All hope isn't lost after all. There's a new post about this issue by Sub_Octavian in the announcements section. Thank you for not trying to take the easy and stupid way out. Doesn't matter if the fix takes time but please fix it properly.

Asashio. You know where the BBs will be camping. Lob a few torps there and you will either win the game instantly or at least top the score when you lose.

All hope is lost. From S_O: this is one of possible fixes I'm not negative, I'm being realistic. We know how WG works. Introducing a delay to the minimap will be the fix for the rendering lag issue.

Yes they can, when a specific circumstances arise. Do the positives outweight the negatives? Imo, no. If you think this change as a 3000ms lag that's being introduced to spotting mechanic you notice that, especially at high tier, DD play becomes much harder.

This will lead smart DD players being in detection range longer. A nerf to good DD play.

I use a mod that shows me global WR of players that enters the match. I see 60% to 70% WR players alot. I do not see 40% to 30% as regularly as I see the other way around. The lower end of WR is below 45% but still above 40%. There are no 30% or below WR players at T10. However I've seen 2 CV players with 80%+ WR at T10. The distribution of WR in random games doesn't follow standard normal distribution by my subjective experience.

So in the long run we all should gravitate towards BBs? And those of us that have many thousands of games under our belt and haven't switched out to BBs are just really slow on the brain department? Good thing no one has ever found any large holes in the rational choice theory.

From patch notes: A ship's icon on the Minimap and its silhouette in the battle will be rendered simultaneously, eliminating cases when a spotted enemy ship's icon appears on the Minimap first before the ship gets drawn on screen seconds later. You're welcome to test the new feature during the Public Test of Update 0.7.4 and share your feedback with us! WG please clarify: Does this mean removal of 3D-render lag or introducing a render lag to the minimap icon?

Hi, Is there a mod that draws custom range minimap circles? Would love to have a 10km circle drawn around my boat to quickly and easily check if I'm inside enemy radar range. -

In team sports there's a psycholocig phenomena that says that when you take a personal resbonsibility for your team's success then your performance and consistency will improve. I'd say it's at work here in World of Warships aswell.

I have a feeling that psy field was introduced against back camping players. However in it's current form it negatively affects cruisers more than BBs. Cruisers are more dependant on their repair party consumable than BBs are. Change psy field from inhibiting repair party to inhibiting damage control party and make it affect BBs only. This probably will throw its effectiveness to overboard but then you will definitely have a means to force back camping BBs on the move.

What makes SBs fun is the broadsiding enemies. First torp salvo in a Firefly to the enemy spawn: 105k damage. 3 Zayas side by side under 10km broadsiding in front of a Galaxy. Alldestroyers ninjarepairing single fire and getting 3 permafires in return. Normally you don't see that too much in a regular T10 match.

Since we don't have CVs in CWs I used the hydro in my Z-52 as a screen for incoming torps. Using hydro directly against enemy DDs is, as you said, not applicable. 2km more torp range for Z would increase the likelihood of dislocating a pesky radar. Currently trying that in a Z-52 is too risky for my taste. And yes, been running Yueyang in CWs ever since. -

Give Z-52 torpedos 2km more range and it will become the goto ship for CW. I'd say WG has balanced DDs good enough when there is only a very small change that would flip the optimal choice. Yueyang is optimal at the moment but only by a fraction. -
It's very easy to think inside your own head that it isn't you that fails but it's the team that's to blame for the failure. However it's extremely difficult to make other people believe that conclusion aswell.

I actually understand where you're coming from. WG should implement a "made for beginners" - "intermediate" - "pro" level rating for the ship it sells. There sort of is but you need to rely on wadeing through plethora of youtube vids of different quality which isn't fun nor easy for a beginner. edit: Oh and about your comment about that GS vid:" Piss off with your vid, he had free shooting gallery there. " He didn't have a free shooting gallery just by chance. World of Warships is all about positioning, positioning and positioning. If you can remember that you're better player than 80% of the player population and on your way to a glorious blapinfested gaming experience.

WG, this kind of question what OP makes is a clear sign that the skill tree is too complicated for the average player to comprehend.

Heh, definitely not. Running it on all of my DDs. I've been even known to take RPF before CE which made my clan members question my sanity. -

It pretty much boils down to this: Do you want to be a BB farming damage dealer or an ultimate cap bully? If you want the latter then take RPF. With RPF you can be much more aggressive with your positioning as knowing what ISN'T there is as invaluable information as knowing what is.
