Making something easier does not equal buying for cash, buying say 500 premium crates that contain some coal to buy Thunderer outright - that is skipping the grind with money, buying premium access or a booster to get some grind done faster is not, you still have to put in the elbow grease, just less of it... In short there is no way to buy the stars, you can buy the Strasbourg directly OFC but that is an entirely different story...

What of it is that 20k yards was considered a quite acceptable distance to open up, at about that range RN BBs of the late WW1 and interwar era scored about 5% hits and at 15k yards that went up to 10+ percent or rougly one hit per salvo, later radar plotted rangefinders were even better, also beae in mind that the ships in game are actually bigger (3x IIRC) then in reality and you can reach a conclusion that the gunnery stuff in WOWS is actually statistically pretty close...

Its yet another ship line that shows how far devs are out of touch with actuall meta on the live servers, also its obvious they are running out of ideas for lines and implement them solely for grinding purposes as game stands now, what I deduce from those for long run though is - its inevitable we will see subs within a year or so, these are likely to be "support dds" with AAA and ASW role and we might see an increase in the random team sizes up to 15-18 ships per side to allow slots for these new ships...

And imagine killing 4 enemies, doing 200k damage, tanking 2.5 million, dying at the 7 vs 3 moment with 700 vs 200 lead and watching the loss happen after that...

It was to be expected really, WG made the "leagues" but since thes didnt change the scoring system (who gains, keeps and loses a star) expecting a substantial change is silly, yes in time (and only if you can drop down a league for losing 2 many times/stars) there might be some real stratification of players but for now there is not, besides even should that happen it will take ages for it to happen, the scoring system in wows ranked is flawed in the very core and that generates this...
