In a world with monq and Roma and to some extent even Iowa/Missouri discussion about invisiblapping cruisers is sort of obsolete/2late by far, i mean they all have comparable or superior armour to any of these new hybrid CAs and wastly more powerfoul hitting guns while all beeing in 12-ish km detection range with a stealth build, roster wise bb or Ca slot doesn’t reall matter much since 2-3 of such ships are enough to invisiblap the entire red team and espetially crusers if they misplay

I ll pitch it in this way - one of my favorite moments in this game is when after couple he slavos from my conqueror (while the enemy is angled) the genious decides i only spam he and turnes Full broadside to me at some 10-ish km naturally i always load ap as soon as i see him startnig the turn i once had 3 customers in a row including devatriking an Iowa and north carolina one after the other -

I did it in Atlanta in the end, had few minotaur attempts but win evaded me in those from your Fleet i guess best bet is clevlend, if u struggle u can div up with a us dd that can smoke and spot for u and its easy going, if u dont can it untill tomorrow i can Go out with u in kidd or fletcher if u want -

Idk for me personnaly - tiers 6-7 can be wery fun and engaging when u re single/top tier, or at least not bottom tier since there is a significant boost for all classes with the stealth upgrade on top of the increase in raw firepower and survivability and hangar capacity and higher tiered planes for cvs i even really like ranked in those tiers since there is bunch of ships there to choose from and they are reasonably Balanced and different from each other (ok payfast truds t7 a bit) and its overall good Experience. tier 5 is fun in some ships if the same conditions are met but some are just weak and obsolete designs compared to others and lack of alt attacks for cvs is frustrating since you are both wery dependent on help to gain air dominance and lomited in your striking options espetially when uptiered as a cv, even more so in a dual cv 5/6 match. tiers 4 and lower dont hold much interest for me i Go there from time to time when i feel the Desire to take out ishizuchi or some other low tier (usually prem) ship for a spin, espetially since u can’t do most of the week/periodic missions in less then t5 or 6 hightiers have special appeal to me since i Play mostly cruisers lately and at t9/10 all of them have heals and that makes life as a cruiser much easyer even with those insane bbs at those tiers ofc Everybody has their own oppinion and fav tiers and every right to Play there to hearts desire -

Im on stage 3 i dont remember exactly witch missions i finished and witch not but its a mix of repeating and playing one by one for the loot and faster progress depending how hard the objective looks Like to me -

Yesterday morning i was slurping my morning java and went in the big E to finish that halsey cv/dd 120 fire/flood mission and i end up in battle against some Poor lexi (bad enough for him from start) but his dds were, Well braindead i guess would fit... Aside from the usual “oh lookie planes i better slow Down in my Smoke” tm dd there was a guy that openly (not even smoked up) parked dead still his benson paralel to an Island i guess he was convinced tbs are unable to change direction from witch they fly in... Not hard to imagine what happened next

I second that sir, also we should add a premium consumable for any slot - a tactical nuke capped antiship mislile with passive lock on option so can fire it loosley in the direction of enemy Fleet and guarantee a kraken in that match as the wery least -

Really? Interesting so if let’s say at the beginning of the match cap a and b is decided and u see enemy coming in on b and switch undetected to c and leave say 2 cruisers that cannot disingage while spotted and get wrecked (couse say 3 bbs and a dd turned tail and left them to die) and they express their displesure they shouldnt be able to nick ar your karma couse u “managed to survive” and spam yourself up? Hypotheticly speaking i dont aim the comment at you personnaly.

Seems to be some bug if u have replay stick it in bug Report section as for performance did a 206k kraken match the other day workwd as per usual for me

No need it was reality not so long ago u would take an american dd and drop a Cloud in a good spamminf position and Go out for spotting and half of team would cram in it and spam away

DDs still counter BBs in general but if somones idea of counter is to come within 6-8km undetected and fire 6-10 15+ k damage 65 knot torps that when spotted incoming give the BB 6-10s to react (whitch is usally half or even less of the rudder shift time of an average bb) and evade them and do so from tier 3 to tier 10 and that BB by extension should not be allowed to hurt them at all with guns (even when dd is detected) is sort od biased dont u think so? And no “Random speed and course changes” are not really an answer becouse you both need to Go places with that bb to support and Random courses wont get u far and becouse that kind of turning while beeing spotted by that same dd u can’t see will sooner or later make you broadside to its bbs that will happily Plant some cits in your side. Or to put it more bluntley to have “rock/paper/scissors hard counter only” concept dds should be unable to delete a cruiser as its “hard counter” but they can, can’t they? Or does one think that getting blown up by 1-2 torps from a dd while in a cruiser is any different in principle to Getting zapped by a bb salvo in a dd. The problem that breeds the radar situation are the dds themselves and their small detection ranges that allow spotting atacking of all other classes both directly by torping from stealth (u dont get lit up firing torps) and indirectly (by exposing all spotted ships to long range focused fire), only way to get the dds to not do that is to find them and since they both outspot and outrun all other classes u can only do that 2 ways - by radaring them with a long range radar or by flying over them with (controlable) planes and with cv population and skillset needed to operate them beeing what they are most choose the former
