Nope, thats not the problem with the spotting damage farming and spotting damage mechanics, something else is the cause of it being so difficult to farm, thats 1) the fact you only reliably get the damage if the enemy ship is spotted solely by your action of being there, if it fires and the gun bloom lights it up you can usually forget the spotting damage no matter how close you are since it just doesnt count and 2) most of the playerbase is incapable of hitting the spotted enemy anyhow

Because most of us that are capable of destinguishing that bug from “just rng” have replays disabled so our 200+ € per peice ssds dont waste their rewrite cycles on completely superfulous bs so we dont even have replays and even if we did and showed it with timestamp and all it wouldnt be even worked on couse WG loves some extra RNG doesnt it now?

Well I grinded my way through a normal Barbarian episodes 3-5 during weekend (and had some 24h on call shifts in the meanwhile, then I started a ladder character mace mastery whirlwind barb and am currently on e2 all in D2:R Oh you mean wows? Well look at it this way, one starts as a member of a flank, dds and faster bb(s) rush twards the cap, one tagges allong, a short firefight later the dds and fast bbs turned tail and are running twards the J line and WV44 is just around the circle between 1/2 and 1/3 map length down, enemy sub or dd permaspots it, hail of HE comes in fire, fire dcon fire, fire, fire, ping, ping, torps - port with 20k done… Fun and games in wows 2023
