Somehow I just cant see this as an issue, would bring up some of the usual "idle" methaphores but they dont really apply here since you could hardly say that ui dev departement doesnt gave any other issues (bugs) to adress and hence should be idle...

And that is the core of the issue yy insane guns (before haragumo and daring) combined with radar were sort of what made it interesting in competitive ie the option to light up smoked up targets (ie other dds) for team to shoot and drop on outside their hydro and spotting ranges (even if it lasted only a short while) and your guns made you able to both pitch in and defend yourself should an enemy dd stumble across you as a drawback your torps are usless against other dds and when playing like that you dont have smoke to break off detection should you get caught in the open or out of position... IE all you had to deter most other dds from pushing into you were the guns and their knowlege they will most likely die or get crippeled beyond hope if they push in now its another story alltogether, and fact that several dds have heal including the next contender (daring) just adds insult to injury

I give up on yy in both random and rank while its in this state, we have clan consults in 3 days to hammer out details for cw season and unless clan requires of me to keep it - its getting sold, unlocked daring yesterday and since I already have gearing and z-52 i have plenty to pick from, I do better with us gunnery then german but rn dd guns are pretty similar to us and jutland taught me the usage of sAP that acctally does quite nicely even for dd vs dd fights, not to mention iz has defensive hydro and breakoff smoke that is pretty much always handy... I would also like to have option to sell permacamo(s) even if only half gold is given since IMHO there is just no reason to play this ship anymore...

Well the policy so far seems to be thus - freexp (and some gold ships as well) ship gets added to arsenal for coal sooner or later (musashi & kron) while the opposite (salem and lately seems jean bart as well) are not added as freexp ships, hence value of coal > value of freexp also the latter is much easyer to farm "en masse" giving coal even more relative value, furthermore with coal you can buy other stuff as well (camos, upgrades etc) so id say - get it for freexp and hoard the coal

For gods sake man, at least leave us hope!

Doubtfoull tbh if a cv t8 or above zeroes in on your musa nowdays and you are alone you are pretty much history, beeing history slightly faster or slower then now wont change much

Monaghan i didnt buy but if i should get one in a santa crate i wont complain however farragut with b hull and 17pt with rpf on it served me well to nudge our clans alpha team in thyphoon league in the "minime" clanwars we had recently tried t61 but it was sort of underwhealming (its great for randoms tho), maybee im just better with us dds and should stick with them

Well since steel can drop from a sc the issue (at least in theory) in itself is a non issue since you can get a steel ship by patience even without ever playing competitive mods

Radar mino is best used in div with a us dd he smokes up the cap and you punch up hydro and as needed radar to clear out the caps and dispose of the enemy dds, you can play it solo random but its just 2 much work imho

I will go for alaska when she comes along and i have tje resource needed, maybee for the rusky dd as well if it pans out to be decent, jap fantasy ship i ll most likely pass unless its a reward of some sort that can be won without much fuss

@OP Working as intended? Btw just yesterday i gave red dds +1 karma for balls, left without support they tried valiantly to stop my dds whitch were followed by me in the minotaur, especially for the shima that darted out behind an island some 4 km from me, it ended as might be expected with a full reload kitted minotaur dds have a hard life and are let down more often by the team then the other way around

@OP go up the line, forget freexp ing the line ships and conversions and hoard the points until you have enough freexp to buy what you want (by then you will know what it is) oh and save the gold for permanent t10 camos

They are probabbly preparing the new ships for new aaa mechanics after rework, seems most ships released lately have a lot (those that have good aa anyways) of midrange aaa and usually seem to be split in mid and long range aura already

Best (acctually the only) rule of DCP usage is - use brain before you use the finger... Sometimes you need to put that one fire out asap sometimes you let 3 burn through and just heal it up afterwards, risking sudden death salvo just becouse CV might find you is just as stupid as using it to put out first fire when targeted by 5 HE spammers, I mean seriously - cv might find you or he might not or he might fly his bombers right over a trigger happy wooster that put out his aaa suite and poof no planes left...

I think the damage given and recieved depends on your ship total hp dont know the formula and that flag definetly modifes it but its not even that rare to survive the ram itself usually its flooding that gets you
