    Montana and some idea

    1) off topic 2) If that DD isn't in some deep shi*t (several ships trying and able to hit him and/or low hp) an 8km-yolo against a bow-in BB is perfectly doable in a soviet DD, especially at low- and mid tiers.
  2. - Yuro 2019 H.L. Mencken So I guess that rework is never going to work ever for anything. ^^

    Captains skills

TAE is imo preferable on the IJN torpedo-line, USN, Pan-Asian and possibly the KM DDs.

    German BB 2019

That's because that's where you and your opposition are more evenly matched skill-wise. ^^ GL with the other lines as well and have fun with your Kongo :) Feel free to ask any question that comes to your mind. You'll generally get help quickly as long as you don't behave like a bell-end yourself. ^^

    German BB 2019

You're not gonna like it but i'm gonna be honest, this is mostly a l2p issue. Rushing through the tech-trees in this game is a pretty bad idea and leaves you lacking the knowledge to make your ships work when you get to higher tier. Trust me when i say, that if you had gone up the USN or IJN tree you would face very similar problems. Their guns tend to be more accurate but they eat more dmg than the KM line at the same angles. I'd strongly advise you to go back to T4-6 and play your ships there a bit more. Ideally start going up a few more lines and stay at those tiers for a while. Understanding the different ships, gaining experience in situational awareness, positioning ect. It's a much better experience when you know your stuff imo. Last note on the Bisco: It's still a fine ship, capable of pulling it's weight and more. For an example of how to play her check out for example Flamu:

Giulio Cesare Bow armor Ninja Nerf

There are people data-mining the client after every patch, looking through the numbers. There's also the running statistics on ship performance. While the latter are not that reliable due to changes in play-style and meta over time they can still give an indication. More importantly is the former. While WG and affiliates would have a strong incentive to hide and deny such changes (assuming they really performed those "ninja nerfs") your hypothesis requires (almost) all of the data-miners to either have a conflict of interest or just not tell anyone every time such a thing happens. (which would kind of defeat the purpose of bothering to scour through the files in the first place) The same is true for any whistle-blower within the company ( Forgive me but to me that sounds rather unlikely. See, here's the point: You are right in stating that there COULD be "ninja nerfs". I could for example be smart and irresistibly sexy or Donald Trump (spoiler: I'm neither) The important thing is that IF there WERE such things one would expect to have seen evidence of them at this point.

FIFY Note how you're switching the burden of proof here. You call it a scam (without evidence) and demand for him to prove you wrong. That is not how logic works.

    the "carry harder!" thread

Lost this one by ~10 points (hooray for standart battle) and I'm kind of kicking myself for that. If i had completely focused on the Vladivostock at the end instead of trying to reset the cap i might have narrowly sunk him and flipped it. T_T (Then again with top tier BBs+DD chasing the enemy CV all game what can you do) Props to or Leander tho for trying to save this by blocking/trying to cap their base as well.

    Omaha captain build

The only planes that spend any significant time within that short range AA are DBs, for all others they are out within a few seconds at most and only pass through after they aleady dropped their payloads. You typically get a free re-spec after every CB season. (assuming you played at least 1 CB match while it lasted)

    Omaha captain build

If you want to buff your anti-air capabilities I'd say buff your fighters. Weather you take option 2 (which would also make this captain pretty decent all following (but especially the high tier) USN CLs) or 3 shall be left to your tastes. The Omaha does not have enough AA-power to make buffing it worthwhile (this includes the C-hull as well), unless ofc you're not giving up anything else for it. Another option is to ditch LS if you don't find yourself needing it when the next free respec comes around and take SI and DCfF. AFT is the most useless AA skill in the bunch. And MAA is questionable since even the C-Hull Omaha has no real AA worth mentioning. Not like he has enough skill points free for a 4 pointer in any case. Also the C hull promotes the AA from "not existent" to "completely insignificant", at least for T6 CVs, making this a bad option imo. He is running AR instead of EM.

    Playback of old replays

I can only say it should be possible since i know of at least 1 person that has or used to have those old versions (pointy haired jedi), but sadly i don't have any knowledge on how to do this.

    Priority target

If you have any question regarding the game feel free to ask. In most cases someone here will help you out :)
  13. rnat

    Priority target

You are correct. That consumable is only available on the planes of T6 and above CVs. The fighters the carrier itself launches are triggered automatically and don't require any input from your side.
  14. The Soviet BBs are still in early access and can only be acquired via the missions you can get from containers (for the T5-8, the rest is currently unobtainable) The exp- and credit-prices displayed are there to give you an early heads-up how much they will cost, nothing more nothing less.

How do you aim attacks with planes?

Ideally (coming from the side) you want the aiming triangle in front of your target (w.r.t its course) (or behind if he's reversing) when the attacks is started, the amount depending on his speed. That way you won't have to move you planes as much during the target run to get the right lead. It comes with experience, as you probably noticed. For the distance feel free to start from a bit further out to give your planes more time to aim. Release when the end of the orange sector (torps in the water but still need to arm) is just off your targets side (adjust depending on weather the target is turning into or out from your attack) Just be aware that your maneuverability during a target run is greatly reduced, so you want to start from a good position and make sure your target won't turn too much during your attack. For example if your target is aware and already shows signs of turning away (or into you) don't attack straight away and try to get on his flank (or rather where his flank is likely to be when your run commences). This only really works on BBs, the higher tier the better since low tier BBs and cruisers are usually able to bring their rudder around in time to thwart that attempt. If that gives you problems you can try the RN-CV line. Their torpedo spread tightens so quickly that you can pretty reliably start the drop at sub 3km and still get the tightest possible dispersion. Your problems might be caused by you releasing your bombs way too early. The target you see before you start the run is i think where your circle will be when it reaches its smallest size* (i.e. most accurate), assuming you don't maneuver (too much) during the drop. That point is not during the climb (which is what you are describing here) but later during the dive. In the game the DBs travel at an altitude that would not allow for a long dive (=> more time to aim for you or the target to react**) if they started from that height, so when you initiate the attack they will first climb sharply and then start the dive. The game allows you to drop your bombs during the climbing phase but at the cost of accuracy. (also it has the sub-optimal camera-angle to make it more cinematic i guess) I suggest you wait until your planes actually start the actual dive-portion of the attack, at which point you will be able to see the target and reticle clearly, while also benefiting from the better dispersion and being able to use the forward-movement during the dive to adjust your aim if you underestimated the required lead. *Sorry, i might have been wrong about this in my earlier answer. was rather sure of it at that point but didn't really pay attention to it with DBs at that point. Admittedly i myself am still very much learning in the new CV-system. I know most of the mechanics and I'm decent but not an authority by any means. **Still not enough for the target to do anything meaningful but hey it's something ^^

Looking for a Clan to join.

For others, reading this later: In general it's best to contact a recruiter or officer of the clan you are interested in before applying. Ask if they are looking for new members, in short show them there's a human behind the application. Otherwise all they see and thus all they can judge you on are your raw stats and few clans bother to contact an applicant and get to know him if they don't like your stats already. The other way is to go to the clan-section on the forum and either open a thread to notify recruiters browsing the forum that you're avaliable here: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/forum/509-looking-for-a-clan/ or check out the recruitment threads for a clan that might fit you and talk to them here: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/forum/508-clan-recruitment/
  18. Who needs 3rd party software ? If that happend not more than 30 games ago just go to your WoWs installation directory, look for the folder called replays and upload the game you're talking about. Time, map and ship are in the title of the replay.

how to play king george v

You can think of it as a very fat Myoko. You get overmatched a lot, but you're relatively tanky while angled, relying mostly on the high alpha and fire chance HE unless someone gives you broadside.

    the "carry harder!" thread

As always: Abandon all hope, ye' who enter a random battle on a weekend. Or on a Monday. Or Friday. Or on a day. (I know i still suck in CVs but hey, at least i'm trying. ^^)
  22. As Pete mentioned how would you distribute the attempts ? If you hand them out on a first-come-first-served basis you could have cases where either 1-2 unicums or potatos playing early can use up a significant portion of the attempts, leading to massively skewed results when compared to the clans average skill level. Similar things would happen if the clan is allowed to distribute them freely. All attempts would be given to the best players in the clan, most likely not reflecting the majority of members. If you distribute them on a per-member basis any member that can not play on that particular weekend will hurt the effort, same as now, but massively more so for small clans. The second point is that it would take potentially a large time-investment to make use of those attempts for significant disparities, which is fine on it's own (else it would be a free lunch for the small clan), but it could lead to undue pressure for members with less time to play significantly longer than they planned to use up all attempts. Lastly I don't think this will be addressed by WG in any case. Since (and I'm not gonna look this up) I would reasonably presume that the number of clans with less than 5 members accounts for an exceedingly small fraction of clans and thus an even smaller fraction of people playing in a clan. The only thing I could see work in ameliorating your problem (and I'm sure there's tons of problems with that too) is to allow any battle to take down more than the current exp-threshold. (I'd suggest 2) This would lead to a faster saturation for larger clans while at the same time still allowing a player to attain stars at a reasonable rate if they play well. It would on the other hand massively hamper medium-sized and larger clans with only mediocre players.
  23. Just mouse over the FXP in the credits&exp section in the after-battle report to see a breakdown of your FXP gains. At that point just compare the bonus to your normal FXP gain (i.e. 5% of total exp gained).
