Meaning that the said team is bunch of useless potatoes since that BB with its 80-100k damage most of which would have been against other BBs and maybe some cruisers without capping or defending got so much base XP to come in top 3, maybe that match would have been a win had the useless bunch of campers actually moved out from behind that island to do something... -

Well if you really want to go full bonanza sec on German BBs get Lutiens go with PM+EL-EM-BFT-AFT/MCSAA/IFHE however this build is extremely fire sensitive- 70 replies

Lol m8 they tested Slava nearly a year ago and still no word about it, Indomitable was out of scope for a year as well before release, they will come around just in their time...

In all honesty BBs will likely profit less then spammer cruisers (they will to a degree OFC) as the said can actually do a torpedobeat in that time unlike most BBs well at least those in higher tiers, mid and low tier ones that have decent handling might profit more

Its happening occasionally for some time now, cant really remember when it started but its much older then last pacth as I remember people posting similar pics on forum and I had it few times as well, usually gos away if you restart game, once I had to run check and repair IIRC as the game wouldnt load to port untill I did... -

I dont have Georgia for a long time but I do have experience with similar high speed ships as well as with Ohio that wields the same guns, IMHO Georgia is one of those ships that provide tremendous advantage to the team when played right by flanking and providing crossfires, hovewer they are completely dependant on two things coming together to be able to succede one under your control - picking the right position to go to and path to get there and the other one - your team picking up on your manouver, give te needed support and follow through with the push, and herein lies the issue, playerbase in randoms is getting so bad yoi cant even rely on them to be a distraction for the enemy as 9/10 matches end up as just a mix of yolos and lemmingtrains and only thing changing is on which side you end up and whose potatos die off faster...

@OP German BBs acctually recently got buff to the main guns and they are quite nice to play overall these days as they have top secondaries AND usable main battery... Few things 1. IDK what build you use for the captains on those ships but i suggest you include the Expert Loader skill in them so you can switch ammo types faster (half time) when the guns are loaded with the ammo that is wrong for the shot... 2. You should be familiar with AP shell overmatch mechanic and thresholds as well as armor thickness on various parts of ships on tiers you will play, its not needed to know EVERY ship as most follow in class standards for different parts, when you encounter a ship you had particularly bad results shooting (overpens, shatters) look it up to see if it has some specific armor reinforcements that caused this 3. Playing german BB as snipers is still a waste of potential IMO, in general you should build them at least for secondary range as you can have at least some mileage from those nice secondaries BUT for starters I suggest you use a tank build until you train up a bit and stay mid ranges, Flamu has good builds for BBs in general something like: PT or PM -> EM -> SI -> FP -> CE -> AR -> EL -> JOAT or HA those work quite well and offer some extras in most situations 4. Learn how to get most out of your salvos, you wait for half a minute for those guns to reload (ok a bit less with some modules and AR kicking in) so make them shells count, look for targets that are about to present you the best shooting option (usually broadside) and make a proper lead adjustment to max the number of hits, proper target selection and some applied patience about it is the bread and butter of play in this game especially in Randoms and double true for BBs 5. When there are no good targets for your AP (broadsides) dont be shy to fire HE shells, they pen up to 1/6 of their caliber and HE shells fired form a battleship gun will do some damage to most ships upon impact (they do shatter at very thick armor such as main belts and turret faces) and can cause fires that rack up free damage Do these and with some aiming practice I am confident you will be braking the triple digits in no time

There is no torpedo rework, there is the spotting mechanic rework or more to the point new spotting option, seeing fish 2.something or even worse 1.8 km away doesnt necessarily mean your target will be able to evade them...

@MrWastee yes german hydro with vigilance gives you option to spot Ashas fish in time, all other ships that dont have hydro are a different story alltogether and IRC the hydro (that has something like 3-3.5km spot distance for torps which is still more then this passive skill combo) alone was not enough to reliably dodge Ashash fish in tests CCs did with them investing 3 cap points and a slot 5 module for chance to dodge say 1 in 3 fish more then without them is dodgy at best and hardly a noob savior stuff, noobs will get plastered one way or the other -

Well in all honests nobody from WG forces people to abuse broken ships (smol for instance) and mechanics (slingshot for instance) over and over again, or to sealclub with T4 CV to statpad etc... Its like you would accuse the bank management for beeing at fault for the robbery instead of the robbers becouse they didnt put enough security in the building, just imagine the court letting the robbers go for saying "oh we had an opportunity so we took it, its their fault for not having more guards around" -

Ok with some torps stating this is hardly true as their spotting range is so low there is no option of evading them unless you are alrady almost in position to torpedoneat their spread anyway, its even questionalble if this module will be enough to dodge the higher tiered fast DWT as per spot, and oh muh "adapt and overcome" by random turns stuff will only take you so far esp since its not always possible to turn at all -
I noticed that this (once awailable at the minimap menu) oprion is gone as well but as it seems to be "stuck on" and I always kept it on didnt think much of it, seems they made it petmant at some previous patch?

I mean I get its not exactly Ogni clone with Hydro and DWT in purest sense, but it is one more or less, which in itself isnt so bad as I always kinda liked Ogni, I get that torps might end up "challenged" and thats something that will hit us all soon and will have to be dealt with globally at some point, what bugs me is "added value" of the ship, I mean - any kind of competitive play (place for a team oriented dd) seems to only run on T10 these days, in randoms - why gimp yourself bringing a T8 when you can get a T9/10 DD as you will have most of your matches in 8-10 bracket... I saw the (p)review Flamu made and am sure its a decent enough of a boat, but is it worth the cost?

Agreed, likely its more sensible to go for french and paneuro lines at this time, and maybe the 8km shima fish as their speed makes them nearly impossible to dodge even when you see them

They wont do anything to DWT themselves, what they do (sheduled for the next patch AFAIK) is rework the ship upgrades and (IIRC) that (so far pretty usless next to CSM) Target aquisition modification in slot 5 gets the addition of making ALL torps detectable at a fixed distance of 1.8 (IIRC) km and even worse it stacks with Vigilance captain skill, meaning you get ALL torps wisible as far out as 2.3km or so...
