    Well, i dont see any difference actually? Except to the 4man run, which gives significantly less XP. If i compare that to @Ebu34 i still have almost 1k less XP, but my teammates also have basicly less XP, except for his Yorck which has much less. Difference here, i couldnt go for Transports because 2 ships went right down, so i went for CV instead.

    Sure but then you have still 7 guys total. We often do it with 4 guys only. Used to give better XP, ofc they nerfed it so it gives less XP Ill try playing a random Narai on my own see how much XP i can get.

    Its not so much about why you play it, but the very nature of how CVs are implemented in the game. Doesnt matter if you play it for whatever reason, its still the same result...

    When we do 4 people Narai, we usually have a specific plan, otherwise it wouldnt work well. What i usually do as Fiji in that scenario: - Shoot Duguay and Clemson - If necessary the Fort after that - Leander and Nicholas in the center - Then i move towards the transports, shooting the Cruisers in the center a bit - Kill the Fort and Nicholas and all Transports - Enter harbour, usually get half of the Dallas/Campbeltown. - Then the Farragut, as the other Cruiser is busy with the CV. From there on its usually who can grab what. i Focus on the Cruisers ofc, because its easier for me to citadel them, and throw torps at the BBs.

    Thanks for showing this, dunno if you saw my post last page I guess ill tag the usual suspects now: @MrConway can you elaborate on this please? Or ask someone who knows. Similar games, one in 7man Narai, other in 4man Narai. He got like +80% the XP i got. This is just [edited]...

    Is it different to be in a 5 BB and 1 or 2 Cruiser game? Ok, being the sole Cruiser doesnt happen that often anymore since they capped DDs at, but it sometimes happened back in the days with 1CV / 5BB / 1CA / 5 DD games. Now it can be 1/5/2/4 (2/5/1/4 ive seen maybe once or so). But being 2 Cruisers vs tons of spotting (CV + 4 DDs) and 5 big guys who wanna shoot you is equally challenging.

    So i was dreaming argueing against many others who screamed "git gud"? Not saying, others didnt complain, but it was nowhere near that level we have now. Those people often opened a thread, only to get told to "adapt" by a crowd of CV lovers.

    Id disagree. Yes, on an individual level it wont happen often. But when you look at your teammates, its not uncommon that some of them actually didnt do anything and they still win. Its not uncommon to have someone on the winning side, who has less XP than everyone on the losing side.

    Back in RTS CV days, it still made sense for some Cruisers to run DefAA, even if you saw CVs less often than you do now. - IJN Cruisers had really bad AA, so the DefAA panic effect helped them to survive CV attacks - US CAs had strong AA to begin with, thus making them basicly immune when activating DefAA - Russian/French Cruisers with longrange open water playstyle, making it unlikely to be a torpmagnet. - Germans were the only one where i liked to use hydro, as their Hydro was better than others. But even they got away with using DefAA due to their openwater playstyle. UK CLs never had DefAA and US CLs always had both, so no option there. And not to mention, we didnt have those superfast longrange EU DD torps we have now, which are hard to dodge even with hydro. If i played in a division with a RTS CV, i always picked DefAA. Nowadays, i pick hydro because it makes more sense. I could choose to make myself a target not worth going for by using DefAA and picking AA skills. Compared to now, where it doesnt matter what i pick, either CV dies before or gets a strike through. If he gets a strike through and its a bad player, i can still try to dodge his attack. A good player will get a good strike off, thus killing me anyway regardless of my ships composition.

    With the Surrey i went for the Transports, alltho didnt get the achievement because (as usual) the randomly added teammates need to focus all on the unarmed transports instead of focusing on the important targets In a BB, i never go for Transports, rarely for the CV.

    Ever thought it might be not so much fun for the others when they have no chance to spot a well played DD ever? Gotta blame CV rework if there are more people running Hydro. I scrapped all DefAA from my Cruisers and use Hydro. Hydro is much more useful overall than a useless DefAA, which will never save me from a well played CV. Against all other CVs, dodging works.

    I usually tend to get less XP when playing BB, which often is a result of targeting bigger targets and not DDs. Alltho this time, ive dealt a lot of damage on them aswell, the Campbeltown and Farragut inside the harbour. I also did good damage to the highertier ships in Narai So yeah, i have no idea really.... Ill try to investigate more, if i get find some form of proof ill tag the usual suspects in here.

    Definetely something wrong there, did play some Narai today in normal 7 man teams, and XP is what it supposed to be Forgot to take the screens with Surrey where i had >1800 baseXP today... 2 possibilities: - Doing <7 man Narai gives bugged XP - Doing Narai outside of the normal rotation gives less XP Maybe i can get a 4 man Narai some time this week to check what happens.

    Sad to say, but the majority was still in favour of the CV rework even after the launch. I still remember @El2aZeR @ForlornSailor and myself receiving quite some hate around here when we were argueing how OP reworked CVs are, and everyone was just saying "GIT GUD YOU [edited]NOOBS" Most people came around, but took them a few months to realize how bad it actually is.

    Ofc this is all true. But after i checked the Stats for the new US BBs, i dont see any reason for WG to actually Buff them. There is no indication that Kansas is played by more experienced players, on the contrary, id assume good players avoid that ship (line). I think this speaks for which part of the playerbase this design works: For the lower 50%. They are so slow, that they can hardly get into trouble, so they have a chance to survive longer, thus deal more damage / influence the game. Give them an Alsace with worse guns/armor and more speed and they simply yolo with it to their death. Especially the people here in the forum should just accept "hey, this line might not be for me". We already have dozens of other BBs more suited for our playstyle, just take any of those. Thats why i wont touch these BBs, they simply wont fit my playstyle. If i could ultimatively make them work is a non-issue.

    I totaly agree with that, and i think most people would. But if WG is under the impression, quick buck is better than the longrun, then there is nothing we can do about that WGs continous efforts to get new players into the game actually supports that.

    The less they understand of the game, the more money they have to spend. So it makes perfect sense actually. well, that doesnt happen because divs are capped at 3...

    Yeah i agree, then want to have a different approach, and im fine with that aswell. Otherwise, every ship would similar to the other, and i doubt people would like that... Me personaly, i wouldnt want to play them even if they have better reload, simply because they are so slow. I like French BBs a lot because they are so fast, which makes repositioning easier. Also we have to think, that clearly we are not the main audience for US BBs, its for NA server. If they like it, WG might consider it a success. Same as russian ships for russian server

    Then just dont play them? The problem is ofc, that those are all 12 gun BBs, so they need to have some form of balancing. Alsace and Pommern also have 32/33 sec reload but with smaller guns compared to Minnesota. Ontop of that, Minnesota has 1,8 sigma, while Pommern/Alsace have 1,5 and 1,6 respectively. But when WG balances 12 guns with low Sigma, people complain too, so you cant give them everything, otherwise they are just straight-up better than the 8-9 gun BBs on the same tier. I dont know if 35 sec reload would be better if they nerf the Sigma to 1,5-1,6... Vermont even has 1,95 Sigma right now Also Cruiser reload seem to be on the slow side aswell for some time now. Italian, Russian CA, Belfast 43...
