    Ill bump this up... and i feel 100% correct about what i stated here. Lowtier sides easily wins more often from ive seen & heard myself. I tried one game with Massa, and this would be winnable, IF the teammates around me would have brain - like i wrote a month ago. Had a Mahan rush the cap, smoke up, then suicide (enemies had no DD, easiest game ever you would think). Meanwhile, Edinburgh doesnt do anything, and one BB camps in the back. And EVERY enemy ship shot HE at us (including 3 BBs) making me burn permanently. Playing on the lowtier side is hilariously easy, since the toptier players just lack the skill to compensate for it. I was actually scared the one game they had 2 Akizukis... well, they smoked up our Cruisers. - Lowtier side can just push and spam HE for easy win. - Toptier side needs significant more skill to win and no noobs to die without doing anything. - Id assume Cruisers could shift the tide for the hightier team, but so far i havent seen a single good Cruiser player on the hightier side. Coupled with there is usually only 1 to begin with. Havent had a CV game, which is quite weird as the queue is full of CVs, but im not sure if a T8 CV will do too much, as it reduces tanking power even further.

    guess thats how you farm tokens. Rush ahead, shoot once, get shot, then go to mapborder while drinking coffee or something. Come back, play T8 ship = profit.

    well first of all, we agree on CVs and Venezia (even tho it sounds like you didnt) so we can get those out of the way. With CVs, you could balance them so are not OP by the best players, but WG wont do it, since they trust their spreadshit. German BBs: I dont think they perform much worse for good players than other BBs. They might deal less damage, but have other redeeming features. I remember pushing a Benham away in my GK, good luck doing that with a non-hydro BB
  8. Sadly couldnt maintain the 170k average But even so, still managed 126k in a <10 min game by rushing down the flank. Could have gotten more, but game ended thanks to Epicenter One BB on our team literally said, @El2aZeR and @ForlornSailor dont know how to play CV and DD respectively

    I dont think most ships would have such a high discrepency in skill level. Currently most ships are rather balanced, even amongst the good players. They rather deviate for the average guys by being easier to play. I guess we can agree on CVs being the biggest offender for skill discrepency when it comes to Unicums playing them lol... Id say a good example for a line of ships, which perform well for good players but rather bad for the average are italian Cruisers. I dont think they are bad at all, but require more knowledge than simple HE Spam to work. And Venezia was just way over the top, especially with the 15 guns its just too much. It should have gotten 12 like all others. If they would balance by the top players, i think that would have been evident. The same issue plagues french ships with MBRB. The average player is simply incapable of getting the most out of it, as they will just pop it regardless of the situation. While you get the most out of it either by setting permafire (after DCP) or by making a fast switch to AP, or by getting 2 AP salvos in during a ships turn. The consumable itself is so OP, that it makes proper balancing literally impossible. Might this have been discovered with looking at the correct data? maybe.. maybe not. Last but not least those clear-cut cases, which should be just evident that they are broken, like Musashi. Its a T10 ship on T9, with minor tweaks. But Musashi gets matched against ships like Izumo or FDG (even back before they got buffed several times) and Yamato gets matched against much stronger ships tier for tier.

    I guess id still take that one over, lets say, how CVs are balanced now, which is basicly the opposite. So CVs are "balanced" by average, but good CVs just can do whatever the want. Also, average playerbase is so bad, i somehow doubt that it would actually happen unless you really give them some absolute noobproof BS...

    AR is useful for every ship. (except CVs) I lost count of the engagements, when i managed to shoot a ship again because i had AR and the enemy didnt. Especially useful for BBs with longer reload, so you get to kill him before he gets another volley of at you. Id even say its less useful for DDs, since they rather keep their health than lose it.

    24 players, all have 40% WR - what will happen? Will 15 players lose and only 9 win so they maintain 40% WR? Or will 12 players win/lose, which means that they will be drawn towards 50% WR? Why shouldnt there be ships, which are easier/harder to play? If you balance by average, basicly everything is fine. See CVs, which could even be buffed if we go by the average player, while good CV players dominate everything... If you balance by the best players, you will see the potential the ships have. If they are equal compared to other ships, balance is successful. That doesnt mean, every bad or average player will have the same results - but why should they?

  18. Actually, forget the above. Been looking at the wrong numbers. Have to calculate with traverse speed and add 20% to that. So Kremlin goes from 26,9 sec to 25 sec. Cruisers, f.e. Hindi with 8°/sec base turn goes from 20,69 to 18,75 secs. Yamato loses in either case, 3,7°/sec drops to 3,6° for non-LM, and LM yamato drops from 3,31° to 3,13°.

    Imo the problem is, its basicly buffs to CV noobs. Which, yes ofc, reduces the skillgap, but the wrong way. It does nothing to make good CV players less strong (arguably even stronger with flat buffs to bombs and indirectly more damage to torps by ignoring torp protection). Good CV players dont need 33% flak damage reduction - but noobs do.
  20. Apparently, Cruisers are supposed to be torpboats, now that they get access to extra torpdamage ontop of extra floodchance and faster torps too Guess WG looked at last sprint and were like: WE have to act fast, german Cruisers were the top picks *soviet screeching in the back*

    If we can go by the occasional BBaby finding its way into the forum, who clearly believes in BB supremecy and demands this and that, then it does make sense doesnt it? Super long range secondaries so they go BOOM BOOM all the time, thats what the majority of the players want There is a very small minority here in the forum, who actually understands the problems with the game. Now imagine, all the BBabies getting to write their feedback when WG gives them a survey, i can imagine how that looks like - My BBs burn too much - Cruisers are OP - Torps are OP - DDs are OP - My secondaries never fire So yeah... im not surprised anymore. Spreadsheet gets fed by idiot-surveys. Wasnt that CV only skill?

Cruisers are supposed to rush into BB secondary range, throw torps and die like a good pleb-boat I mean, look at the Cruiser skills: - Extra torp range&damage and faster torps... - Better gun/secondary reload if in secondary range, but no skills to actually buff secondary range Not to mention, Cruisers only get 8% faster reload, while a BB gets 10%, which is ofc a much bigger buff since their reload is slower to begin with. So BBs essentially gain ~3 sec reload, but Cruisers ~1 or even less. AND the change to 20% on the turret traverse also favours BBs heavily, since the slower your turrets turn to begin with, the more you gain (yamato should be like 14 secs or so, while Cruisers get ~4-5 sec). Currently, its exactly the opposite, when DDs gain more from that skill, and BBs/Cruisers gain the same. WG staff only seems to play BBs and CVs, because they know how to make them stronger. DDs and Cruisers get permanently shafted, and the Skills are mostly useless aswell. Not that we had much variety for Cruisers to begin with, but now it got actually worse, no more AFT/LS/Vigilance...

    Guess thats the crap people come up with, when they cant imagine anything useful? Speed increase/damage increase and such is only to confuse the playerbase. F.e. if i get hit by something which i dont see, and it deals x damage, i know which ship it can be based on the ships present in the game. However, you start adding 5/7/10% or whatever, it becomes much more confusing.
