Naah Odin aint a brawling BB, its literally just a T8 version of Sharnhorst, secs are there just for a little pew pew bonus fun every blue moon, unless we get back some T8 ops in the future I dont see them being of much use if any at all...

Exactly, actually they should have given the german ships "stalinium shells" as they are the ones with garbage HE damage AND garbage dispersion, you should at least be able to f* do some damage when you finally hit something

True True BUT I can grind a T7 in like a week without much of special resources and belive me Sinop for instance is more then enough to wreck some serious havoc

HP matter, armor matters even more, guns however are a different thing, with a Tirp you will wreck when top tier due to overmatch, Odin, not so much

You are cherry picking an example to suit your argument, that as if you would say - here look at Stalingrad and compare it to KGV, conclusion - cruisers are far better suited to push and tank damage then BBs are, you really think that? As for answer to your question - yes and yes, as in yes the Khaba should spot (in its own way) for the team and should cap when it can be done (later in the game or in cover) and Conqueror should and in fact can tank damage again in its own way, OFC you wont drive it mid cap like Kremlin and let the entire flank shoot you for 10 minutes straight -

No, no I responded to MrConway not Flambass and I assumed F2P, now IDK how much cash you get nowadays by that "account levels unlocking" stuff so I might be off but without premium time and/or ship it takes a while to grind out 20 mil you need to get a T10 let alone another 7 mil for the modules, lets not forget you need to buy the T9 and T8 and all below as well, ok you can sell them which makes it faster but assuming you like the line (which should be a given if its your first choice) you will want to keep those ships so its grind from scratch... Even the not so good DDs are far better at the spotting role then any cruiser or BB are... -
Yup, they made the German BBs main guns weaker as they are supposed to be complemented by the secondaries, on paper those ships look like a good concept - turtleback armor + good surface plating + secondaries and its balanced by poor-er main guns BUT in reality it just doesnt work out that way... In low/mid tiers where you actually might make use of those secondaries to a degree - they dont have enough range to actually use them more often then very occasionally (we are talking randoms here not 1on1 rakned sprints and such) and in high tiers its really ridiculous to even think of building around them as you will be incinerated, maybe you can pull some of that off in a division play but in solo randoms you will just be put on fire again and again until you burn to death... Only way to play them without getting killed with 20k damage done is stay at range and due to the way shells behave doing that in a german BB is pointles - better take a french or british or us ship for that... They might make those builds/ships more viable if they give them Ohio style of short resetting HP OR Russian style of short resetting DCP so you dont get burned down in one minute but I doubt we ll ever see that...

It takes a new player that is focused on one line or tree (i guess most go one nation they favor at the start) probably about 60-70 games to reach his first T6 and assuming he/she does not have premium access or a ship it takes them like 800-1000 battles to farm the cash needed for the T10, IDK how much cash you get from the starting account campaign nowadays, if they go with premium stuff it changes radically though, might be less if you still get few dozen millions during the account unlocking -

The issue is not lack of experience as such (although it does contribute to it ofc) but the utter lack of teamplay or even fullfilling your ships role (BBs that do not push, DDs and CVs that refuse to spot anything, cruisers that farm an easy BB instead of helping their DD in a knife fight right next to them) and this is not just player factor either, just look at this weeks directive missions, ie - farm 500 hits in a single game, now lets think about this for a moment, not only is there only a handful of ships in the game that can actually be expected to be able to dispense the amount of munitions needed for that feat AND the fact most of them are either high tier, premium or both but also that this can take like 100 matches for it to happen "by accident", no realistically - you have to work on that AND ONLY that, ie - position at a spot to farm BBs and "let er rip" disregarding any team play for it... -

You dont understand my point m8, the point is not that german BBs are worthless its that for the way you have to play them to actually have decent results there are better lines to do so, far better lines

IMO these are more of support DDs, solo carry potential is not really great for them, esp Halland in comparisno to say Kleber or similar DD

I honestly cant belive this is how it was intended, who in their right mind would buy starter pack then, ok you get a little bit of discunt if you are "buying out" at day one and thats it, the point of starter pack is moot

Funny enough chance of anyone coming top of a loser team driving Belfast (or any other radar cruiser for that matter) is rather slim, if you want to play for the win (which you kinda go for if you choose a radar ship) you need to come close to the cap so you can radar and kill teir dds, ergo you will likely be either first to die or maybe the second one once the BeeingBackline "speshulist" denys any kind of support and the enemy ships roll over your position...

Exactly, I wouldnt even mind it so much if he saw its going southwards couse we are down 2 ships and a cap or so - ok, its fair enough, but the guy enterinf the battle intending to not play for win at all "because reasons" (his MMM said team wont win, the team dosent go where he thinks they shoud or whatnot) and dooms the team to the loss in the very MM (beeing put with you) and as a reward he gets to save the star because he was the last one alive so he could farm the damage for longest... Its really hard to take any "rank" you get from that kind of mode seriously

You cant have a statistic of something like that but you can observe the matches you are in and why the lost ones were lost, I am pretry sure after 10+ seasons you will end up with the same conclusion...

No it doesnt, you see when you CARRIED the win you get more, when you lost you lost in this system you get "imunity" if you carried the loss and I do mean this in the litteral sence since in like 7 out of 10 ranked matches ending up as a loss the guy saving the star is the direct reason of the loss

WG f* up the very concept of Ranked... I get thy promote the notion of WOWS beeing a TEAM game and success beeing based on TEAM EFFORT and not individual performance BUT only mode that has that kind of scoring system is CB in which all members get the same amount of base xp and cash depending if its a win or a loss, now they want to put in the "individual" measurment stick in Ranked so we have a "normal" (from randoms) base xp and cash awarding system BUT the progression/position is still completely team reliant as in - you win you get a star, you lose and you lose a star, now they add the option to "save star" upon loss and the stage is complete... The saving star mechanic is the single dumbest most toxic generating thing I can possibly imagine to be implemented in a game mode, like who didnt expect that EVERY time the meta will evolve around this and best proof are syncdropping clans that give the ram/broadside to their mates in the end so they can save it... THIS HAS TO GO! Either its a team oriented/dependent thing and you advance/fall with the rest of your team and if more stars are needed in syastem they can give say two to top 1, 2 or 3 players (depending on team size in.the given season) on the winning team or its not and just give us dueling for ranked so we can sort things out 1on1, other option would be ranking based upon average base xp and the prizes are handed out at the season end so you end up where you end up, couse this what we have has nothing to do with rsnking your skill, and yes better players will need fewer matches to rank since they know how to work system better and carry more games but overall its an exercise in patience nothing more

Well should this be the case I will just grind out what I can and see where that leaves me (which shoud be somewhere between 3500 and 7000 aditional cost)
