  1. The rational expectation is that if coop and ops becomes too challenging for the reward they give the potatos will find more easy playground. In this it is the random games where sub 45% WR players will on occasion land on a good team due to rng MM that will carry them to a victory. Let the potatos stay on coop and ops by not making them too challenging.

  5. It's an age old thing. It isn't changing so we just have to live with it. Just be prepared to be thrown the game by someone who needs the tasks done.
  6. It would change radar utility. Nothing makes me smile as much as radaring in my Yueyang or hydroing in my Z-52 the poor cap contesting enemy DD behind the island for my teammates to shoot at.

    RPF is a hydro multiplier on a Z52. Ever popped your hydro "just in case" if there's someone hiding somewhere? RPF tells you exactly if there is or isn't a DD hiding/topring thus you will keep your CD and charges for the time when it's really needed.

    Here's a tip when torping bots: Aim the torps with marker but press "X" before you let go the torp volley. The bot AI "sees" only targeted launches so you can circumwent this by deselecting the target before launching.

    Actually you will become more confident about your assesment of the enemy positions. Before RPF you could only make educated quesses if the enemy bailed the cap completely or is just repositioning for a new try. With RPF you know the exact moment he decides it's your cap and moves to other easier cap pastures. RPF is a tool that reduces the amount of known unknows and unknown unknonws in a DD play. Altough, only if you can read what rpf pointer and the way it dangles around tells you. That comes with experience.
  11. It's getting worse indeed. There has been a growing number of games where the enemy BBs see an Asashio on the lineup they're facing. They stop pushing and start to kemp preferably making passionate love to their newly found island waifu. The most extreme cases run towards the extreme corners giving me a total of 1 to 2 torp hits in the whole game. I'm forced to do something I'm told the Asashio is incapable of: cap and fight other DDs. What kind of life is that for an Asashio?
  12. It's not like we don't know it's stupid easy to do with a KMBB. I'm constantly broke so had to do it with I had in port.
  13. Been doing this mission with a Hindenburg. 2 coops, 125 and 168 secondary hits respectively. Absolutely no specialization on secondaries whatsoever except AAM1 upgrade.

    Scenarios to hard for random teams

    I run a statmod and the predominant player in scenarios is the sub 45% WR guy. There's almost no one that's modestly good at 50% WR mark. I have a hunch that that's because the fifty percenters can't carry the sub fortyfivers they figured out there's more XP/h and credits/h to be made in the randoms and moved there. What then happens at scenarios is what @Havaduck describes above. Lower the skill level and make the fifty percenters want to play scenarios more. That would make the sub fortyfivers want to play scenarios as well and that would increase the overall random battle experience. Or that's what I would want to believe.

    OP has a point. It used to need only 1 to 2 competent players to win a scenario. Now you need 4 to 5 for the same outcome. Since most competent players are usually playing randoms we're left with the leftovers. Scenarios used to be the relaxed winding down -game mode that was fun without needing to keep your A face on all the time. Not any more.

    If you end up running a DD with AA build with your CV buddy here's a quick tip: Using DFAA when a carrier cross drops torps on you makes the torpedo evasion hard mode. Cool to impress chicks.

    My goto ship for operations is AA specced La Galissoniere. 203mm doesn't need IFHE and AP citadels all the things. Manual AA with DFAA swats everything out of the sky.

    How to improve WR quickly (in case you haven't done these already) -Enable alternative battle interface -Enable "ship names in minimap" -Smash + button repeatedly. Instant increase of situational awareness.

    Asashio Contribution to capture: 34% At least when you only play randoms, it's pretty strong boat to cap with.

    1. Description Scenario battles any other than scenario of the week battle wont start with less than 7 people in the division. 2. Reproduction steps. -Scenario battle -Any other scenario than scenario of the week -6 people in the division -Ship choice doesn't matter -Start battle 3. Result After pressing "battle" game disconnects for all participants after initial loading screen. 4. Expected result Fierce battle against bots!
