It is, it depends if you want to go for more hits with less pen and alpha (essentially cruiser killing setup) and mid range with only occasional brawl as such OR you want more pen and alpha but since there are fewer shells you will need to go in close to make them count and hence probably more often end up in a BB vs BB fights...

Well, its an easy decision, you just need to ask yourself which ships guns do you like better - Sharnhorst or Gneisenau and thats really it... I doubt that if not RB she will be steel

This Ranking system in this game has very little in common with ranking anything except how many times you can press battle

Probably the most sensible approach, when you look at the 8k gold its about the cost of a T6 BB, T7 cruiser or a T8 DD and when you throw in the 25% coupon we will all get soon and realise one can actually get a full fledged T8 BB from arsenal for the same amount of gold and 0 grinding involved... When one draws the underscore if one buys the starter pack for 8k the entire grind ie max you get for that for extra 4500 gold you pay is what 1500? steel and thats if you are able to actually finish every stage mission remaining on time... IDK if about 3 ranks worth of steel are worth a month long grind and 4500 gold

Oh they are doing that for quite some time, I was quite taken by that as well up to not so long ago but recently it sort of lost hold over me and I find it more and more easy to just pass up similar stuff...

Honestly IDK, before the nerfs I was quite enthusiastic about her, even after they took off the HP I was still kinda - ehh, maybe... But now TBH IJDK, I was thinking of going for the starter pack originally (no way I am spitting out 30k on day one or similar nonsense) and I do have the gold at hand, however - I am not so sure the actual missions progress will be that easy, I have a sneaking suspicion it will end up as being another epic grind or even nigh impossible to do and will turn out to be another huge sunken cost fallacy situation in like you already spent 8k gold, cmon spend a little more to finish in time / finish sooner and THB I am sort of growing tired of this BS, well at least its not gambling I guess...

Not being able to comment specific situation and although are likely just salt I do have to tell you that his comment might be valid as well, farming damage from safety instead of pushing at the moment the scales should have been tipped for instance by deleting a radar cruiser can be a reason team loses, achievements you listed mean nothing as such since they only testify you can hit a target and manage DCP, it says nothing about your overall tactics being adequate in that match

@Crysantos assuming CVs are here to stay as such in CB (unless a season happens to be an odd tiered one) and fact the framework we have implemented in game probably wont allow for specific ship exclusion (as in only 2 venezias or similar) my suggestion would be thus... For odd tier seasons 2 BBs, 3 CAs and 2 DDs slots For even tiered ones 1CV, 2BB, 2 CA and 2DD slots And its obligatory slots not CA or DD but as they are... This would make sure a team has to choose between a cruiser that has more utility vs one with more specialised role, also with 2 BBs Venezia and likes would have a much harder time dominating long range since many a BB can either tank her or catch up with her and that discussion wont end well for her...

OFC not I wouldnt either although since we do get a 20-30% main gun hitrate with main guns in this game as it stands consequently a 50% or even 80% hitrate with missiles wouldnt be unbalancable vs conventional artillery neraly as much as it is IRL

This... @OP I reached R8 and will likely call it a day for this season, maybe I venture there a bit more to re-grind my DDs in last couple of days the seaon runs but doubtful TBH, I just dont stress about that BS anymore as the ranking system in this game has absolutely nothing to do with ranking individual performance as such and I am not eyballing any steel ship at the moment either
