It doesnt stay locked, unfortunatley as that would be a nice workaround but when you are in feeecam mode you are basically locked on bearing with your guns

Not unles you have target lock, the lock gives you the proper gun barrel elevation

A lock on and lock off part should be the same, you cant have guns adjusting for lock take 3-4 s and if target drops off shells instantly go into the island...

No offence m8 (trust me I do understand completely and often feel exactly the same) but the overall tone suggests you are likely to have vented (official term for explaining the utter stu** of their actions to random "team" mates) and got yourself a chat ban... My suggestion is to just vent privately by cursing or whatever you need and leave out the chat part, WG cant have you flinging the naughty words at mamas speshul boys now can they after all its the easy part to police, you can take it quite like the traffic police doing a speed trap instead of finding and sorting out bkack spots in the road, sn easily documentable offence for which you can hand out some tickets and job done... Emm it doesnt really matter m8 I can kill a Gneis with Ruyo, Shokak, Haku or Enterprise with same ease, it will cost me a plane or two more per run on Ruyo then would on Shokak and maybe an additionall run but in principle its the same and Big-E just doesnt give a damn about Gneise AA or deck armor... Or any other T7 BBs for that matter

Yes in essence its basically a slightly different take on german "brawly BB" combat wise she is to Tirp what Sharn is to Gneise, I actuqlly donr fire that much HE from them unless its a bow on situation or I just have to start some fires, I try to prey on broadsides and the 305 are quite effective vs cruisers and even BBs at closer ranges... Economy wise she is as any other T8 premium BB, you get cash depending on damage, you have a 1mil creds sshot on page 7 i posted i think that was with zulu and wywern

Well for Sharn in litteral sence doesnt really differ is it T8 or T9 or even T10 game you will be at a great disarcantage due to overmatch issues even with the icebraker and turtleback... Odin does carry 32 mm extremities after all and that does mitigate it somewhat, I dont really see much of a difference between her and other sec focused BBs they are all circumstantial, you will either use the secs when apropriate making them somewhat well seconary meaning you will get mediocre results most of the time or if you overextend you will die

IMO yes she is worth 3500 gold no doubt about it, esp if you either like Sharnhorst style of play or german BBs in general or if you dont have any and dont want to grind the line but want one for occasional missions

Well you know you dont always have the luxury of aligning for the side you will approach something, there are those things called islands, I know its a travesty... Besides yes I do know and I played few battles in each of the subs and dozens in other ships and I am not pulling this statement out of my a** btw she can dive under torps even easier then under gunfire although that is one off the ways to deal with surfacing issue while divebombing

Yeah its good for grinding I went through Hatchuharu, Farragut, Dallas, Pensacola, Gaede, La Gallisoniere, Trento and now soon Ruyo dont know if I have enough time for more then that although I did unlock and buy Fuso today so maybe I manage to go through her as well, IDK til when this thing lasts...

m8, I we been regrinding IJN CVs and stil have few battles to go so I dont have to spend free xp after that I think I am shelving CVs at least a week or so...

There better be couse current implementation is utterly broken... I mean the entire concept is broken but we all know that wont stop it from making it into randoms sooner or later... For instance the air spotting is so low even for a surfaced sub you simply cannot target her with rocket planes and if you come in already in attack mode you cant turn enough hence its just not possible to aim at it and hence you cant decap a base unless you have a permanent spotting... Also the safe depth of 6 m has to go at least in current form, sub can just hover around it when a DD is approaching and you cant use depth charges on it, it just "surfaces" (being immune to depth charges above 5.9 m) and plants you 2-4 torps in the face while you are literally helpless to retaliate with more then a shell or two in return before dying and DDs are supposed to be the prime hard counter... Yeeesss right.... We better dont even mention what happens to a cruiser in that situation as a DD can sometimes at least dodge the salvo cruiser however usually cannot... Also the spotting mechanic is utterly broken as a sub can spot you while underwater for several km even without hydro and even if you are in a smoke, in the meanwhile you need to sail directly overhead to drop the depth charges and avoid getting torped by it, naturally their entire team unloads on you as soon as you start to approach the position to fire, even bots can snuff a DD out in few seconds, if you dont go for the sub only other option (including a DD if she is escorted) is running away and praying you make it out of spotting range before you are annihilated as lingering withing few km guarantees a homing torpedo strike sooner or later... Also capital ships having no counter to submerged subs is well shall we say an "interesting" choice since it makes like 1/3 of the ships in the game and usually 1/2 of the ships in an average Random team a "speshul choice" and "muh play as a team and keep your DDs/CLs alive" is a moot point as you cannot stop them going forward and besides they need to spot and cap so they will get killed at which point the match is a close aproximation of a T4 CV infestd match only the torps are of the instakill and not a pecking to death variety...

I dont think so, I expect another test iteration with "tweaked" mechanics late summer or early fall, probably for T8 allowing for additional assessment of mechanics themselves as well as initial balance for T8 boats so they can be in early access either in time for anniversary celebrations or christmas campaign...

Stats of any person should not be a main argument in a discussion, I never said they should, however they should not be tabu either especially if they contribute to the understanding from where some comment or stance is coming from AND its double the case for disproving someone is simply lying in a discussion about his/her performance given certain vessel, build or tactic, claiming "political correctness" in the way you are presenting them is the determining factor about them being inside or outside the rules is nonsensical and hypocritical, either they tell a certain story or they dont and the story doesnt change because you were more or less polite in presenting it... Also there is option for making your stats private and in fact invisible to others by any normal means, those that are unable to take scrutiny on their performance should not keep them public
