Yep, however some brainiacs dont quite get it, yesterday had a "speshul one" complaining I didnt drop fighters over him and other 7 blobers at C cap (was busy at A and B caps) complete with complaining "I wasted all my planes on droping desmo" and beeing a "kid moron" good thing we won, I was second in end lineup with some 1900 base xp even with only 76k damage (pretty low for audatios) and had full squads out the entire match (a fact that some of the others tried to point out as well as the fact that i was busy at A and B) and he was near the end in his smolensk...

Yes exept withering down a bb with fire and he takes several minutes while dying to an accurate AP salvo takes 10s shell flight time

@OP There is the high tier premium issue in general that people already mentioned, that said I would hardly recommend any T7 premium apart from maybe Haida due to bad concealment and the fact that T8 can mount the concealment module, You should be able to get away with a Cossack at T8 as long as you remember not to gunboat every dd you see when not top tier she is quite user friendly

Well its the same for any smoke gunship really (Haragumo for instance has exactly the same problem IMHO) unless you are in a division you can pretty much forget that you will use the smoke for yourself in any circumstances since the selfish bastards out there wont spot even if you are down at the 2k after you killed a Vaquelin done 50k and capped even though you can melt the Fiji and Sinop that later kill them off, everybody knows best players are island huggers no?

Those numbers mean little, you need to look at the damage per zone and chance to hit of the auras, as well as the number of flak bursts... From top of my head I guess you should take a look at Konig, Pyotr, Emile and Kirov

No its not, in the first iteration of the AA it was enough to be able to find the W and S keys and you would do a run with like one plane lost from the entire attack wing if even that, I (and I suck at cvs in general and especially at IJN cvs) remember doing multi runs with Haku 4 torper squads again and again without having to take out any other plane type more then once every now and then so my planes have time to return and stack back up, also if you were in a tight spot you just pressed F and hey presto 3/4 of a squad returned safely... Current AA is nothing like the one back then -
Oh I have as well, and while I was angled "perfectly" as well, also in the first Ranked season when Kremlin came out I slapped more then my share of Desmos and Salems by multiovermatching them BUT that is how it works, we take out cruisers and we accept a sudden death option, IMO this is a part of the game that works well and should not be touched, if a nerf in a cruiser/battleship interaction is needed it might be considered in the fire and IFHE pen department and AFAIK that is already in the works...

Well in all honesty the amount we are talking about here is really not that large? I mean you will lose like what a 3-4 mil net silver on resetting one line? I would more like to have an automatic free module demount and full premium camo refund when you reset, that way you could truly RESET the line and regrind it from scratch, and then with gold in the wallet decide if you want the camos back or not, many of the ships were powercrept through the years or just are not that interesting to old players anymore and would be nice to be able to shift your interest somewhere else, I mean after the history of nerfbatting some of the T10 many will be cautious to invest more gold into the T10 permacamos again... -
Yeah annoyingly high amount of air pest around today, out of some 15 matches I played i think 2 were without cvs...

Well for the discussion sake - today I was sailing my Bayard, for those that are not familiar with it, it has 16mm nose and stern and most of it is clad in 27mm some of which is neatly angled unless you are angled yourself and at that point becomes a nice flat 27mm surface, so here I am sailing towards C at Shards with a Bismarck and we happen to meet an enemy Bismarck and a Jean Bart comin round the corner with a Zao and Neptune in tow... Now what is the proper play OP suggests for me here? Sail forward and try a kamikaze torp run until they overmatch me to death? Stop dead and sail backward until they overmatch me to death? Rage quit? I accept being limited here but I don t quite get what the counter move here is? What do I do apart from kiting away and for that I have to turn at one point to do so and will be showing my broadside at some point. With 16km range you CANNOT stay on the map border and snipe the whole match, besides the point of fast flanking cruiser should be to use that speed and you know - flank the enemy, no? So you will encounter an enemy fleet, including BBs and you dont always have the luxury of a dd spotting either, so what does the OP suggest? Never play cruiser? I mean it boils down to that basically, if every broadside is an automatic multicit it will be CV, BB and DD world...

IDK TBH i got quite frustrated with regrinding the IJN line and have stopped for the moment, I mean those AP DBs are just ridiculous, I simply cant get them to work for me, you shed a load of paper planes (often not even reaching the target, and yes I know how to dodge flak for the most part at least) but when you finally get into the run if there is even the slightest chance for the bomb to go to the water - it will, inevitably... And since RF are a meme of their own you are basically reduced to making 2 torp runs the whole match, its not unplayable but its so damn frustrating compared to all other lines I just find it pointless to bother...

Best way to get good results in current CV infested meta is not to play them, or to play ranked in tiers without CVs and CW only

Not THAT semi-AP the normal SAP such as some brit bbs have, its just an AP shell with short fuse, does not have any increased damage (might even reduce it) and/or max 10% on dds it can be a little lighter and faster in return

No, you wont, unless its one of those few bbs whose citadel is acctually hitable you can turn as much as you like there is basically 0 chance one salvo will take you out before you turn... Anyway for general discussion - IMO the base mechanic should be the armor and fuse speed based and thqt should determin the point at which shell detonates, IMO all BBs should have HE replaced with SAP for shooting cruisers and dds with shorter fuses and issue solved
