Twice in the last month my building lost power during a WoWs match, and each time I was issued a "disciplinary penalty" (aka pink status) for it. No big deal, the penalty lasts only 3 matches, but why is that even a thing? What's the point, if I can't do anything about it (my UPS won't cover the ISP's hardware in the building)? I'm trying to imagine some king of farming scheme involving starting a match and hard-crashing the game that WG is trying to prevent... But even if that was the case (I doubt it), a) such scheme doesn't sound particularly efficient and b) treating everyone this way for sins of the few is just... weird. :-\

Regarding area-of-effect consumables (Radar, HAS, Defensive AA, etc.): Make them show on the mini-map for their duration, similar to Strike Aircraft, except that these would follow the ship producing them and they would only show for the friendly team. Preferably, with a distinct area animation for each effect, so that the team can tell them apart (spinning sweep for Radar, outgoing ripples for HAS, etc.). Currently, some of these consumables are announced when a player uses them - which is great - but nobody else on their team knows whether the effect is still active or what area it covers.

Funny thing is, I know I'm not very good (I play very sporadically), which is why I mostly stick to Co-op... and yet, some people still aren't happy. I do alright in Co-op and am usually in the top 3 of post-battle results, but all I get from my karma movement is that other players would rather play with bots on their team than someone trying to learn the game. All it does is make me think "why do I even bother?"

Is there a list of hidden mechanics unique to some nations / ship lines?

Like German HE penetration being 1/4 of caliber instead of regular 1/6. Or British AP having shorter fuse but better auto-bounce angles. That sort of thing. -
Player communication in battle: Make active abilities that benefit the team - like setting a Smoke Screen or activating Radar/HAS - automatically announce themselves as a quick message and a ship ping on the minimap, so that nearby teammates are aware of the provided benefits and don't need to activate the same abilities in unnecessary overlap. Since this would not be as useful to teams using voice chat, there would also need to be an option to disable receiving these announcements.

Why not adjust min/max tier a player gets matched against based on how he's been performing against them in a given ship for the last, say, 5 matches? For example: consistently in top 3 of the score board - gets +1 to min/max tier; consistently struggling to get out of bottom half - gets -1 to min/max tier. That kind of thing. I figure it would give better players better challenge and bad players some reprieve from being clubbed, which seems a bit more fun and less frustration for both.
