    Bug Reports

Both bugs remain on the Public Test version 7.2. How can I play cvs when I can lose all squadron messages at any time? All sound adjustments have had no effect, and sometimes the sounds drop off even before the first "squadron 2 ready" comes up. A restart of the client can restore the squadron sounds, but they can be lost again as early as the next sortie.

    Bug Reports

Since version 7.1, I have noticed the following bugs: (1) With cv controls, double-clicking the squadron number centers the map around that squadron. Double-clicking the "7" no longer has this effect, though every other number 1-6 and 8 work as expected. This occurs in ALL cv games with a squadron 7. (2) Almost randomly, and sometimes every single cv game, squadron sounds drop out during a game. Expected performance: squadron 2 (and others) say "ready for takeoff" "under attack" "returning to ship" etc. as appropriate. Bug encountered: Without warning, and sometimes in mid-message, the squadrons stop voicing those messages. It's always ALL squadrops, and ALL messages. Occasionally, there is a soft click instead of message playback. This continues to the end of the round, and to the next game. There is an extra sound on returning to port, like the sound when a captain has been dismissed. A client temination & restart restores the squadron messages BUT these messages can drop off again later in the same game. Pattern: about half the time, but it can also occur in many games in a row. Random, Coop and Training room as well. Sometimes, this bug occurs after the first squadron has taken off, and the second one is launching. However, the other half of the time seems random. I played around with my sound settings, but have been UNABLE to find ANY setting where the bug does not occur. I've used WGCheck on my game clients, and found only "Extraneous files found." (maybe my screenshots?) I do not use any mods. I have this bug on my EU client, as well as NA, SEA, CIS and the PT version 7.1. (Yes, I have 5 different clients installed with 5 different launchers)

    Event Calendar December - Feedback

Feedback for: 07 December - 14 December: Battle of Pearl Harbor I do like the multiple stages of the mission, and how each stage gets progressively harder. I like the extra awards, that are quite desirable such as the port slot and commander. I also appreciate the attempt by WG to get their player population to play a variety of ships, as well as encourage the player base to use the new dynamic division feature to help them attain their goals. I dislike the reliance on RNG and lucky MM to be able to do the missions. I also dislike the skill level required being so far beyond the average player. Specifically: 1 - win any battle with a battleship for a flag. -- A nice start... any battleship in any mode... just try out a battleship somewhere (and win). 2 - shoot down 30 planes/damage 15 modules in cruisers tier 4 or higher - For players who use cruisers, a dynamic division with a cv player (when they find one) will eventually lead to the successful completion of this stage. I would think the majority of the player base has a cruiser, though the goal might take some grinding to get. 3 - with cv tier 6 or higher, sink 2 ships, cause 5 floods, hit 5 bombs in a random battle. Problem here... many players do not have cv tier 6 or higher. No cv = end of mission = not good. And for those with cvs (like me) it's an easy mission. 4 - with DD tier 6 or higher, 100K damage and sink cv. Couple of problems... if there is no cv, there is no chance for completion. And 100K damage is a tough game for a DD. And sinking the cv when there is one, while able to help the team for a win, would be just lucky. I suspect even the DD players would find this mission to be next to impossible, even if they divisioned with a cv. 5 - almost don't have to read this one, as few would make it. Getting a Kraken is being a good player, while having good MM, and having a lucky game. Possible, but quite unlikely. How many people did this with the Boot Camp missions? In sum, these weekly mission are a nice change and have good potential. Perhaps modifying the mission requirements so the EU average player, with an average port, can succeed if they played an above average number of games for that week.
  4. Don't give up hope yet. As of 8/25 0001 hours EST (east coast US-the time of this post), the NA server is running 5.10.1, and the EU server is running 5.10.0. Therefore the same client program cannot be used for both NA and EU until EU updates to 5.10.1. Perhaps it will be updated shortly...
