    Now there is a world of difference between him hitting with EVERY shell and simply just hitting you A LOT as the latter is quite normal for a Mino firing from smoke esp if you used continuous fire and former would be VERY strange indeed as its nigh impossible to land ALL shots on target in this game even when target is very close and spotted due to RNG... How many shells from each salvo (roughly) hit you and from what distance? Did every salvo hit or did he have some missing?

  3. You know I placed a bet with myself what your main class is and hey presto - DD main... You do realise most people can guess what another guys main class is by just looking what he singled out as the main issue... This really is "Pls nerf rock, paper is fine, with regards - scissors" situation, aside from the fact CVs are not unbalanced but broken to the core let me ask you - how would you counter yourself without a radar cruiser or a CV? Answer is only with another DD, ergo soon we would all be playing DDs and only DDs See the problem?

Ah comrade thats why the secret is never to trust the average potato to do anything useful to help you and stand a bit back (now I mean a bit as A BIT and NOT line 10) and make sure you blap anything in range for as much HP as you can while using your potatoes as meat shields, also you ignore the "random pinging speshul admirals" and do what you think is to be done...

  6. Exactly the roflstomp due to border surfing meta is upedto the max in this, sometimes one strong BB that leads 2-3 ships to center early can decide match in 5 min flat
  7. Not really, in sprints its rather irrelevant as they are short and people rank out 2 quickly

  10. True but I see no way to do it... Increasing the manouverability of a DD permanently to a level it would need to reliably dodge CV strikes would basicly render it immune to incoming fire at any but knifefight ranes as your shell flight time at 10km is already much longer then rockets or bombs from a strike Increasing deck armor to level that would make them shatter the CV ordnance (such as it stands) would again make them laregely immune to surface ship fire Increasing HP pool to say CA levels would again make them to hard to kill and would enable yolo rushes of unprecedented level It might be possible to selectively cut the damage done by CV ordnance to a DD similar to BB AP "overpen cap" but would it truly make sense to untroduce another "exeption mechanic" that pretends to DDs only? Besides they would still die only in 6 or 7 strikes instead of 2 or 3 strikes IDK

Subs (such as they are now) will just add another layer of broken, lets not forget its another class basically removed from normal player vs player interaction as when submerged your only weapon against them is depth charges that are semi-automated and laregly RNG dependant from surface ships POV and that is even without going into the fact only DDs and CLs carry them in the first place... But the camping is NOT punished, actually its more important then ever as you need not only to camp but to camp in GROUPS, moving ship in comparison to a stationary is marginally more difficult to hit with bombs, equally hitabble with rockets and actually (for the most part) even easyier to hit with torps as your movement in next few seconds is easy to predict due to inertia, apart from few DDs no surface ship can even hope to dodge a torp strike, you can mitigate damage from a CV a bit and thats all, your only defence is blobing up so you "deplain" the CV but in 7 vs 7 he only needs to kill one or two ships and its over ans all T10 CVs have more then enough planes for that Stalin actually has a pretty mediocre AA overall and for T10 ship you could even call it crap, Stalin by itself has no way of preventing the annihilating strike from say Haku, even I can do it easily and I am realky crap in CVs...

Well DDs in CB were always primarily spotting tool and the ocaisonall torp hit was a welcome bonus as any time you got spottes usually meant you are either dead or well on your way so apart from some ambushes around islands most of the time it was long range spotting, its not unexpected they were largely pushed out by cvs as losing a plane or two for spot doesnt weaken the team or cost points while losing a dd that is usually the only spotter anyways does...

  14. There is simply no means to make a DD immune to CV by passive stats without making them completely broken OP against other ships nor should that be the goal
  15. Well you cant be immune vs a class even if its CV, if DFAA would be say +300% base AA, -60% rudder shift, -80% sector prep with additional 200% sector boost but cost you say 1/3 max speed and +100% on main guns and torp reload while active it might be a different story

  17. Problem of making DDs more manouverable is balancing them against each other... Maybe an option would be to change DFAA consumable in a way to counter planes better with more AA damage and much better manouveranility while active BUT as tradeoff while active the main guns and torpsare less effective so it cant be abused in dd vs dd combat as readily, same for cruisers ofc

It is compatible, you can make a ship appealing and balanced at the sams time, you just make it strong in other areas, if the premium ships foe instance had 300% permanent income bonus (instead of 50%) permanent double first battle of the day bonus (twice as much as any silver ship at that time including in events) maybe a small coal bounty as first match (say 100 coal for first win or similar) and/or real freexp multiplier (for instance 300% or so) they would be VERY appealing to buy and play even if balanced or even slightly weaker then tree ships

    Ok just got disconnected TWICE in the same battle, first time I coudlnt get back for minutes, second time at least was able to reconnect soon afterwards, I was in Kaga and OFC we lost since the CV was out of battle for 1o minutes... It was shown time and time again where the proglem lies WG FIX THE DAMN ISP you are using or CHANGE IT

    EZ its quenching in hot oil when the steel is just about to go cherry red and if its a sword lay a thick layer of clay down the spine of the blade before heating

    Agreed, if new to game/cvs he should play at least 100 games with a CV of choice line in T6 ops to get a feeling for dropping mechanic in general and then some 100 games in randoms to learn basics of AA evasion as he is not likely to learn that in T4 or ops but after that there is little use of lingering there IMHO
