Henri accel-dodging at 17km was retarded and needed a nerf. Henri is still a strong cruiser, despite the nerf. The problem was, it never needed a MBRB, which made it too powerful. MBRB in general is a stupid consumable and should be removed from the game. Stalingrad isnt really accessable to most players. There are like 13k Stalingrads on EU server, but 42k Smolensk. A good player wouldnt pick Smolensk in ranked tho, as Stalingrad is basicly just better. If the enemy team knows how to angle, and your team cant create crossfire, you can just go home with Stalingrad thanks to its low DPM. Its good at punishing mistakes, apart from that, not so much.

Nerfs to Smolensk and Colbert were just covered as "general changes" since no techtree ship got changed apart from those 2. Atleast thats how i see it. Those were direct nerfs to those 2 ships. I mean, they didnt nerf Wooster down to 16mm armor despite being a CL

Dunno, but i doubt it if they actually hit the citadel. I guess its also very hard to proof. But there certainly are BBs which are (almost) impossible to citadel, as you will get pens but no citadel. That pretty much sums up misplay in my book. - A russian DD playing torpedoboat There is a reason for the 4km torprange. They are not supposed to use them all the time. Its a last ditch effort weapon, which can be used to ambush other ships. If you try to ambush a ship with hydro -> thats a misplay. Or atleast such a high risk move, that its supposed to fail most of the time. Any ship should not be able to kill every other ship and get away with it. Can you ambush a Colorado with your Minsk? Most likely, its slow and has no hydro. Should you do it to a DoY which actually has hydro? Most likely not, or there is atleast a chance to fail. Should you do it to a Fiji? Hell no, its a deserved fail. Point is, it should not be as easy possible to every ship. Learning, which ships to avoid is part of becoming a better player. Again a misplay on the DD part. If you camp island in a french DD, you are doing it wrong. Most of the time, camping islands with DDs is a misplay, as you have no vision whats actually happening. If the BB comes around at 2km, you are lucky and can torp him. If he comes in from 5km, you might be screwed as he has time to dodge your torps.

Atleast AP bombs could be tweaked in a way, that they would cause overpens on (most) Cruisers but Citadel BBs. Currently we have AP bombs, that citadel all Cruisers and some BBs but cant citadel other BBs at all. But they would be spotted anyway, unless the sit in smoke. And most of them dont need to get <6km close to a ship to torp it, and those that do, would be spotted regardless. If you [edited]up as a DD, yes, hydro is much worse than Radar. But that requires always a misplay, since you outspot hydro ships by several km. So misplaying shouldnt be punished?

1. Hydro doesnt really counter DDs, as you would effectively see the DD before he gets into hydro range, except extreme cases like 6km german Hydro vs <6km detection DDs. But yes, Hydro is a counter to the mainweapon of DDs: Torps. Btw torp detection is not 6km, even if you enhance german hydro with improved Vigilance. Something like 5,3km should be max, while disregarding the questionable use from vigilance in the first place. 2. We only have 6 BBs with hydro right now, wouldnt call that "widespread". Alltho one could question the necessety of BBs/DDs with Hydro. Then again, ive seen people take spotted torps from their own hydro so... 3. Radar too effective... i guess thats everyones personal opinion. Some is, some isnt imo, depends on ship and radar range. 4. CVs should be a counter to BBs, yes. Sadly, literally all types of armament are more deadly to DDs and Cruisers - Rockets are strongest aginst DDs - AP rockets are strongest against Cruisers - AP Bombs are more deadly to Cruisers as they have less health - Torps hurt Cruisers more because BBs have more health and torpedo belt - HE bombs hurt Cruisers/DDs more because of lower health. There is not a single type of plane, which hurt BBs the most.

Even more so, since they seem to get more XP when the team does more stuff. for example this Mino didnt do anything, except shoot the Conq a little bit when it was passing by at the islands going towards C. He torped the Thunderer, but didnt hit at all. And he got 9 plane kills. Dead before 5 minutes, yet his XP Yes he was still last, but he got more XP because everyone got more XP.

Pete even gave the right answer in his other post, yet didnt get the right conclusion. 2x 45% players can have 45% for different reasons. - One can suicide all the time, being dead after 3-5 minutes. In randoms, that does not have a big impact, especially since the chances are good, there are some others like him on the enemy team aswell. - The other might be sitting in spawn with his full HP BB. But for a good player, the 2nd one is by far the better teammate, simply because he doesnt die. You only need those fast suiciders in DDs and its a lost game. If you have 2 DDs out of 6-8 per game die without doing anything (and maybe a Cruiser getting devstruck ontop of that), then its highly likely that you will lose one more as he faces more DDs at once. DDs will push the other ships away due to permaspotting, while the enemies can take longrange (unspotted) potshots at those retreating ships. For ranked, this only evens out in theory over time, because most of the time you wont play that many games. My latest ranked session 2 days ago was filled with roflstomps. One team was often several ships down after 5-6 minutes. And it was my team a bit more often than the enemies... I even had a 57% player once, who played like a 45%er. And one game, enemies had 4x Unicums, thats just a default loss, they didnt lose a single ship.

Who is stopping me from playing a ship without 19pt captain? If that ensures better teammates, id do it. Most signals are also not "needed", anti-fire/heal-flag are ofc very strong for BBs/BCs, and secondary BBs want the secondary flag. DDs want Deto-flag. Apart from those? Anti-flooding flag is 99% useless, because you dont want to take torps in the first place. Extra fire flags are not necessary, AA flag is useless, Ram flag is gimmick and 99% useless, extra flood chance is for CVs. Lower CD for consumables and extra speed are nice, but by no means necessary. That just means, the system can be rigged without much impact for those doing the rigging, if i can avoid being matched with 400 battle players who use no signals at all. As for "winners dont want to change it", should that be a surprise? They all invested time and effort into becoming better players. So the better they become, the worse their teammates get... what kinda incentive is that to get better? Many decent players leaving the came since CV rework didnt help, as more and more bad players decide the game. Ofc "average" players suffer from that, since they cant influence the game, if they have too many bad players on their team. Blame WG for it. And more and more good players play less, i know it from me and the people around me. Shouldnt be a surprise, that the level of play becomes worse and worse... -

Should work, i forgot how many games you would need to play with 55% WR, like 200 or something IIRC? You need to keep saving stars, then its no problem with 55%. People rank out with 46% WR after all Couldnt find anyone who ranked out with 53 Hindi games? First i wanted to say "wtf" then i thought "lets have a look", you sure he played Hindi?

I had like 40ish % WR yesterday, and didnt move anywhere... Mostly couldnt save stars when games ended extremely fast, and some enemy DDs decided to gift themselves on a silver platter to one of my ships, but not to me. Like Marceau rushing a kremlin at >980 points just to die, and Kremlin saved Star. Or Shima getting detonated by Hindi. So overall didnt advance, but also didnt lose anything... kinda crap tho, playing entire day for nothing Played 2 games yesterday after midnight, those were good wins. Suicidal idiots went to bed apparently.

I sometimes wonder, if people forget that Radar is a counter mechanic for concealed ships, so DDs actually have a counter besides CVs, which are not present every game. A counter for radar would be, if CVs would demand a counter for AA. Or a BB shooting a broadside Cruiser, and the Cruiser can press a button to make the BB salvo vanish. BBs are supposed to counter Cruisers. AA is supposed to counter planes, and Radar is supposed to counter stealth (which is mostly DDs, but not exclusive to them)

Why bother anymore? @159Hunter How can one not understand, that with a "fair" MM, you would still get wins and losses out of your influence.... Even more so, since those ideas always result in 50% WR for everyone, which means 5w/5l regardless of how you play So we went from influencing atleast 4 games out of 10, to 0 out of 10. Such an improvement. -

I agree... been trying to get that 1.35 million damage with BBs in the directive, damage keeps dropping down Started with 90-100k which is kinda eeh, then down to 60k, last game was 30k. Imagine what those DD "learn" from playing Coop. Im king of the world, i can just rush half a dozen enemies and pointblank torp devstrike them. Maybe all this random DD crap comes from bots "teaching" them to be retarded. More and more random DD play and Coop DD play looks the same. Except when they get shot in randoms, they panic smoke and get radared. Then cry how OP radar is.

Counter to (german) BBs ofc They all went to play ranked We are kinda way past that point, where looking at individual ships calling them broken makes any sense. RN CLs were broken when they were released, only its so long ago that nowadays they are far from being broken anymore thanks to powercreep. Same for Kutuzov, or even Belfast. I wouldnt consider Belfast to be as broken/OP as it used to be. - RN BBs - IJN Gunboats - Benham - CVs - Certainly some russian ships - SAP - MBRB
