  1. If they nerfed concealment its pretty much pointless? I mean t8 us ca that is nearly identical to balti you can have for free (many even have that free permacamo for it that was given away this summer) and in current mm that nearly guarantees t10 match...

    @OP Dealing damage by itself is meaningless in the sence of securing victory, ok maybee not completly meaningles but nearly so, dealing damage ina a way and to targets that are key for controling the engagement and the outcome (mostly dds) and controling the map is what wins the battle, there are good guides for low tier play (essentialy for new players) out there by good players of this game such as flamu, flambass, ichase, etc you should take a look at those as well... Oh and btw dont go out in Tirpitz outside of coop, in your current state of play you are just fodder, luckily Tirp can even earn some cash in coop in whitch you can acctually play it very agressive without beeing blown to pieces in 30s even if you are inexpirienced...
  3. How about those swedish Oland class dds? Might fit nicely at T6 or T7 with proper balancing for say 300-350k freexp? since pan-euro tree in making and al that...

  5. I drop fighters for spotting and so its a little harder for a cv to loiter over cap if my dd is going for cap, dont expect much from them really
  6. Irian and some dd, already have a 19pt on chung, first thougt to maybee use it on yy but since i sold it off recently until they fix that bs they did with it it wont be on yy

    Oh but they dont yoo see fire/flood chances are 2 low for reliable dot especially when low tier and alpha is simply pitifoul, lets not forget that those torps often hit torp bulges that cut damage anywhere from 15-ish to as much as 50% and that most of those bombs and rockets will do 1/3 nominal damage since most hits wont be a citadel hit, the point is exactly what you say - no point in playing, not enough reward for 2 much work besides in current standing few premiums and t10 are only cvs worth playing who in their right mind will go willingly play 400 or 500 matches as bottom tier to grind them out? On the other hand mabee that is the point for all to freexp t10s...

    Over-nerfed CVs

    If they want this kind of AA/plane interaction to stay and to work for cv and non cv there are imo 2 paths and wg needs to decide whitch thew want to persue since now it seems they try to go both ways and are getting nowhere in the process... 1) make CV "spot and dot" class for that they need to a) reduce alpha of all cv wepons even more b) increase flood/fire chance so you acctually start those fires and floods in somewhat regular fashion when you hit, you can balance those by twaking aa power so just enough planes can come through BUT that concept failes on the two tier mm issue - when low tier your planes are useless... or 2) make cv alpha striker ie it means a) no spotting for team at all (maybe just the minimap marker) and no torp sootting and b) up cv wepons damage to do massive dam but lower fire and flood chance to tiny levels so when you do get through with the planes and hit it really hurts but its in most cases a one or two hits ordeal without dot and you can balance those by twesking reload of planes on cv and return of the same BUT that concept fails in the pipularity goal since it increases the skill gap problem - more skilled captians will lose less plains and strike faster... I say they are getting nowhere for 2 reasons - accure drop in cv numbers in games after hotfix AND petsonal observation ie I yesterday played few matches in ranger in operation if the week, in seversl instances i hit with rockets and bombs as well as torps repeatedly on t4 ships (mind you this is a t6 cv we are talking about) and i sterted sonething like 2-3 floods and 3-4 fires pet match, against bots, that sail in straight line... I did something like 50-80k damage and killed 3-4 bots off and we won but thus cv iteration a dot class? really? And alpha dmg especially on lower tiers is pitifull also so now its spmething like jack of no trades and also master of none

Well assuming they go through with this (knowing wg history i think we all can agree thats a given) i guess we can expect the similar model for most other "OP premiums" meaning ie: 1) Belfast goes to t8 as is (or with a minimal buff like reload or armor) that doesnt change a damn thing exept it seeing more t9 and facing t10 ships (smoke and radar combo remains intact murdering dds) OR they remove radar/make it interchangable with smoke making it near pointless in that case since you will get deleted as soon as you shoot by bbs just as atlanta or indy are unless you position ideally or just sit in cover to radar and cvs will rip you to piecses in that case 2) Kutuzov goes to t9 and gets heal and t9 slot making it even more powerfoul and making donskoi pointless in the same time OR stays t8 while removing smoke/reducing range of guns again making iz near pointless espetially if they move bellast to t8 as well 3) Gremyashy that basically is a gnevny class anyways wouldnt change much in t6 enviroment, still longer then average torps in tier (for a gunboat) still awsome power in guns, and extra slot to boot, uptiering it without a nerf in stats is therefore usless... 4) Kamikaze well tbh i dont see how you can uptier it in any meaningfoul way t6 dds outtorp it wastly in range and number of fish and that small concealment advantage however nice to have in certain situations wouldnt really compensate for it, ergo it would need to be nerfed "in tier" and really really badly so and since there is a very similar siver ship already in place would make it quite pointless apart from having a ship you dont need a special captian for and thats rather slim a selling point since most of is that have it are not in need of a t5 for a captain trainer ot lacking on highnpoint captains... 5) Kronstadt cant go tier up since stalin is already there and besides we have more t9 big cruisers incoming so it seems it stays where it is and only gets balanced out by new competition aroving and those fire nerfs 6) Stalingrad is tier 10 so cant go up a tier and all the rest apllies just the same as for kron I gor myself am refraining from buying any more premiums untill this mess is sorted out and all the other stuff only on smallest possible quantities

Depends on the bb in question, same as before, for furst (i think) i have PM-EM-SI-AFT-FP-MCFSA-EL for fred i thik i took PM-AR-BFT-AFT-FP-MCFSA-EL didnt change the builds after patch same captains go on sharn and tirp and pef, this way i get some decent mileage from secondaries but im not a complete tinderbox...

    Dont forget yoh have heal circles on that op though and smacking that Izumo was never much of an issue IMO the greater problem was that sneaky push from the west that comes down the map border

Tips? 1) Dont play t8 dds 2) If you have to, pray for a match without a CV 3) Always take smoke, the more you have the better 4) Keep an eye on enemy planes and try to awoid caps that are kept spotted by cv Optionally you can take out kiev and dakka at max speed and range making it real hard for enemy cv to get you, its hardly classic dd play though...

    WG first and foremost mistake in this rework was going with new AA mechanics at the same time as with CV mechanic they should have done it one thing at a time this way its just a see saw...

    The problem with AR mode and hence this season are those buffs in particular the heal boon... Why? becouse it conpletly fu**s up the balance of ships in particular dds and most particular black and kitakaze, ships that were (sort of) balanced in their tier without having a heal (lets consider what ru dds or jutland need to give up to have few heals in normal mode) and now a kita has it with its 8 guns that fire something like every 2.2-2.4 s a shell that penns every bow and stern in tier as well as every dd everywhere and every deck of every cruiser to boot (lets remember that jutland for instance needs to sacrifice 4 captain points just to be able to properly engage other dds let alone cruisers) and that little SOB should be withered down and eliminated BUT now it has a heal it dissapears with 1k health (that would normally eliminate it from any furher real fighting in that match since it would die instantly if located) and returns in few minutes with (nigh) full HP to p**s fire on you again... IDK who in WG came up with this AR game mode but they really have to be a big shot since it seems it HAS to "succede" and get played sice it was rather a marginal event when it first came to be implemented and now its get into the CV testing or play AR mode...

    Well for a torp boat shira is a better choice, for a gunboat lenny is a better choice... Long hydro? Mmkay, maybee... How much utility you will acctually get from it however is another thing completly since the things you are supposed to spot and nuke with that hydro (other dds) will be much easyer to kill with any other dd including maas that has faster guns, its not a bad boat by any means just the mileage you really get IDK but this discussion makes me want go take out mine so i go do that...

What we need is acctually simple sort of ranked mode but permanent, no fixed safe points just leagues call it league mode or whatever entry league say rank 20-14 then third 13-9 second league 8-4 and premier league 3-1 all ships are permitted allmodes are awailable as are now, you get say 30% more xp and 50% more cash for a win and a star but ay 20% less xp and 30% less cash on a loss then in normal random and you lose a star, everybody should eventually settle n their league qnd notmal randoms are still there

    Imo if they want real mileage for average players from these cvs there are 2 ways - 1) basic attack waves for all tiers and aircraft types (exept maybee t4) shoud be 3/9 or maybee 4/12 for t10 ( exeptins in select few cases such as some premiums with weaker or stronger planes) i mean dodging 2 torps in low tiers is simply to easy for most ships other then bbs especially with those long arming distances and double for those slow us torps and when you score a hit for whitch you lose half of yor wave now you get few k damage. 2) option - since it seems they went about to making a "national flavour favour" in a way to have principle plane type for us to DBs for ijn to be TBs and for rn to be APs and that is also ok, maybee even better then having it same across the board BUT then they should make the selected "primary plane type" clearly the strongest type by sqad and damage - say make us DBs go out in 4/12 and others nations in 3/9 (or 2/8 or whatnot) as well for non primary types of that nation (and same for ijn in TBs and for rn in AP) i mean why bother with 2 torp drops in low tiers all that aiming and bother so you score something like 3-4k per torp then its easyer to just spam AP rockets and get few fires you will score 10x as much damage
