For me the main issue is that in t8 and 10 you essentally can count on getting 1 strike off against a target since your planes get shredded when you go in turn to circle around, theoretically you could dart out of range and turn out far away but in most rl situations that only gets you in range of some other red ship and same story - shredding, so unless you are really, really lucky to get some yoloing potato (and there is less of those every day) you can count on 2 runs of full flights of each plane type from whitch you can get 1 strike most of the time and 2 if you are really lucky and after thet you are essentially deplaned in that match, you can deploy some partial sqadrons but due to damage distribution they will often die even before the first strike is dropped so say with haku you get 30-50k damage initally and thats it, you cant really do anything to prevent your planes dying exept not using them at all...

Are invisible torps to be expected after the latest patch?

Best way to drop them -
Any plans in making current T7 campaigns open to t8 cv-s or making/reworking some of those pulled in that direction in near future? Its much easyer to learn dropping mechanics against bots and campaigns offer nice sorroundings to do that, currently we have no use for our t8 cv-s out of randoms and there its often bottom tier you end up as, whitch is hardly a good situation to polish up your technique. Frontier comes to mind as possible candidate, bots there were ever quite strong and bot ranger was usually more of a sidenote with bb and cruiser pushes beeing main source of peril, simply replacing the bot ranger with say aa iowa might be enough to make a nice t7 cruiser and bb and t8 cv operation?

Why indeed? Its a cost/benefit thing? It would be finantially unwise decision to go to those lengths, handing out compensation in virtual goods doesnt cost them anything really (ok some lost income by people not buying them) unlike server setup if that kind, ie they could hand out 5 of every flag and 3 days of premium along 2-3 airdrop containers and 99% would find that fine while it would generate maybee couple of k euro of losst revenue (as said by people not buying the goods they gave away as compensation) if even that now you working in the sector surely now the cost of building and maintaining (or renting) a multi redudnancy system, it just doesnt pay off
-
Techical issues are a fact of life in this line of buisness, pretty sure wg will hand out day or two of premium as reparation and even or extend missions if needbe, they have done it regurarly in the past

Exeter - guns highly ineffective at times?

Well shell speed is similar to us mid tier 8" and they are not hard to aim or hit with -
True if you buy crates buy for florins not the odd chance you will win the lottery

@OP Well while it can be an annoyance and I get your beef, you are in a clan? Hard to belive it would be such a problem to do that mission ie that none of your clanmates has a cv handy for diving up? Anyway if it should be the case and you need a div m8 you can ping me in the evening and we can div up in any tier you want so you can have a shot at those plane kills

Well they are CLs not CAs there is a distinct difference in their role even if it got smudeged in game "a bit" -
I for one had some "disposable cash" allocated for this whole event(s) and in it was still room for 5 boxes at these prices and thats what i just bought after this no more larger spending for the forseable future, so what I get I get, I might possibly buy 1 more or something like that later on if it happens to be just what i lack to get t8 cv or complete collection but not much more

Well they changed hood shells recently? As for vanguard it somehow always feels to me like his shells are better for cruiser blapping and somehow dont do that good a job on bbs and that in wows usually means some shenanigans was done with penetration and/or fuse timers but I might be wrong there? -

Dude your question is answered by understanding what you shot at, becouse if he angles al least some he will bounce lots of your shells off while you cant bounce his, but ok if you want to discuss the guns per se - they are fine, acctually the only really good thing on it imho -

M8 load up taco im the techtree and look at her armour sheme and then you will understand the problem, that is also my beef with the armour sheme on the exeter herself, that armor (or lack thereoff) is all fine and dandy on rn cls that have the bloody smoke and the ship was obviously designed around having it and then it was removed (muh balans) but nothing really got changed in its armour to compensate it, I mean ffs kirov (renown as the toughest cruiser around, oh wait) has more plate then her, having heal is not really the compensation since there is only so much you can heal in a given amount of time and alltogether while if something bounced off it didnt do any damage to begin with -
As far as i understand it, it goes like this - if you sell midway (via arsenal option) 330k go to lex and if you sell lex afther that those 330k and everything else you have hoarded on lex herself goes to ranger, exept for the 239k that you "spent" on her before patch 0.8.0, again if you subseqently sell ranger same thing applys and 330k of midway and all hoarded on lex and ranger since the 0.8.0 patch go to langley (and research cost of it from before patch becomes freexp) and only if you sell langley then it goes to erie, also when you sell any cv its captain is reasigned to erie

Well not having played many battles in alaska as of yet for obvious reasons i feel much more comfortable doing close forward support in her then in kron (or even stalin) but then again it might just be psycological thing...
-
Well personal look & feel - with grad you get more cits espetially on long ranges and hence is easyer to punish broadsides, alaska gets you more pens per salvo on average and delivers a bit more consistently, kron is even more broadisde dependand then grad but pays off nicely in cits as well however its also much softer with that 25mm plate
-
Interestinly enough i was sitting in Alaska yesterday ina a perfect position to rain doom upon 4 enemy ships that broadsided past the cap some 15km away but despite 3 dds and a cv i had to move without firing a single shot couse noone spoted them long enough to aim, also i had to call out to friendly yugumo to cap the bloody c cap, like im there in a radar supercruser right on the cap edge with you, also you see the message that I am using radar and there is nothing there, wth are you waiting for
