Hey man, you're absolutely right. Since you're here asking questions anyway let me try to put in some constructive criticism. Is Petgutt your ingame name? Looking at your stats does not paint a nice picture. Your average damage is very bad for someone who plays high tier destroyers. I think you should start watching some YouTubers and streamers to learn how to use your ships. Start with Flamu on Youtube, he has video's up for almost every ship: Also iChase covers a lot of basic stuff you probably need to look at

My advice would be to stop using the IJN line of destroyers for now. US and SN destroyers are just more reliable damage dealers. It is hard to get consistent results with torpedoes (of course we have the gunboat IJN line now but it is debatable if they are not actually better torpboats at times). Try to get a high skilled captain asap. It's easy to think it will come naturally but you need incredible amounts of XP the higher you get. Use flags, stack them with camo and daily win. Especially for your most played class (destroyers) it can make a big difference. You can also start being a little more aggressive, which would probably be good for your performance. -

This has been discussed to death, but skill based matchmaking does not mean you only face players of the same level. In a team game the sum of the individual skill determines the matchmaking. So 10 potatoes can be paired with 2 unicums to fight 12 medium skilled players. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrueSkill Win rate, as a measure of skill, would lose importance. In an elo-based system winning once can have a huge impact if you faced higher skilled opponents. And vice versa. A skill based matchmaking system does not mean balance is found every time, to a degree you will still face better or weaker teams and the system will account for that by rewarding or punishing you according to the opposition you face. Who you r team will face depends on the number of available players to balance, for example. -

I would say no. If only because this idea is overly complicated, at least the unexplained bonus malus system and the part under 3. If you are too leet to play with petty randoms, don't play with randoms but go competitive or whatever. I wish people would understand that pubs are just pubs. It's the same in every game out there. -

Don't sail away but try to stay at that perfect distance between 5 - 10 km. Use all turrets. So if he is coming at you, angle slightly away. Avoid the fish and make use of the opportunity when he is turning to launch them. -

No it's working as intended. Because of randomness you get this once every few salvo's. Also German BB are known for having bad accuracy and you need to go < 10km to make the secondaries work anyway.

Dunkerque has quite low caliber at 330mm, and should be able to pen / citadel a tier VI cruiser just fine. Dispersion made you hit superstructure that's all.

Can't hop on right now, but it should be very easy. Just download the installer and follow the steps. The only thing you need to know yourself is the server address you want to connect to.

So many things. The worst was I didn't understand to fire torpedoes in the white line until Isokaze or Minekaze. Just tried to predict with pretty terrible results. Also it made sense to me to use full broadside on everyone so that I could use all guns. Upgrades also weren't used on any ship until I reached at least tier V. Same for premium consumables. Basically I did everything wrong.

Practice shooting in higher RPM ships, because they allow you to adjust aim more easily. Just play a couple hundred games shooting at fast targets, slow targets, far away, targets, close targets. You get the idea.

IMO, it's best to go for battleships and destroyers. They have a more distinct role and therefore ar easier to learn. Although destroyers are in no way easy, they have some reliable tools that you can get the hang of quickly (smoke, torpedoes). Best advice for a new player however is to just watch some good players on YouTube (Flamu for example) or their streams. If you watch the stream you see their choices in more difficult games also, while YouTube vids are just roflstomps.
