where can i suggest the creation/addition of greek battleships?
rnat replied to chris_von_dude's topic in Newcomers' Section
You can always open a thread, e.g. in the Game Discussion area, call it "fanmade greek techtree" or "suggestion for greek premium" ect and suggest a full greek line or a specific ship as a premium. Don't forget to explain which ship(s) (or drafts/proposals) you think should be a which tier, what would be their characteristics as a ship (and as a line if you have one), what makes them interesting, and why they would fit at that tier in your opinion. That said, i'd suggest sticking to proposing ships to appear as premiums, since you're listing far too few for a full line. Note that mine-sweepers aren't a class in game and wouldn't really fit primarily since they are not designed to fight other surface vessels.- 19 replies

Tbh, i'm kind of fine with the Izumo. (at least more than the fdg, i'm crap but sometimes that thing makes me despair ) She's by no means the strongest t9, mainly due to that weakness to cvs, rn cruisers and he, but her arcs are neat and reasonably flat, the guns have decent accuracy and enought pen and as a bonus the lack of superstructure gives you a bit of an edge in bow-on situations against other bbs and against dds. Having 1/3+ of your firepower facing rearwards is common to all t9 bbs, so it's not any more of a disadvantage than other ships. (maybe that's the reason why they picked this version ? either that or darts ^^) Completely agree on the last thing though, a 360° B-turret would give it some help and fit the (exterior) design. Possibly tweaking some soft stats as well, but it's already an overall decent ship imo.

Because this is not a game where Yamatos and Iowas plonk away at each other at 40+ km with a single digit hit rate*. This is an arcade game, not a simulator. All ranges were cut to make it more dynamic. Or do you Think the Bismarck was limited to 20ish km as well ? *sad thing is i'm sure the average player would if they could -.-
-
Was reported as well, which makes it the biggest reason i think it might be intentional. Then again, maybe a post-it "fell" from a monitor and that's why it's still in. *whistels*
-
Only thing i can think of (if it's intentional) is something to do with that riddle they ran on NA quite a while back. You could follow some leads to get a "stupid flag" (quoted from said Flag). Maybe this is related to "part 2" ? Then again i remember that gate being there and getting removed again ages ago(tm) so maybe, just a mistake. The crashed Czar on tears of the desert can prolly be filed under easter eggs, like the temples on mountain range.

How to not play Random Battles with ~70% Bots?
rnat replied to Cloud_Striker's question in Newcomer Questions
Is posted. Try contacting support as well, with some luck you'll get an answer sometime tomorrow. The earlier this bull***t mm is resolved the better. And if you want some matches in the meantime, as i said feel free to contact me when i'm on. -
On behalf of Cloud_Striker, who can't post because of the following: (Note: apparently those matches do not count towards his match total) 1. Description: Whenever I try entering Random Battles, most or all of my teammates and opponents are bots, unless I am in a division with at least one other player 2. Reproduction Steps: Start a Random Battle while not in a division, Wait for Match, Get bots 3. Result: In 100% of my custom match, more than half of the ships are controlled by bots. In one particularly severe case I even had only a single human opponent. Queue time appears to be normal, always under 30 seconds like the in-game window tells me. 4. Expected result: A normal match with mostly human players 5. Technical Details: Bug time: Occurred consistently over the course of the day whenever I entered a Random Battle solo; Screenshots of one such round;

How to not play Random Battles with ~70% Bots?
rnat replied to Cloud_Striker's question in Newcomer Questions
They have a template in the first post there. Basically it comes down to -What went wrong (you're getting that weird mm) -can you reproduce the error and how (i guess entering any random battle without a divison) -how does it manifest (possible further details, if you notice any like strange queue times, other effects) -what should ideally happen (normal battles) -when did it happen, replays and/or images of the lineups and if possible the log+dxdiag files. -
How to not play Random Battles with ~70% Bots?
rnat replied to Cloud_Striker's question in Newcomer Questions
Crap. In that case it's prolly best to send the ticket and maybe write a PM to Kandly. And if you want you can post your bug report here and i'll copy it into the relevant section. -
Or whichever key triggers takeoff/landing/return to carrier, if you've changed the control scheme (you can look that up under options) Did you give another order to your planes after they have performed the attack ? (or fighters after they ran out of ammo) Running out of Bombs/Ammo automatically triggers the return to carrier->land order, but if you give them another command after that, (possibly while they are still in the middle of the attack) that one takes priority and they will move to the designated spot/ally and just circle it until given further orders. That triangle with arrows is the patrol order: your planes will circle the ally and(if they are fighters with ammo) try to intercept enemy planes attacking him. With regards to your vanishing fighters: Plane kills are RNG-based, the higher the DPS they take compared to their HP the more likely they are to be shot down per fighter, per time interval. (It's actually a bit more complicated, but that's the gist of it) So if the enemy has stronger fighters, possibly buffed with Upgrades and commander skills, (and possibly some AA from enemy ships) you can have a streak of bad luck and loose them pretty quickly, while in other cases they can stay in the air surprisingly long. Lastly: T4 and T5 cvs are currently pretty weak. T5s are stronger, but that is mainly against other cvs (better fighters). You might have noticed how easily attentive enemies can dodge most of your torpedos. WG did this to avoid sealclubbing by experienced cv-players but that made them very dependent on having enemies that don't pay much attention. Basically you're getting a pretty watered down version of carriers until you hit t6, at which point you'll get access to manual drops and strafes, (though the enemy aa will start to be quite effective around then) If you come to like cvs though and manage to endure t4+5 it's worth it imo. Just be aware, that the skill needed ramps up at that point.

How to not play Random Battles with ~70% Bots?
rnat replied to Cloud_Striker's question in Newcomer Questions
I strongly suggest posting a bug report here: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/85943-update-0610-feedback-bug-reports/ and maybe sending a ticket to support, both with that img (and possibly other occurences) and the info when the resp. matches happened (if you have that on hand) That is clearly abnormal mm, that should (afaik) not be possible. Tbh, i've never seen something like this. If you're willing to try divi to get normal mm just hit me up ingame. that way you'd at least get some proper battles. -
La Galissoniere. If you don't have IFHE yet, Nürnberg is an option as well. Squishy as hell though.

How to not play Random Battles with ~70% Bots?
rnat replied to Cloud_Striker's question in Newcomer Questions
You're missing 90+% of the game and condemning yourself to eternally play with mostly newbies, but that's your choice. (no offense meant, everybody starts small and only practice makes one good) Now to your answer: There are no bots in random battles (unless a player runs one, but i don't think i've ever seen that and it's against the rules) The only way to see bots on the opposing (and sometimes your) team is to play coop or operations. But as i said, at t3 you're pretty much exclusively with and against new players, so ofc the standart is pretty low. Also not everyone speaks english or is wants to use chat, so some might not respond. Either that or you haven't switched from coop to randoms yet, i belive you have to do that manually after reaching account lvl 3. -
A New Feature: Real Night Battles! + New Premium IJN Cruiser
rnat replied to Reniwn's topic in General Discussion
it's in the pts-announcement and official patch notes as well, which is why i brought it up. nvm the 2nd pard -.- -
Or, yanno. Don't bother with coop. Play Operations for PVE (lots and lots of bots to shoot at), maybe randoms for more competent opposition (though for some teams that's arguable) And if that doesn't scratch your itch get a training room and 1v12 them bots ^^ Also, since when have guns fallen out of use? Bots are stupid, get a flank and wreck them. [edit]: omnomnomnom bait.

A New Feature: Real Night Battles! + New Premium IJN Cruiser
rnat replied to Reniwn's topic in General Discussion
They wrote about that in the last (or was it 6.8 ?) Patchnotes, they accelerated loading some assets, but not all textures: hence black. Should be fixed with the next patch. (At least that's what they wrote and i never had it happen on PTS) -
btw, if anyone is looking for a organized version of the above with table of contents, cf the forum:
-
Thank you for mentioning it, must have missed your last post Regarding the "curse", i kind of noticed a general trend towards getting uptiered in t7s lately. Don't know it it's just the natural progression or all the ppl playing more high tier to complete the Yamamoto campaign tasks.
-
Does not matter if they are in a Zeppelin, a Shokek, a Lex or an Enterprise, Kaga, Ranger, Ryu ect.. If they are rubbish chance is the enemy cv (if he's any good) will have a field day. No need to single out a single ship. (though whenever a premium one comes out it seems there are a lot of ppl who buy it before noticing they don't know sh** from shinola in a cv) good times for all the other cvs ^^
-
I second that. Maybe if you flood not even an explosions but a bunch of steam from the funnel when the boilers take water. Hopefully material for a patch in the nearish future.
-
At least in my experience there's a bit of a Moskva-situation going on with the Nelson, if that expression makes sense. Against higher tiers you can bounce a lot of AP, that would overmatch the Bow/Stern, off your side. At least i've found many opponents aiming for (or at least hitting) my angled broadside instead of lol-penning me. Any IFHE-cruiser is a bane though. Especially more than one. Fire can be healed back 100%, but 50% of the raw HE-dmg sticks and that can escalate relatively quickly. (Still has more sustain than most of her peers ^^) Minor quip: I find the gun-sound a bit lacking for a 16''. NC for example sounds so much more satisfying.
-
1) Izumo is worse at 19.2 (or .3 forgot which), Fuso is terrible for it's tier though. 2) Luckily those very high outliers are not that important because planes can't spot anything beyond 11km, prolly can't see that far because being high up limits their vision or something ^^
-
I kind of like the war drums, but i'd prefer a deeper, more satisfying sound for at least bigger hits. I've seriouly slapped someone that's what it should sound like, the "hiss" (missing the right word here) is a bit disappointing.
-
Or maybe your brain tried to spare you from seeing it ? ^^ At least as far as i remember, they added it seperately a day or two into the 1st stage of this test.
-
If i remember correctly this exact thing happened once before, so don't know if it's intentional, but anyway. Halloween event mission elements appear on Sea of Fortune map (see image in spoiler) Time of occurence: today, ~18:25. reproducible in training room battles.
