I dont think they actually spent any time on this whatsoever, looking how this looks like this HAD to be the April fools event we didnt really have this year (I mean not that anybody bought that "randomizing the ship spawn" gar*bage is truly what they planned) and they just postponed it, relabeled as Haloween event and put it in instead of true Haloween content... Now I am not saying its necessarily intentional that might simply be lockdown and pandemic fallout BUT as the premium ships and sub gar*abe dept seem to be going strong well...

WG needs to stop staking the odds, a "random lootbox" should be exactly that - random, RNG spits out an integer between 1 and x where the x is the number of types of prizes that can be dropped and each is assigned to one of them, you get what you get from the roll and thats it, chance for any given outcome/prize is easy to calculate and thats that take it or leave it... -

Judging by the previous similar statements from WG in similar circumstances I would rather say it was either 2 popular or they found something they deem as "players cheating the system" (read - reducing the projected profits WG marketing expected from them) and thats the reason to remove it, I simply dont understand why something like this would bother WG if "unpopular", I mean I get it if its a ship - they spent time developing it and they want it represented in game but option to convert resources? Fishy... -
Well they might replace the engine debuff with1% of total HP per s damage tick that gets reversed once you leave the border at the same rate... But they wont, WG loves having some r***ded exploits in game and call it LTP...

Just another "we dont give a FF about consistency or what we are actually doing" event, utter let down, I am really pulling my stakes from the pot now, not (just) because of the "Halloween" stuff (that has nothing to do with Halloween theme whatsoever) but overall utter careless greed they are pushing of late, I did my share of addict/habit buying (not proud of it) even as recent as this last cycle but no more, really, I might spend some petty cash for Christmas IF and only if its transparent and worthwhile otherwise really not, I am not doing any more early access junk or anything similar as long as they are behaving like they are now... Just for example - removing the unlimited premium ship restoration option is just utter corporate pettiness...

They do fort some but for instance only for the first 3 or 4 dailies after that they stop counting, also seems they are not giving any actual XP so you dont progress through the daily containers at all...

They in general (ships have individual modifiers and they are not public AFAIK so some small differences might occur) earn the same and repair costs are half the price of a silver ship

I dont mind the slow speed as she is nimble, i dont mind the long reload although the DP is less then the Ncal (theoretical AP DPM Ncal-238 800 vs Kanzas-212 400) but I cant imagine the reason why this ship had to be nerfed to ground with horrible shells and 1.5 sigma since her damage output is nothign special anyway and she is slow and a tinderbox... Utter BS you wait for 40s try to compensate for slow shells and when you finally hit - you do nothing... Tried Minnesota one final time today (she is just as bad) and TBH I dont want to play it anymore, I might FreeXP the Vermont IF she turns up to be good and I am selling this two turds as soon as I can

There is nothing confusing about calculation... Base XP x XP bonuses = Total XP per match Total XP per match x0.05 x FreeXP bonuses = Total FREE XP per match

The issue is it is not possible to balance because of different layers... Subs main weapon (torps) ascends from the submerged layer and hits a surface target, in the meanwhile NONE of the surface ships main weapons (guns, torps, even planes) that the surface ships are balanced around can reach the sub, instead the special ASW mechanic is needed, thats like saying - ok BBs get to hit all DDs only with secondaries and cant fire main guns on them... See the issue? No matter how good your secondaries are DDs concealment and torpedoes will WIN EVERY TIME because its player controlled weapon vs a tick mechanic... Subs are (same as CVs) another "superclass" a class that is supposed to be removed from the rock/paper/scissors design that is the core of the surface ship balancing (despite the occasional hickup its still more or less in tact) a class that is equally good (or bad) against all others and even if its not any ones hard counter it also does not have one either... This decisions is purely based on WG inability to draw new players and keep the old ones without constant content bloating and reason for that is inherent unbalance, power creep, national biases and less then desirable monetisation policies that we have of late, WG simply clutches to straws and is raffling through different feedback trying anything they can to grow the playerbase without having to admit their mistakes and fixing them...

Well lets hope those new customers like sinking bots because if old customers go away and new customers want subs by extension that will me what they will be playing against as they themselves will be in subs and nobody will be in surface ships...
