Before when friendly torps came my way I did everything I can to dodge, nowdays I asses if its better to eat feiendly torps or put yourself in a disadvantage vs the enemy, usually I let them hit me, let the inconsuderate little have his pink time, if he is punk already even better

@OP french BBs are not meant for heavy stationary bowtanking as you will get IFHE-ed to death every time due to 32mm everywhere, best option is to use them as flankers if situation allows that, if not then you can take up an area control position behind an island at mid ranges to the expected enemy, ofc if you dont ensure you can acctually shoot from there its pointless, good example of an effective spot is that first island of the chain on tear of the desert (where people usually park with balancegrads in cw) so you can cover both sides but still be in some cover yourself...

Well TBH besides CVs really busting up normal play for DDs (well pretty much for all classes really) and annoyance by high number of radar ships present, my biggest problem when playing DDs are dumb unsupportive teams that are incapable of anything other then stupid chat abuse while border sniping or tree hugging... I mean nobody expects of any sane person to bullrush 2-3 bbs in a cruiser or run down a smoke in a bb but come on ffs, staying 20km from the nearest enemy or beeing unable to shoot anything and beeing ok with 20-30k damage in a T10 ship while surviving till the end of the battle...

Ok here are more impressions... The bad: If you get a CV you are obviously, not that AA matters much at those tiers anyway apart from few exceptions but still... Thin belt, dont turn your broadside to ANYONE... You are not russian so HE will hurt... HP is appaling... Low range on main guns and no way to extend it... The good: Very good accuracy on main guns for a BB... Turns on a dime... Very tanky bow on...

Agree, but we all know they will, dont we... I mean who would shell out steel, coal, freexp or substantial cash (the cheapest T6 premium boat still costs as much as a very decent game on steam or origin if not more) for something he cannot use outside ops, coop or specific gamemodes... Hence the subs are bound to make it to the randoms and it will up everything, starting from te fact game engine seems to be overtaxed as it is with sub worlds added...
