    No, in the Current form they dont fit the game and WG doesn’t really have a clue how to fix it so its a no overall

    Mkay It addresses the coop issues of bots nobody can shoot couse they are lingering at the max depth and they reduced the faceplanting potental vs charging DDs/CLs that go for the depthcharge run but the core issue - homing torps, they didnt ameliorate, quite the contrary subs can now use them with even more impunity...

Dude no offence but the homing torpedoes (which are here for a while and reek of a permanent feature) and modern submarines submerged speeds kinda show the tune, thats is so conceptually off there is no "space to negotiate tweaks" there as thats is basically late 60s tech right there as you needed integrated circuit electronics to make semi-active guided torpedoes which those subs in the game are, if we are doing that well lets see I want guided anti submarine missiles on my surface ships... The guided torpedoes negate the ONLY way to mitigate the damage from subs for surface ships and thats dodging to evade, with the ridiculous speeds they gave the torps and the subs nobody should have an issue to get into position and torp the target with normal torps, if they are finding the resulting damage and level of interaction inadequate they shouldnt play the class...

Exactly, they are running out of stuff to sell and this is just a half a**ed attempt to shoehorn a new class in the game with the sole purpose of scoring a “quick and easy buck” on it, additional bonus is the models are easier to make allowing an even greater flood of trees and premiums then we have now and since soon the powercreep of gimmicks will settle in it will end up where the sun doesn’t shine together with the entirety of the game…

Large point in this debate seems to be people believing some of us hate subs “on principle” which is prob not true in most cases (maybe few are IDK), I for instance love all things naval and subs inclusive in it, I played my share of various Silent Hunter iterations and likes through my 30y or so gaming, I am not even necesserily against subs in WOWS as such even though I think they wont add anything worthwhile to te game… The problem IMHO is that unless the very core interaction between classes is thoghroughly revamped together with many many ships stats, ie a complete redesign of the game is needed for them to make sence as an addition and since we all know WG will NOT do that I know it will end up a cra*show and THAT is the reason I dislike them…
  16. Which speaks how crap the game gets when one side can’t do damage to the other, for another reference I suggest a CV game in a BB with no AAA
  17. Dude you realise that if you can’t shoot main or sec guns at me in a DD I will sail next to you before dropping and no amount of zigzag or whatnot will help you evade the torpedoes? And outrunning the clock well that depends very much about what that DD is and how often he can start floods…
  18. The influence on competitive prob not much, but influence on your enjoyment of game when you see all your efforts go to waste is immense, after a while one just stops caring...

Maybe they would and maybe not, it depends how good they play now doesnt it, what this system brings in however that even with a +1 red player you are at a disadvantage and it is basically a guaranteed loss in a game where you get +2, +3 or +4 tomatoes as opposed to the enemy... For each such game one looses he/she needs (lets assume one wants good stats) to win 2 or 3 games to balance it out, and WG keeps wondering why nobody takes their games seriously as e-sports titles...

Dude let me invite you to a demonstration, you take any Hydro equipped BB and I will take a destroyer and we go in a training room to see how much you seeing those torps incoming will help you there, oh and ofc for fairness sake you are not allowed to shoot me with anything and I wont use the guns
  21. Yes you can, when ones WR drops to tomato levels he/she should play there until it rises
