8) 8.1) Mostly yes, i'd amend 1-2 things though: The grey area is the health that is recoverable with your next heal. It's the minimum of your current recoverable dmg stack (stack) and how much your next heal can at most bring back (e.g. the ~13k of your Colorado) Any health that is recoverable beyond that is not shown until your current heal has been used up, at which point it will again show at most the HP recoverable with your next heal. For example if you have no heals left it won't show any even if there were 30k from fire dmg left in the stack. Only the maximum effectiveness of your repair consumable is dependent on your flags or survivability expert (SE). The potential health in the stack on the other hand depends solely on the type of received dmg and your ships coefficients, with the exception that SE allows more dmg to be accumulated in the stack before your ship goes down simply the virtue of having a bit more HP. 8.2) Yes. You can trigger it earlier with the same effect though, for example if you have some dmg in the stack and an enemy starts a single fire you know you will not put out you can trigger the heal and the fire will basically "replenish" your stack while the heal depletes it (note: a single fire does dmg slower than your heal recovers it). The game checks if there's HP in the stack with each tick of the heal until it's time runs out or it finds the stack empty, not only when you trigger the consumable. 8.3) Yes, though if your ship goes down while you wait for your next heal you'll waste even more potential. Ideally try to predict if there will be a situation in the next 3-5 minutes that will require you to expend a lot of HP (a push, a brawl ect.) If you can see one coming maybe trigger your heal earlier (unless it would have very little effect) so you have both more HP and your next heal available when that situation comes. 11) I'd say don't sell premium ships and only keep the tech-tree ships you like. Chances are if there's an event with specific restrictions, one of the ones you enjoyed will from the required category. If you're the type that looses sleep over that sort of potential problem (i'm similar ^^) you may want to keep the ship you liked most from every line. Note: There are almost never missions that require ships below T5 (WG does not want to encourage sealclubbing), so you're pretty safe when selling those. 12) Emergency Takeoff: afik yes. But fire-duration was reduced to 5s on CVs so it wouldn't make much of a difference anyway. RL: It will always point roughly towards the closest enemy ship, no matter the range. Manual Secondaries: No, the skill improves the accuracy of your secondaries massively in exchange for having them fire only on their priority target. (to select a priority target for secondaries hold ctrl to make the cursor appear and click on a ship until a cross hair with an A inside appears above them) Secondaries have a typically short reload and massively different ballistics from the main battery guns (you also might have different caliber secondaries with different reload and ballistics on 1 ship), so actually aiming them by hand would be rather indefeasibly difficult for most of the player-base for little gain in dmg dealt since their output tends to be massively inferior to the main battery.

He said he was running a tank-build. Taking IFHE is absolutely no use if you don't spec anything else into secondaries.
-
Dunno if i'd want it as a separate mode. Maybe just integrated into the map/mode rotation in randoms.

They're scripted (with some variability) PvE scenarios where the bots tend to outnumber you at any given time in the match. Can be loads of fun if you're into that sort of stuff and like to balance between stomping on your foes and getting zerged by them. Edit: Is it just me or does that sound like playing on a weekend ? No more of an exploit than randomly getting a TWA and OMNI div in the same team. Btw asking if it's possible to play with more friends does not mean it's a proposal to include it

No reliable one, at least not in randoms. This is deliberate, you can imagine what 6 or more coordinated and decent players can do to a team of random bobs. Best you can do is pick ships of matching tiers of ideally diverse classes and nations since MM matches teams according to both criteria and click into battle at the same time. For Operations you can have a division of up to 7 players though.

Just the usual... props to our absoultely "fantastic" DDs. Just the usual...

Pretty sure that was the Deutschland class. If you can provide a good source I'd love to stand corrected ofc.

Your Rep My Hinden, Zao, HIV (or any frenchie), Moskva, Cleve, Salem, Worcester ect. ect. i don't care your pick. I'm so looking forward to seeing you in random battles with that build

ST - new camouflages, UI improvements, new Yamato model

emphasis by me. @Sehales is the -50% a specialty of this camouflage or is it a typo ? -
No. RN DDs and CLs both are lines best suited for more experienced players. By all means give them a try, their gameplay might be right up your alley, especially if you don't progress past T4 where it's generally easier but be warned that it might not be as fun from mid-tiers on if you don't have the experience to make them work.
-
They can be but it typically either takes slow, heavy shells or shells shot from a distance to reach the citadel. Read: It makes them citadel-resistant but not citadel-proof.
-
That is only in competitive. In Randoms it also enables it to pen the central deck on German BBs.
-
I wouldn't put it on the Kirov tbh. The 180mm guns have 29mm pen, that's enough for basically any plating you can see at T7 (unless you desperately want to pen the Furutakas upper belt ^^) and IFHE is not enough to bring you into the 40mm+ regime some super-dreadnoughts have on their reinforced decks.

In my defense my advise was to switch only non-essential consumables (i.e. i excluded DCP, Heal and Smoke, how much use he'll get out of hydro is pretty arguable imo) Given his performance (didn't want to mention that explicitly tbh) running more than that on his ships is prolly just throwing good money after bad one. Sure he will do most likely do better with all-premium consumables but not to a degree where it offsets the additional cost. So until he starts doing significantly better in general I'll stick with my recommendation. Are you sure about that ? Iirc it's pretty impossible to actually loose credits on a premium ship (unless you're playing CO-OP) He might gain them only slowly but that's still a gain.
-
Does that mean you're only/mostly playing the T9 BB atm ? The economy is balanced such that without premium, economic signal flags or clan rebates an average players break-even point is at T7-8. That is the average player stops making money (on an average game) on their T8 or T9 tech-tree ships. This is designed to 1) encourage playing low- and mid-tier ships and 2) encourage buying premium time/premium ships ect. it's a business after all. So my working assumption is you have started playing higher tier ships on average and you're not skilled enough to make credits at that tier. (no offense meant, this is true for almost every player at some tier and certainly for most at T9) The first thing you could do is switch form premium consumables to standard ones and from a type 5 to a type 1 camouflage, this lowers the cost but also your income since you'll not be able to perform as well so it's usually best to only switch the non-essential consumables (defAA, hydro, planes, speed boost) to the free versions. The other, obvious solution is to either start playing some mid tier to get the credits you need, ideally using premium ships is you have any. (If you have none the Nelson is a good candidate that won't cost you any real money if you have the free exp) Or, if you don't have any mid-tier ship you like/no patience reach for your wallet and either buy premium time or a premium ship if you have none. Alternatively a premium camouflage significantly improves the economy of any ship, especially at T9+10 if you know you'll play that ship a lot since they are pretty expensive. Last remark: If you're bleeding significant sums with each battle you can take that as a sign that you're not playing that ship very well. Maybe it would be better to gain some more experience/get a bit better at the game before going back to it.

Mostly meme-builds, the only one i'd recommend without hesitation would be on the Massachusetts. She's a floating secondary meme anyways ^^ Will include that in the wall of text. Otherwise only GK and FdG really make sense as i consider the MN BBs way too squishy to properly pull off a secondary build.
-
Gonna go into a bit more way too much detail here and explain why and how it is useful. *warning: massive wall of text in the spoiler* TLDR: IFHE is immensely useful on any ship (except for German cruisers) sporting a 150-195mm main battery that can shoot HE, USN cruisers with 127mm guns and IJN DDs with 100mm guns.
-
German AP is devastating but situational, so it takes some skill to use properly. Rule of thumb for KB and Nürn is to just stick to HE unless someone gives you broadside sub ~10-12km. But as i wrote earlier and as you might have noted with the Omaha almost all T5 cruisers are hopelessly squishy. The notable exceptions being the Furutaka (good armor) and the Emile Bertin (absolutely no armor). If you're interested in getting back to the line later Flamu made some good commentaries:

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

Used to be a 3 pointer (watched some old Eurobeat to confirm) I remember that one because back then i thought 20km Shima torps+TA would be a brilliant idea. (torpedo spotting range ? never heard of it, literally) -

1) 57knots/2.5km detectability. This is literally worse than the 20km set on the Shima. 2) How old exactly is that ? Pretty sure she didn't have those when she was my No1 love-boat at T8. (either that or i ran TA on her and am too crap to remember ^^) 3) Iirc they mentioned that they are envisioning an Asashio-like play style for her, so i wouldn't take DW out of the equation yet. -

I think I may have found a teensy tiny gap in there ^^ Weirdly that's not the experience i tend have. ppl either tend to clump up in ~2-3 groups (like in that match) or run off alone and then call CVs OP after having a ton of fun on their own. ^^ Then again ate 60k in rocket dmg and some fires from a GZ this weekend and didn't care. Nelson balans. -

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

After death the enemy Helena complained that he can't carry with 100k. Ironically i had to kill another 4 ships afterwards to turn this train wreck into a victory. -
In that case this is a question probably best posed to @MrConway or @Sehales (assuming the former recovers from invading Russia last weekend)
