    1. WG thinks, their playerbase is incapable of handling that 2. WG says, people get bored if they cant permanently fly around with planes 3. See 2. 4. WG says, people dont understand that 5. most likely same as 4. 6. WG thinks, aircraft carriers are so strong, a team losing one to detonation would be at a severe disadvantage. CVs were never able to detonate even during RTS times, but they atleast had major issues with fires. Apparently, they need the extra help by being virtually immune to DoT, so CVs wont snipe each other. 7. Since AA always targets one specific plane, i wouldnt see the reason for that. Then you could just straightup buff AA to get the same result 8. Who knows 9. WG doesnt like fighters?

    Then i dont understand, why anyone needs 50k credits, if you can make millions easily? Thats what im wondering about, and thats how i see it aswell: 50k is useless from any angle (unless you are a brandnew player maybe). 50 Dubs aint much either, but every bit helps in the longrun.

    I just realized we apparently misunderstood each other. I didnt say, Doubloons are worse than Credits. I said, Credits are worse. Thats why i feel the 50k credits from daily shipments are the most useless stuff in there.

    I had the same decision to make. I wanted Stalingrad first, for the sole reason it being Stalingrad. Most people who had both ships told me, get Bourgogne first, as its more fun in randoms. Stalingrad is/was ofc better in CBs. Luckily i only had to wait half a year to get Bourgogne. But you might regret that decision if you have to wait for a longer period to get the other one. If you want/need to play CBs, get Stalingrad. Its always a solid option. However for Randoms... Bourgogne is hands down more fun. People know how to "deal" with Stalingrad - They all want to shoot you - They will angle against you - Dont even think about getting into radar range, you will just get focused and die - On the plusside, you can tank quite a lot which might get you a win here and there because your team might take advantage of that (emphashis on "might") - If you do get Stalingrad, prepare to take rangemod and shoot from far away, so people are unaware of where you actually are and might turn broadside. Id personaly rate Bourgogne as more OP. However id say, it scales with skill. Bourgogne is definetely harder to play, as its 32mm armor and low HP. I guess its easy why i prefer bourgogne lol

    Must be a noob CV main? Literally the entire team (ranked) cant deny a 2nd strike on a DD. And in ranked they spawn closer together than in randoms even! The only part, which might make it hard to strike a DD within a blob of ships would be to find it first. But it does happen, that you spot a DD while attacking another ship, so you might be able to switch towards the DD. Not to mention, a DD sitting with Cruisers/BBs is often useless so... even that is a win for the CV, as he took ships out of the game, even if they arent dead.

    True, but i just get extra mad when i see a Thunderer, because spamming HE with it is even widely spread amongst decent players Thats pretty much the issue with RN BBs in general: People think they did well because they have a lot of damage, failing to recognize, it was mostly useless and shooting AP with probably a bit less damage would have been better. I even got frustrated shooting HE with KGV, so at some point i switched to AP Orion is the only RN BB in which i use HE most of the time (mind you, i dont have Lion/Conq), QE only AP, KGV a mix because HE is good against DDs, Nelson mostly AP, sometimes HE if lowtier, Monarch also mostly AP.

    I dont think its bad. I just dont think its better than some other BBs (it is better than most BBs tho). Personal preference? Maybe, but that would only show, that there is no "best" BB edit: my overall discontent against Thunderer comes from all those sitting at >20km and spam nothing but HE... clearly fun when you have a division of those and its basicly an insta loss

    They arent limited to 1 on other tiers either. But there are less of them, so most of the time you only get 1 per side. Lately, there have been more games with 2 CVs (T6+T8 or 2xT8), since more people play german CVs, but ive seen them before aswell. Either WG is unwilling or incapable of doing the right things to prevent this, but result is the same: Permanently 2 CVs on lowtiers.

    Spreadsheet said, you had fun... ok, real answer: There are more players on lowtier with CVs compared to other surface ships, so you get 2 CV games more often. Why they do it, is absolutely clear ofc, you said it yourself that you cant defend from them. Apparently, for some people its fun to play a PVP game and be untouchable - WG must think the same way, otherwise they would have made it differently. And the more people you scare away from lowtiers, the worse itll get, since the CVs stay but all others leave. Thats why, we already have bots to fill up those games And the sad news: Whatever you or we want to change, its not gonna happen. WG doesnt give a crap about CVs and balance. You are supposed to dump your money into them, get to T10 and hope you dont get r***d 24/7 by CVs. If anything, use more money to get ships which _might_ be a bit more safe from the average CV player, while still getting crap on by unicum CVs.
  13. Well, that happens in hightier battles aswell tho. Only difference (atleast how i see it) you often can work against that in lowtiers easier than in hightiers. and to the chat: no words... i dont even understand how that makes sense? Did he shoot someone? How did that guy even get to play out of protected MM without knowing the buttons?!?!

    TBH, i dont have an issue with accuracy on Bourgogne (infact all my frenchies seem to be rather good). But first things first: - Majority of the playerbase is not that great - Regardless of which BB we are talking about, it will always be an RNG roll if you get a good salvo or not Bourgogne has on demand faster reload + 12 guns. It doesnt hit as hard as others, but you can easily punish a broadside ship, because you often get a 2nd chance, where other BBs only have 1. Combined with the good speed, you can relocate fast and get to those broadsides. Running away from your lemming-minded teammates is something i like Reminds me of my last GK game, where i had another GK hugging my [edited]... so annoying. And the HE is not the greatest, but still better than others imo. Better than the german atleast, and while its slightly worse than Montana, the reloadbooster does come in handy again. Here my hitrates btw Had to go deep to include Thunderer... Thunderer and Kremlin supposed to be accurate - dont hit anything for me. Atleast the last Kremlin game i played was decent, but it still didnt feel as good as its supposed to, like getting no citadel on a flat broadside Yoshino at <12km. Yes still got them after the first salvo, but still... I havent played many games in either of those 2, but i havent felt it. Compared to Yamato, which is great. JB, Alsace, Bourgogne and Richelieu are all above 30%.

    I really have no idea either... Has to be one of those: - Pure greed to force a shipclass into the game to get more players (like subs eventually) or - There is a true baby in charge at WG, that needs his protected class. BBs obviously werent enough, but might explain why they have been the easy class for years. RTS CVs ofc had the drawback of getting shutdown by unicum CVs if you were a potato. With new CVs, every baby can play it and be safe from enemies, feeling like king of the world on A1.

    I think its equally unfair that they can do that to cruisers aswell. BBs usually not that fast.... but as you said yourself, BBs and Cruisers have it harder carrying to begin with, so its also pretty unfair, that a CV can just kill anyone. DDs get shafted the most, no arguement there, but if you remove it for DDs, you gonna shift it to Cruisers - and its not like they have it too easy to begin with. See german CVs, who are perfect in r***ing cruisers.

    I disagree, i think because of the speed and reloadbooster, Bourgogne is the best BB in the game. It might not be able to solve everything, but it doesnt have to. It can just go somewhere else or kill enough enemies with reloadbooster to get the advantage in numbers. Ohio and Kremlin struggle with BBs on their own, while Yamato atleast has the upper hand at times. And Bourgogne is better/faster at dealing with ships showing broadside. Like Bourgogne facing a Yamato, ofc thats bad because you get lolpenned everywhere. But you can move away from it with the speed, get the angle for other ships near the Yamato and when the Yamato is alone, Bourgogne can kill it aswell. Here my avg shells fired per game More shells = more hits = more damage = faster kills

    Imo the credits are worse in there. And we used to get less of those. Then i rather take some Camos or Flags - feels atleast better than Credits. In less than 4 years i accumulated 20k doubloons (maybe even a bit more), and by no means am i playing every day. Pretty much stopped doing that >2 years ago when i took my first break for a few months. For a F2P player, every bit helps. And be it only to buy a port slot or so...

    If you look at the best players you should get the answer. Since the best players will harvest the ships potential, they should get the maximum possible results. Thats why, WG should rather balance by unicums than by average players. If you balance by average, a ship with high skill floor will seem weak or ok at best, but played by good players it might turn out to be OP. Ofc that might eventually result in ships, which are not for the average player, but i dont think that would be a bad thing.

  23. I dont think you will succeed with minor stuff like not using camo/signals. You would need to overcome map awareness, which i assume should be quite a challenge. Most bad plays result from bad map awareness coupled with being overly self-confident i.e. i just gonna push there and kill the enemies. An easy rule which i have observed amongst many players: - If something is spotted, be cautious and camp in the back - If nothing is spotted, push in. <-- this obviously is againt better judgement of players who know whats going on. Like there is a DD, and you just rush it with your BB. Under no circumstances i advice anyone to play like i mention in this spoiler (just as a disclaimer) Thats whats coming to my mind when i think about bad play. Just random stuff which makes no sense, either knowingly or unknowingly. Overall, i dont know if that test makes any sense. We all know why bad players play bad, and a 45% player can be the result of different stuff (camping in the back or yoloing).

    I prefer both Venezia and Henri. Venezia is just braindead easy with the SAP, and Henri has better AP... really sad that Hindenburg only has gimped AP with retarded HE
