As for spotters - long cool downs and low HP of the spotters as well as short duration make them relatively scarce and of low value... Only few boats such as Lazo really profit from them heavily as the spotter can sit up and allow prolonged long range gunning for them...

In surface class vs surface class you can angle the damage away, you can use stealth, you ACTIVELY determine and execute the countermeasure and that countermeasure usually negates most or all of the damage, hence "Average Joe" based damage/defense relation when upped still remains similar as in a good player attacked by a good player will defend against it, here you have an automated defense system that in "spreadsheets" has to be beaten by an "Average Joe" to a certain level of damage they desire, however when you are attacked by the good player there is no option for you to really up the defense as its fully automated, the manual interventions (sectors) and skills seem to have little impact statistically... The only way to [edited] up the CVs life is to huddle up and even that basically only works T8 and upwards where ships have some real AA on them, and even then you wont stop him striking you if he really wants, I just pasted a Benham in the middle of a blob, I lost planes but he died, I got new planes later, they didnt get a new Benham... The problem is slingshot is an exploit that negates pretty much all AA and those that master it are basically beyond balance...

The difference is that in all those classes you deal damage to your attacker by firing back at him, in this a bot fires for you...

The reason CV balance is F-ed up is simple, El2aZeR is 100% right IMHO, they balance them by the "spreadsheet" and the majority of the sample are people that dont know what WASD keys are for when you fly the planes let alone what squad shortening means and executing any kind of slingshot is SF for them... Just remember all those BBs that DCP the first fire while under focus of 3 HE spamming cruisers and all those DDs that sail into the cap and smoke up in front of a Desmo and it all becomes clear, its the same people...

Same method works with Implacable and Furios and Hermes as well, OFC they have less planes and weaker hp pool on them but they will face less aa as well, acct I do belive that (silver) RN CV line is the easyest to handle and still have some impact, the torp planes are similar on all nations, the hvar are similar on all nations, the foavor comes mostly from the DB, US DBs are splash damage monsters and can start fires and blap dds BUT they are prone to get spent unless you do runs perfectly and even them you lose alot of them becouse they are vulnerable in the dive and you beed ti hand in there long time to get a proper hit rate... IJN DBs and their AP bombs are good in "sticking" damage but lower Hp pool and fact you often have to drop very late to actually hit stuff means you will lose shitloads of them... Meanwhile the RN ones while hit so strong qnd previse a tool just do a quick and easy flyby method

There is no such thing as a deathblob for Audatios m8 full hp upgraded carpet bombers 3+k hp per plane, you make a slingshot with first drop and dump next over the ship of your choice and dart out with the rest, repeat on the next blob member and then the next, you wont do all that much splash damage but suddenly half of their AA mounts dont shoot, then you come with the torpers...
