Mhm, I am contemplating to get Naval Action game (age of sail ships) allegedly devs are pretty stubborn but after WG how bad can it be...

So we are seeing WG sort of consolidating the lines look and feel lately, what I was wondering about is - french BB line… Ie its this: <T8 we kinda have classical Dreadnought designs of various generations and then we arrive at the Richelieu that has an all forward design as the “one off” in the line, its actually not that intuitive esp since the other all forward designs are all premiums naimely Dunq, Strauss and Jean Bart… IMHO it would be much more intuitive to make the french line have Gascogne (or some other of her subvariant) as techtree T8, Richelieu as say freexp special ship at T8 and then based on JB hull model enlarged to some 120-130% of her size to bear say 2x4 430mm all forward, sec battery might remain the same or be made 3x3 8” guns (ie martel turrets c/p with armor adjusted accordingly) and made as a T10 freemium… That would give us a more logical techtree that has sort of more conventional layout BBs and all forward prem side-line… Oppinions?

TBH I usually dont play small gunned BBs anymore, no point in gimping yourself and overpens are not an issue if you overmatch the deck as you will just shoot them when angled and obliterate them...

WG knows the game is dying and is desperate to cash in while they can before the bubble bursts completely hence they are clamping down on the economy to force every bit of spending possible...

Coult it be any other way? I mean we gambled before as well but the house didn’t like the odds, now we can Watch the streams for 2-3 months to get 7 days premium…

JB will never be techtree and prob wont even return in near future if ever apart from her black version, would I like the Dunq-Strass-Rich-JB-something as techtree sure, hell yes but we wont see that happening as they are already premiums… Gascogne is a sub-class of Richelieu class or at least considered as such, IDK for sure but IIRC two of them were planned

Well the bigest possible pitfall I see here is that german shells are often quite fast so they might be easier to aim with then say Ohio for isntance but other then that IDK if she ll be that popular, maybe you are right though time will tell…

@OP TLDQ WG is stimulating people to go to high too fast, if they wanted people to actually learn stuff they would keep them locked in T4 and lower for those 200 or so battles ie graying out the T5+ ships and all the premiums until That’s played out, they would also include a learning campaign that would stimulate people to learn crucial skills and apply them, possibly even again barring their way higher then the T4 before its completed (one might get a special cap and a T5/6 premium ship crate as a reward or something) but again WG doesn’t want that, what WG wants is the noobs to get smashed as soon as possible so they get frustrated and start spending on the premium content higher up which is councidentally MUCH more expensive…

You might be right, well in that case I ll dust off my Clubson (21pt oveckin will go there), Dugay (21pt Aubornau will go there), Isokase (some of the special SE commanders will go there), Orion (21pt Dunkirk I guess) and IDK maybe one of the new KM BCs with 21pt Lutiens, also Gangut and that IJN prem BC aint bad either (can’t remember the name off hand) and ofc some CVs for extra welcome effect…

Well when Moskva was moved they did give her to everyone that had her unlocked even if not in port, I didnt have her in port at the time IIRC but got her nevertheless, do bear in mind - I did own and play her long before that...

OFC if you have say 300k on Tash and FDG ready when they are swapped you can unlock the new ships as soon as the respective patch hits, I might do the same actually or should I say something similar as both lines are currently reset so I will grind the xp for T10 and simply not unlock it until the swap
