Wij zijn [GEUS] Geuzen Warships Clan, opgericht in 2017, en een clan die vooral normaal wil blijven. Als Nederlandstalige funclan staat bij ons gezelligheid voorop en spelen we graag samen in divisions. Hoewel voornamelijk random battles gespeeld worden, spelen we ook divisies in ranked battles, clan battles, brawls, co-op, operations en tijdelijke event gamemodes. Als typische avond clan met leden die doordeweeks overdag op hun werk zitten, komt onze Discord in de loop van de avond pas tot leven. Algemene info Omdat fun en gezelligheid bij ons voorop staat, vinden we stats niet belangrijk, en proberen we ook onze regels te beperken tot de basis. Het belangrijkste wat we dan ook vragen van onze leden is dat als zij ‘s-avonds spelen, zij ook aanwezig zijn op Discord. Discord wordt vooral gebruikt om met elkaar te praten tijdens het spelen, maar ook om te chatten met elkaar, en zinnige (of juist onzinnige) dingen met elkaar te delen. Als je samen wilt spelen gaat dat natuurlijk met je headset op om met elkaar te praten, en we hechten er immens veel waarde aan dat nieuwe aanwinsten in deze clan hier het belang van inzien. De activiteit van nieuwe leden, zowel in de game zelf als op Discord, gedurende de eerste maand in de clan geeft ons dan ook een indruk of iemand bij GEUS past, en zorgt ervoor dat we elkaar leren kennen. Wij hanteren wel een minimumleeftijd van 25 jaar voor onze leden. Clan Battles Als funclan speelt GEUS ook clan battles. Deze clan heeft het in het verleden geschopt naar de Storm League dankzij een groep spelers die hier hard hun schouders onder heeft gezet. Maar zoals je wel vaker in funclans ziet, stromen deze spelers door naar clans die een veel serieuzer benadering tegenover clan battles houden. Met onze huidige "we zien wel hoe het gaat" houding tegenover clan battles spelen we typisch battles in de laagste twee leagues. Toch zijn de extra experience en bonussen uit clan battles zeer de moeite waard om ons als clan ons hieraan te wagen. Organisatie Ons clanmodel was voorheen heel simpel met één Clan Commander die alles overzag, met een paar mogelijke posities voor recruiters voor de fanatiekelingen die zich echt willen inzetten. Intussen heeft GEUS zich ontwikkeld naar een punt waar we een echte vaste club hebben waaruit toch een echte officierenstaf uit is ontstaan die zich inzet voor de clan. General info Because fun and sociability comes first, we don't consider stats important, and try to limit our rules to a minimum. The most important thing we ask from our members is that when they're playing during evenings, they're also present on our Discord. Discord is used to chat with each other during playing, and sharing both sensible and non sensible things with each other. When playing together, it goes with a headset to talk with each other, and we consider it immensely important that new members see the importance of this. The activity of new members, both in game and on our Discord, during the first month in the clan, gives us an impression whether someone fits in GEUS, and ensures we're getting to know each other. We do maintain a minimum age of 25 years for our members. Clan battles As a funclan GEUS also plays clan battles. This clan managed to enter Storm League in the past, thanks to a hard working group of players. But, as often seen in funclans, these players move on to other clans with a more serious approach towards clan battles. With our "we'll see how it goes" attitude towards clan battles, we typically play in the lowest two of the leagues. The extra experience and bonuses from clan battles are certainly worth the effort for our clan members to adventure into clan battles. Organization Our clan model used to be very simple with one Clan Commander overseeing everything, with a few possible positions for recruiters and fanatics who put in extra effort. Nowadays GEUS evolved to a point where we have a solid group of officer staff that have put in extra effort for our clan. For a bigger clan, this is a necessity.
