IDK what the CV on your team did and OFC CVs are not meant to directly counter each other as in old days of RTS but so it happens I played a dual T6/T8 CV match yesterday in my Ark Royal and guess what all our DDs made it to the caps and capped them at that...

Just went ant tried it out - 10 min total playtime invested 280 points, you even get some decent cash from it if the ships are premiums... Btw fast cruisers work as well

Well I guess you can take out a fast DD, yolo in the first group of bots, torp ram or whatever to get some XP and move to the next... Same goes for random and coop not only scenarios ofc

I played a bit last few years but honestly IMHO its boring and/or frusteating and unless some really compelling reason arises i will pass it alltogether...

Yes and today it cant be allowed for that to happen (i know i know) its like you cant have a ship that is strong in one thing and weak on another it all has to be balanced agamst each other any you have to be able to effectively fight back no matter what combo of ships appears... And thats just bs, why should a CL have to be able to fight a BB 1on1 and win? Why should a CL be able to win against a CA for that matter? This includes things like Haragumo... Ships completely lost their natural combat roles its all just generic HE spam nowdays... Well remains to be seen if RM cruisers stirr things up a bit...

No, you cant... In mid tiers you really need to start dodging the flak as dead planes dont drop and hence do 0 damage... If you do some "cloud bouncing" you will lose half of your reserves for a single drop, maybe two and if you really blunder in it can easily get to 0 drops as all planes get deleted beforehand... Also ships get faster past T6 and more carefoul aim is needed esp for hitting dds, sure you will get SOME damage done even by blundering I guess but doing something like 10-20k in a full match in a T8 or T10 CV?

This, and then just play it occasinaly for a change of pace or to grind some mission you need cv for or its much easyer to do in...

I second this, having subclans does solve the social aspect to a degree but still having the option to actually have more players in a single clan would be nice maybe up to say 80-ish people

Point is cvs are just as realistic in game as unlimited torps on dds or 90-100% hitrate of AAA are sooo, not very much

And yet IRL a carrier strike group (typically 3 cvs) would launch something like 6 sqadrons (thats 10-12 planes) EACH in a timeframe of say 30-45 minutes that would come in 3-6 waves sooo good luck dodging... Hint: Yamato

This! Plus past T6 you kinnda need 2 brain cells to play cv and get results so the single cell organisms dont venture past that

What do you mean with "they didnt spawn?" If you fire torps and they hit something before they arm they do not explode and hence "vanish" but other then that there is no way they are fired without beeing in the water... Aside from Ashashio and Ashashio B whose DWT torps hit only capital ships (thats BBs and CVs) ALL other torps including the PanAsian DWT hit cruisers (panasian dwt do not hit dds) so there is NO WAY a torpedo goes "through" a cruiser, on some rare occasions it might look like that when the torp passes under the stern of a ship (look at the ship models in the current designer table port from all sides if its confusing and you will understand why this happens) but other then that only way to avoid damage for a cruiser is not to get hit

Dont know about sinking since that can be a time and rng limited thing but shokak or any other T8 can strike a JB 1on1 no problem esp if its battered at the battle end

This exactly, its not damage dealing as such, I ll adapt and find a way to deal some damage but the simple fact of the matter is - Ohios 18" AP SHS that are supposed to be (even WG description states so) the selling point - dont work, the kinetic energy retention of the shell speed through distance due to the larger mass should make her pen equally or more at range not less then a lighter shell with a faster muzzle velocity and the 16" guns work EXACTLY like you expect, these - do not...
