Oh great. I didn't get the camo for Nevsky. Some people in my clan had the camo even if they didn't have one in Moskva. I demand a compensation because my delicate and snowflakey poet soul is scarred for life (again)!

No, not like that. The torpedoes do lead pursuit and they seem to stop homing related to the calculated point where the ship velocity vector and torpedo velocity vector intercept each other. This point can reside far ahead of the ships bow making it seem that the torps home right up until it hits the ship. Needs more testing tho. I'm not 100% sure about this, Just something I've grown to suspect when seeing the torpedo behaviour. I can also be very wrong too, so nothing is for sure.

They seem to stop homing once they're a certain range to the calculated impact point. There's the difference. This of course seems to be a bug since devblog says:" when a torpedo comes within a certain distance of its pinged target, it will stop homing and continue in a straight line."

Developers invent mechanics they themselves want - Ie. gameplay where the opponents can't do a thing and the player himself can feel the power of omnipotence and dominance over other players. -
DDs need targettable ASW with range aswell. Currently DDs have no business going close to the submarine because the red team will kill the DD very fast.

The torpedoes do lead pursuit and the calculated impact point is the distance to where they stop homing. That's why some of you guys see them home right in up to the stern. Easy fix: calculate the homing distance to the target and not to the impact point. -

Come on Crysantos, you're better than this. Don't think we're utter fools. PvP gameplay isn't limited to random battles only. When we're done with all these steps, we'll be able to decide on the final fate of submarines. - this implies that decision to bring subs into random battles as a standard component isn't made yet. -

We aren't against subs per se - we just don't know any enjoyable way they'd be implemented in the game. And frankly, you guys haven't educated and communicated us enough to think otherwise. -

Now would be a perfect time for WG to put money where their mouth is. You said you aim to better your communication towards us players. Can you clarify what made you think submarines are ready for randoms despite the huge negative feedback that is present in the forums? -

Don't worry guys. They're so dull to play that only a few players will play them. And because so few plays subs they're balanced to the roof. Who will become the El2aZeR of the submariners? Place your bets! -
Competitive scene is a big marketing opportunity for wows. Why else would they have invest time and money for KotS? Currently CBs are a stepping stone for clans to enter KotS. Take away the CBs and your steady stream of clans entering KotS will diminish.

You most likely herded them in the wrong place. It's a delicate thing. Given how your own positioning is questionable based on that replay you sent, you can't expect to try to influence the game in any meaningful way yet. Learn to walk first before you try to run. -

Yeah, that's totally true. Sometimes you can "encourage" your team and use their tendency to huddle up positioning your own BB in such a place that the rest of the team like in a purely accidental way finds their positions in the correct place. Ie. when you get into the heads of the average player in wows you can shepherd them in the somewhat correct position with your own positioning. Russian BBs are especially well suited for this as they can withstand the fire coming against you. -

You with your blapping power and presence would have pushed their DDs and cruisers further back making their fire effectively much lower. Ie. what their BBs did to your DDs and cruisers. Their Nelson and Andrea Doria could push pretty deep into a control position between B and A because no one was taking cross shots from B where you should have been. -

If you can't get a balanced game mode then you balance the rewards.

CVs aren't as useful in the convoy mode as battles are close and the usual game breaking spotting the CVs provide isn't as useful. Also T8 CVs lack the DPM to quickly decide games. I played a lot of convoys in the PTS and tbh CVs are tolerable in this game mode - not game breaking like in the other. The Liberty ships will pop smoke when spotted. They sail in line so the first Liberty popping smoke conceals rest of the Liberty lemming train. It's a good balance as the Liberties have pretty small concealment range but the attackers still can damage at least one Liberty. The bad things in PTS about the convoys was that when players learned how to play the mode defending the convoy became pretty hard. Not sure how and if they have issued the balance inbalance when switching to live.

They are very quick and violent battles. If you like brawling this is the game mode for you.

NA does have an active thread about the non-fixing of the bug in the bug report forum. With Flamu videos ect. -
It's one those mods that those who haven't used it wonder why you need it and those who have used it swore by it's name. It's by far faster and more accurate to check the time to win in the screen instead of trying to do some quick maths on rule of the thumb basis. And besides why people even arque that you don't need it? Of course you den't need it when all the infromation is available already in the game. Just shrug off this thing, keep calculating and move on.

What it's worth - the mod once was part of the WG official "caster mods" package to be used for example when casting KotS.

Can you imagine any other scenario with a closer ending? Now imagine it and do the same calculations on the fly again. See the benefits of the mod now?
