After only playing 2 times with Tallinn, i wonder which genius proclaimed that they are supposedly OP... they literally dont hit anything because of that crap dispersion. Great you can citadel something, if you manage to hit the citadel which often just yields 1 citadel and then target is already angled. Petro might be different, but i guess Riga is much like Tallinn.

Ok so we put 12 75% players in one team, and we tell them, they already won REGARDLESS of how they play. They would also win by being AFK? Thats the logic you guys are currently presenting. -
Armor schemes on mid-tier American and Jap BBs
DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
Ashitaka has atleast a bit more range than the others, which helps a little bit. Lyon can get tanked by T8+ Cruisers, so it might be forced to spam HE. Nelson has a huge citadel and is very slow, if you see a Musashi you can rollover and die. Sinop sure has the best armor even when uptiered, but staying at range wont yield too good results either. I think Nagato and Ashitaka have more problems amongst T7 BBs, as they get overmatched but have issues overmatching others (Sinop/Lyon). Against T8-9 BBs they will all struggle to some degree. -

I kinda meant, if you target a spotted BB, and there are unspotted ships in the general area around that BB which you probably would hit aswell. Imagine 18km secondaries with a base dispersion of 1km or so -

Armor schemes on mid-tier American and Jap BBs
DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
Thats because they are around for the longest time. Naturally, US and IJN BBs are usually the last in alltime stats. And then there is the issue, if someone played those ships 4 years ago, but Sinop 1 year ago, that he might be much better player now than he was 4 years ago. Its normal that he would have better stats in Sinop than with Nagato, just because his skill improved over time. I havent touched most if any ship ive grinded years ago, either because i grind new lines or pick a premium ship if i choose to play that tier. -

Then they might aswell just scrap the captain skill for -10% MB reload if ship in secondary range, and give german BBs 10% reload buff, because thats the result you propose. Not to mention 18km stealth secondaries would just be stupid on any level. First being stealth shooting, 2nd not hitting anything. Or most likely you hit ships which you dont want to hit in the first place (or dont even see for that matter) Also: imagine like 6 german BBs doing that... LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG -
https://wows-numbers.com/de/season/110,Sprint-10/ Enty followed by Tirpitz & Massa (Bs). Then GZs and Prinz Eugen. Monarch
-
Atleast in the 1v1 we had it was basicly impossible, since 1 cap always had island cover, resulting in the kiter actually having no choice but to go in and stop the cap. Won 4/4 with Hipper against Massas/Tirpitz's, twice tried the tactic you described. They went in a bit, tried to let their secondaries work. I got behind an island and got the Cap. Result was they had to move in, and take my torps. Essentially Monarch has the same issue, since it has no torps and a Citadel.
-
Why would you pick a BB with a citadel? Assuming we are talking about a 1v1 mode like we had, where you actually have to get in the caps in order not to lose. Like Massa would just driveby a Monarch for easy kill, while Monarch cant do the same. Massa even has the better repair party. Not to mention Tirpitz with torps.

They also change it, so the other side of the secondaries will fire without a dispersion buff, while currently they dont fire at all. Sure its not the smartest to go into a crossfire, but can be useful at times. Also WG introduces a skill, that improves reload for mainbattery when in secondary range ( i believe it was reload and not dispersion... little bit confused now that i wrote it ). So their reason to "nerf" secondary dispersion is, to get better main battery performance. -

Armor schemes on mid-tier American and Jap BBs
DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
I dont think it is. See, if you compare T6 to T8 ships, its normal that the T6 ships should be weaker. If you want to buff T6 ships based on their performance against T8, you have to also buff T5 ships since now you made them weaker against T6 ships. And in the end, you have to buff everything down the road. Also T5-6 French BBs are considered to be pretty weak. Lyon is good yep, mostly due to the sheer volume of crap you throw out tho. I wouldnt call Kongo/Fuso strongest either. Imo on midtiers, russians take easily the topspots with Pyotr and Sinop. Izmail is more balanced so to say, but still quite strong, atleast better than Fuso imo. I think, most T6 BBs are actually quite balanced amongst one another. Well, i only agreed on T5 tho? T6 QE aint better than NM in defensive capabilities. KGV is just worse than Colo. I think the problem is, that WG just kept releasing bigger caliber BBs with same or even better armor. Colo+Nagato vs Sinop comes to mind. All >400mm caliber, but the first 2 have rather weak armor and Sinop can just bowtank. -

They only nerf manual secondaries as a skill (60 -> 35%) - not the base dispersion from any ship. Maybe someone didnt write that properly. Due to Massa having better base dispersion to begin with, it actually gets less effected than all other BBs, since it doesnt matter so much if it gets -60% or -35% dispersion from manual secondaries. -
Armor schemes on mid-tier American and Jap BBs
DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
Gotta be honest, the logic behind this escapes me. Yes, T6 isnt in a good spot MM wise, never was, maybe its even worse these days. But both teams still have T6 ships. Comparing yourself to hightier ships would only make sense, if you would get matched against them, f.e. you play NM and the enemies get a KGV instead. Dont agree with that. Well, on T5 probably, because Iron duke is quite tanky and NY not so much. But QE vs NM? Both 26mm all around, QE citadel is harder to reach yes (maybe even impossible?), but NM isnt known for being easily citadelled. Both slow af. KGV is much more squishy than Colo, having an actual citadel these days, while Colorado isnt citadelled easily. Colo also has atleast decent caliber, while KGV is stuck with small caliber AP, which cant overmatch anything except T5 BBs. And none of the midtier RN BB has that good heal, while US BBs do have the improved 0,66%/sec repair party. Not sure how that makes sense, seeing how rarely BBs detonate. And most of them detonate to torps, atleast from what ive seen. -

DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
I just dont think that statement is correct: - Cruisers complain, rightfully so, about being overmatched by more and more BBs these days without much or any chance to reduce incoming shell damage. And Cruisers are more likely to get frontal citadelled than BBs. - In a BB vs BB fight, only one being able to overmatch the other is a huge issue, unless the non-overmatchable BB is played by a complete retard. -

DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
Id still shoot a BB which i can hit + overmatch regardless of angle, than one which is angled and i cant overmatch or only overmatch at the bow. The first scenario usually still yields 10+k or even a citadel (through bow into frontal citadel plating), and the latter might be 2 overpens into superstructure. Not to mention, a "properly" angled BB still generates quite a lot of area to hit, compared to a bow-on BB which could result in 1 hit or even nothing at all. -

How is it a nerf to any specific BB (Massa in this case) when the captain skill has no direct influence towards Massa? Is Massa somehow sold with Manual secondary skill? The changes we currently know of, is an overhaul to a skill, which impacts ships both positively and negatively. We dont even know, if or how those ships get compensated in any other form. Massa will work fine even with only 35% dispersion buff instead of 60% - i know from people playing it without that skill. We might end up with a scenario like this: - US secondary BBs get improved dispersion (like we have now) - German BBs get improved pen (like we have now) - All others just get the range without any extra dispersion or penetration, like French BBs currently. (what they claim as "majority of BBs will get longer secondary range" could just mean this). -

DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
Thats a nice brainfart i suppose? Since overmatch removes the option of angling... Why do you compare T5-6 BBs against T6-7 BBs? The proper way of fighting an unfavourable engagement is to not fight on the enemies terms. Outplay him, or deal with him later. -

DFens_666 replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
I dont think NM and Colorado need it, because they have a good citadel protection and a slightly better heal than normal. I wouldnt argue against Nagato getting a bit better plating, seeing how she also takes citadels so easily, especially compared to Sinop, which has extra armor everywhere while only getting citadelled when showing broadside. So basicly both get citadelled when broadside, but Nagato cant angle ontop of that and gets also citadelled through the bow. But in general, BBs overmatching one another is better for the game, as bowtanking BBs make for stale bowtanking meta, because they can just lay anchor since they wont take too much alpha damage. -

Who cares about potential damage in a certain timeframe? CVs atleast deal equal damage as BBs, or even more depending on the CV. Harugumo gunbuild has 429,293 AP DPM... compared to Amagis 252k... so ridiculous, nerf DDs, buff BBs In reality Amagi 57k avg damage Harugumo 49k -

Exactly.. like "BB in the center position for crossfire" --> All BB turds go into the center In a way, Flamu is ruining the game aswell
