To Combat longer queues, WG could make a cap of only 1 ship difference per type. f.e. one team can have 1 Stalingrad and the other no BC, but it cant be 2 Stalingrads vs 0 BCs. Question is, does WG understand what ship is which type? For Cruisers its quite obvious, but they might screw up the DDs This would also be a good answer for (CV)/hybrid divs (unless WG restricts that anyway), making the queue time very long for people who wanna div up with 2 or 3 hybrids. -
Yes, because with the huge flooding nerf AND the IFHE nerf, all BBabies get away with extuingishing one fire without getting punished. So essentially it did dumb down the game, because you dont have to learn proper DCP management. Yet, BBabies still whine that fires hurt so much I think they whine more than before actually, probably because they learn less, so it makes sense. And overall, it made the economy even easier for hightiers, as you can get better results without spending any credits, or you earn more credits even with the same result. Naturally, bad players can now play more hightier games without credit issue, so we get worse matches aka more roflstomps. See ever rising complains about "how bad MM has become" while its not a MM issue, but a player issue. I feel validated by my complains about the premium consumables. And i was one of the few anyway... Same issue as above, atleast when we are talking about T9-10 ships. It makes gameplay worse. WG should have never introduced T10 premiums/freemiums and purchasable T9 premiums. T10 being the worst tier left the meme-status a long time ago, now it really is the worst tier of all. Its roflstomps left right and center, with the most clueless players running around in their Thunderers... well, would be nice if they would be running around and not spam HE from 24km

Might aswell split BCs from CAs aswell. Effectively they are more BBs and need BB skills like FP too. But WG sees Cruisers as dirt-crap anyway so GL with that- 20 replies

If you want a mission done, always do it in Coop. Atleast those that can be done in Coop and arent tied to XP. XP based missions are often too tedious to do in coop. Credits really depends on the amount and ships you have, but more often it might be easier to do them in randoms. For everything else, better do it in Coop, especially wins. You basicly win every game, and it takes only like 5-7 mins to get one, compared to doing it in randoms which might take 20 mins and end in a loss, which results in no advancement.

Was just thinking about this, and [edited]it, why not. Is this the worst patch since CV rework? A taste for whats coming? From what ive heard (forum / discord) whats already going on... it literally kills the entire will to play this game. Last couple of days i played a bit more, it was mostly enjoyable even, probably because there were no brainiacs doing stupid missions. Back to my point tho: - STs doing CV + 2x Ise or CV + 2x Tone div. Oh the joy getting [edited]r***d by 3 planes at once. Make no mistake when you enjoy a CV complaining about this - one day, they will come for you. And one day, when they are implemented into the game, you will see 3x Tone or Ise divs camping on A1 in spawn, insulting you when you tell them to tank or deal damage. - Italian BBs... pinnacle of retardation. So when Cruiser SAP is already questionable, BB SAP is mindblowingly stupid? Which ship should survive against 3 of those in a division? On midtiers they can citadel some cruisers, not only more reliable than with AP, but ofc they will also deal more damage than AP would have You dont need testing to know, this is extremely stupid. Heck, we have had Italian Cruisers with SAP, apparently thats no indication what potentially can happen. After hearing/reading this, it instantly killed my will to even play in this patch. Sure you can say, you might not actually see them - but you cant be sure, can you? And already knowing that this crap is happening gives the feeling of "nah, i rather play something else". Will Subs ruin the game? Not at this pace, when we get Ita BBs, CV hybrids and Kitakami to screw everything over.

I guess we have mostly explained our points to each other, so no need to discuss it further, but to this id like to say something: SAP can be in the game - i have no problem with that on a basic level. But atleast balance it. SAP should not be dealing more damage than AP, especially since BB SAP will be able to citadel some Cruisers. Not only is it easier to citadel those Cruisers due to the characteristics (better ricochet angles, no overpens) but it also deals more damage. This makes no sense. Most of the playerbase complains about SAP on Cruisers. Not because its too strong, but because they think its bad. So there is no reason to have it as strong. Its bad for most of the playerbase, but too strong for the best players. If its the same with BB SAP - that i dont know. But if it were, then you might aswell just nerf it, since it wouldnt matter anyway, right? I mean, bad/average players dont understand the mechanics in the first place...

Ive already said it before, but good players pretty much say the opposite of what WG is doing so... yeah, guess you agree with them afterall. WG is constantly doing what BBabies and CV-apologists cry about (Fires OP, torps OP, DDs OP, Cruisers OP, AA OP). And here we are in the shitshow.

I dont understand, why having a balanced game has something to do with e-sports level of competition? Also, what is particulary fun playing against broken game mechanics, like essentially bringing 3 CVs into one battle - there is a reason why you cant put 2 CVs in one division? If you have to release broken/OP gimmicks in order for your customers to keep playing the game, then you will eventually kill the game. Thats how i see it. While i dont disagree with this, it doesnt mean that i have to like it this way. Also if they take it too far, they might kill the game. At this point, id be inclined to have a balanced game which i have to pay for, than having to endure broken CVs (and other stuff) because otherwise noone would play them.

The biggest problem is most likely inconsistency. Sometimes you perform really bad, sometimes average, sometimes decently. https://wows-numbers.com/de/player/552958098,crippsy99/ If you click last 21 days and sort by WR, you can see, that most of the time you win more if your performance is better, with some outliers (tallinn / Moskva on the lucky side, compared to NC / maybe some others on the unlucky side). But here is the problem: Look at some ships like Wooster/Nevsky/Riga. Overall, the stats are just not good enough. Maybe you could have gotten a win here and there with better performance? Hard to say tho...

Well from a gameplay perspective, i dont see much issues with it. It shouldnt make much of a difference (if any). As to why they did it in the first place... i have no idea. Maybe tag some people here if they can find an answer to that? I mean, there are some weird citadels in this game (as i mentioned Cruisers), which is ofc balancing. However, i dont see much of a balancing reason here But i dont think its just lazyness or a bug.

Then why was your first sentence "you guys dont even play wows competetive" and then you claim "wows cant be played competetively"... btw i agree with the latter, this game cant be competetive due to amount of RNG. Also, @ForlornSailor wasnt referring to wows competetive in the first place. The difference is being guines pigs without any chance to combat this. Your answer is "Just leave the game" (aka suicide), which is just... During Kitakami testing, WG literally asked their testers not to do 3x Kitakami divs, because it would upset the playerbase. Do i have to say more about WGs stupid testing mechanics, or even stupid ship ideas to begin with?

What truely competetive? Making stare-off contests with Petros? Getting edited* by CVs? Yes, i can taste the fun... the imaginary balance in "competetive" which re-enforces the imbalance already present in this game 2nd line: Yeah, because wasting 10 mins of my life is sometimes i like to do (load game, wait till it starts, die after few mins, load next game). edit: language please

I still dont understand this. So the "loud minority" is complaining about CVs, which made CVs unplayable (?!), and thats why WoWs is failing? Because the 3% CV players leave the game or what? I think we currently have like 95% casuals (even if they have 30k games - they never learn anything, so they are casual players), and 5% players who are willing to put in some effort to play properly. -
Dunno what "hardcore" players are, but i assume competetive/unicum players? They pretty much say the opposite of what WG is doing, so you agree that they are correct afterall?

What should cause the shell to deflect downwards into the citadel? Its probably impossible to cause this. not to mention, if this would be a thing, you could actually reach the citadel regardless of any deflections (plunging fire, which basicly doesnt exist anyway). Also, ever looked at some Cruiser citadels?

A close loss feels equaly devastating as a close win is satisfying Ive somewhat come to terms with roflstomps. Luckily getting them against me happens rarely due to me playing in divisions only. But i dont dwell on a roflstomp loss, since i couldnt have done anything to prevent that. When you get a close-ish loss, its easier to look back at your game and think "maybe i should have done this or that". Roflstomp wins arent that bad if you manage to have a good game. Ofc roflstomps are annoying/boring, that wont change.

When roflstomp: Complain When close game: Complain So in essence, people want to get 700k avg damage with 12 kills and win EVERY GAME, regardless of their skill level Wonder what the other 23 people will say to that... Once lost a game where i had 6 kills and rest of my team had none. While i finished some low HP ships too, i cant even say it was killstealing, as there was simply noone left to kill them instead Once lost a game where we had 9 kills in our 2 man div. We could have actually won, but points/time ended against us due to Standard battle and people in our base. In the end we played 2vs6 and we pulled it back to 2v1... the one was a CV, he killed one of us and it was lost.

I dunno if they actually do it like this, but ive read how they balance ships according to their claim: - They look how bad/average/good players perform with similar class ships, f.e. Kremlin vs GK/Yama/Monty.. They once showed a graph for T9 cruisers, where Neptune was worst ship for 70-80% of the playerbase, and then it skyrocketed basicly to the top for the top 5%. I still wonder if they take into account when people actually played those ships. RN CLs were extremely strong when they were released, but nowadays Neptune is not something i would pick. But even if they did that, how would they balance ships which are too strong in good hands, while worse for others (Ita CAs maybe?). If you nerf the ship, it should get worse for all others too so... I mean, sure you can tweak perks which make a ship strong for better players, but WG would need to understand what those are, and im not sure if they are capable in doing that.

My random games this year / last year... i mean, says a lot i guess? Not to mention not playing CBs anymore because its just annoying. I was thinking to call it quits when Subs enter randoms, but at this pace i can see it happen before that

Did a DD shoot you and you didnt shoot back at him? 8 HE pens dealing 0 damage - sounds weird to me when everything would pen you except at the citadel (and hitting 8/8 shells on the citadel sounds rather unlikely). Also playing in a division might cause a Unicum div to be put on the enemy team - people often forget that.
