    True nobody is forced, and yet you can be annoyed by the system... There used to be 2 ways prizes were handed out in WOWS: 1. The grind (marathon, campaign, mission chain, whatever) as in you do x battles or citas or sunk ships or wins or something or other, and the prize is yours... 2. The roll - usually you do nothing special and it drops something of value (ie daily crates, pre acces boxes etc) or nothing Nowadays its this annoying grind fiesta that gives you some temp currency that you can use up to MAYBE get something of value usually after going ape from the grind...

    There are no CAs outside the italian line that have smoke... Not a single one

Yep if you have a set chance of rolling something and that is a relatively small number (few percent) and a finite number of items you get this, on paper at first glance its "muh but its all random" but when you think about it its really not anymore as not all outcomes are equally likekley in any given toss, ofc twards the end the chance increases due to the reducing number of possibilities but only in the last few, just as it shows...

    No it isnt bro, when you consider incidence of ALL outcomes you are right but when you aim at only one specific outcome that has a set chance its not... Lets say you have a set 5% chance to get a prize you want, you have a set 95% chance to get something else, and it will shift the number of tries you need to get that something and it will be applied to every toss Precisely, the drop chance skews the order and its obvious its a fix set chance for every toss as it leads to rear grouping and not a fully random preset order of items

    Oh yes it does... In this kind of a draw that has a set number of options and is done incrementaly it does... If the position of an object x is determined solely by the initial roll you get 1 in say 23 chance (a bit over 4%) to get it in any given place and the distribution will be equall in a large sample between all 23 places... If a chance to draw is applied to a roll every time you roll a new item it will shift the outcome twards the back as every time you roll chance to not get it is still much larger then the chance to get it in that roll untill you are down to last few options or are guaranteed to get it becouse its the only one left... And we only need to take a look at the genova thread to see that in action, which I guess answers the question whitch method WG uses...

    This besides if they decided not to contribute to the fight its better they go AFK in the back instead of yoloing and giving the red team 100 points advantage...

  19. Actually with some tweaks I wouldnt mind Belf going to T8 at all... I did/do mind GC going to T6 though its too fragile to really cut it there and no amount of deck and extremities tweaking will make it able to face an ncal or vlad or massa...
  20. Yeah couse the ticking cap clearly does nothing in indicatung where he might be... At least if he has fighters overhead the red cv wont be able to loiter overhead untill he finds him...

    Or they could you know just make good maps and rework the bad ones untill they are good, as they are already doing anyways, ofc sometimes they succede better and sometimes not so much but they are trying...
  22. Not quite... 1. Ashas doesnt hit CCs or any other cruiser or dd class this would it would just be harder to do it then a big clumsy (stationary) target 2. Inertially guided missile with say 20-40k HP per going 900-1300km/h is a lot different then a DWT to aim and hit 3. It doesnt run the risk of clipping an ally if fired from 15km away They clould be balanced via reload same as torps making it as long as needed, I mean in general I dont think missiles would be good for the game as such but after CV rework and now the subs IDK if this would make any big difference anymore...
  23. Well when you think of all that was done in the last year they could just as well introduce them as DD(G) with inertialy guided AShM (BBs, big CCs and CVs are prime targets for those) with big damage and slow reload mounted instead of torp launchers and radar guided SAMs as AAA

Well actually the spotter plane could use a rework, make it go out farther, fly faster, opt for having 2-3 or 4 of them in the air simultaniously via capt skills or modules and make them reload way way faster, if they are worried about the prolonged range extension that can be removed as a feature as currently apart from lazo in an average fight you will be able to deploy it like 2 times, 3 tops so its nigh usless as a feature... So there is a degree of spotting possible even when DDs are dead and no CV is present
