° impact angle). Something like Yamato only has 21,5° at 21km. Russian railguns have even less impact angle (15,5° at 21km for Slava)

If the question is if id rather be 1 Nagato or 2 Nagatos, ofc id rather be 2
-
You should atleast get a citadel at some point, which basicly can raise the damage by 10k (like 1 cit instead of a pen). Especially since the Nagatos attempt to rush the Musashi, getting citadels should be easier.
-
Musashi can pretty much kill a Nagato in 3 salvos - being angled that is. Usually 10-20k damage even without citadels. Show broadside it will die even faster.

No idea... i only read about the token system somewhere. Ofc true aswell. Thats why, answering that question about who is winning is pretty questionable to begin with. As i said, trying to take skill out of the equation id go with the lowtier since they do boast more firepower and average playerbase is not capable of doing the right things. If both sides rise equally in skill, id more and more shift it towards the hightier team.
-
If you want to be hightier, you have to play lowtiers first and get tokens (or something along the lines). So you cant just pick T8 ships as you please. Id expect the worst players be hightier more often, since they will just spam games to get tokens. If we are talking about a noob Roon, you only need 1 good player to kill it really. That kinda noob will just permanently show broadside to you, so you can smash him with AP, while he will try to kill you with HE. Ive had those scenarios before, the ones i remember the most (because they played so absolutely bad) were Shchors vs Seattle and Fiji vs Neptune. Both cases, they just let me slaughter them with AP while they presented perfect broadside to me, dealing little or basicly no damage at all in case of the Neptune shooting my bow. Changing Budyonny for Shchors would make no difference, while Leander does have less firepower (using frontguns only in both examples).

At this point, WG is probably happy at getting good players out of the game... cant have them spanking all their precious cashcows around. Better let them feel good licking that window clean so they can spend muuuh money -
Well, the T6 Cruisers have more range than Albemarle and Myoko, only Furutaka is badly lagging behind, which probably will be an issue for it. Massa isnt known for his range either, and while Gneisenau does have the range, it lacks volume of shells to be a real threat. Sure overmatch is a thing, but that doesnt mean auto-citadel either. One issue might aswell be the map, but i assume low-midtier maps, which will favour the lower tier team, as they will get cover and actually have the range to be a threat. Imagine something like Estuary or Two brothers, what to do as the hightier team? Split up or go all on one side. I think the hightier team can only win if they boast a certain level of skill. Cruisers need to understand about angling, CV needs to be capable in proper dropping and attacking DDs. Every scenario im thinking about involves: If the "ship" from the hightier team can do that, they might win. Lets put it like this: If both teams would rise equally in skill level, the higher tier team will win more likely as that happens.
-
Assuming we are talking about the average playerbase here, the lowtiers should win most of the time. The hightier Cruisers need to be capable and understand their role. If they just broadside and get blapped by enemy BBs well... then the game is lost. The combined firepower is too much for 2 BBs to survive. Again, talking about average players here, the CV will not be good enough to actually keep the team afloat. Sure if you put @El2aZeR in there, he would faceroll them on his own, but you kinda have to take skill out of the equation, and go with the average players. If the lowtier side has some brain, they could just all spam HE and also win so... Overall, the lowtier side has too much advantages imo, which will make them win more often. The hightier side would need significantly better players in certain ships to be able to win this.
-
Thats more a subjective thing than some fixed values for me (talking hightiers) < 10km shortrange 10 - ~17km midrange >17km longrange

Gathering all available recources leads to nothing useful ?

For 600 tokens you need GZ - its the final mission... -
WG would you be so kind to answer a simple question: Is winrate among the player populace normal distributed or not
DFens_666 replied to Pappus's topic in General Discussion
The median is at 47~48%. Basicly the super high WR players force more players below 50%. The equivalent for 65% players would be 35% players - and those hardly exist. So there have to be more players between 40-49% to make up for that. -

You are pretty much ~server average in damage and kills on most of your ships... how are you carrying again? -
Dunno... how often do you play CV usually?
-
Some people play so absurdly bad, they dont need bad RNG to screw them over, they manage that on their own.

Maybe play them yourself, so you will see, that this isnt actuall the case?
