Thats how the "chance" works, every time your shell hits a roll is performed if you start a fire or not with a 20% chance of it being yes, for 64 times you got NO result, f-it its RNG to the max yes

Prob the "random bundle" unless the legislation is written very carefully to include those as well, as with a random bundle there is always a finite number of rolls before your outcome is guaranteed unlike with a lootbox and since you can actually see the next one in line its not technically gambling at all...

Nothing much there, monetisation in nearly all F2P games works on frustration, you hook the player to the game by giving him easy going for a while, then they hit the brick wall doing 50 and the progression father up is nearly impossible using the free stuff dropping so people get frustrated, most uninstall but some open the wallet and then the sunk cost fallacy comes into play, if you can wrap the stuff they buy in the lootboxes for the extra profit even the better... Lootboxes themselves are pure gambling mechanic, give a little cash and then maybe you get the jackpot for a few quid, except very few ever do, free lootboxes serve to get those vulnerable hooked on gambling and those bought for cash are also sunk cost fallacy tie in...

Abstain Star saving should go as well as Safe ranks and safe leagues… IMHO Ranked Season should run continuously for x amount of time, you rise and drop with your performance, mission chains such as there are in place for CB can Handle dishing out whatever prizes WG deems fit for participating… Top 2-3 players (depending on the team size in that Season) on the winning team get 2* rest get 1* unless they are below 500 base XP in which case they dont get a star, Losers all lose a star

I dont remember we ever started at the rank we had? IIRC one started at the rank decided by the Number of stars one got for the previous Season but it was never more then R9 or so and one had to go from there?

@OP IFHE on US high tier DDs is IMHO waste of pointless, in general I take it on high output ships (for their tier) that can get past an important treshold with it they otherwise couldnt as the fast fire allows you to stack raw damage faster then relying on fires, if the DPM is low anyways (slower reload) and the fire chance is reasonable I tend to go for starting multiple fires… When DDs are concerned IIRC only few DDs tend to have Real plate (25+ mm) to pose a question for an US 127mm gun and for those I dont know if you really want to take them on in a Fletcher 1on1 in a gunfight anyways IFHE or not as they usually have way more HP then you do, IMHO better to go for torp build, if you want you can take that -10% reload when spotted to have a bit of a boost when caught with your pants down… Seattle is well squshy for her tier, its not really fun to play but if you are doing good in Cleveland you know how to manage her, slap on the reload module and dakka away… Iowa is fine with either module, -11% is a good choice if you play her at range and reload if you prefer to be closer Only WG devs can answer last 2 questions altgough since Alaska B is in game I very much doubt she wont be in Black Friday crates of some kind or another every year, now if you feel like gambling, well…
