    Depends on the situation. Is there a CA/CL or high AA BB nearby that could quickly close in and lend their flak to the mix ? Is the guy asking a DD pushing for a cap (or other position) and probably hoping for a nearby cruiser to tag along ? In any case you can assume that the guy making the request is hoping for all the help he can get, weather to grant fighters is your prerogative.
  4. If it's only about sanity i'd actually recommend the opposite. In the Rk 5-10 bracket most ppl are at least marginally competent and in the Rk 2-5 one it's actually rare to find complete potatoes (until the latter part of the season) Also best part about ranking out the this and the last time: Skip the complete potatos and go straight to the (mostly) reasonably competent. Edit: Also hooray for another "MM rigged" thread without evidence.

    I'd agree with you that it's mostly an issue with map awareness and predictions (both are among the harder to master things in the game). What i would suggest before picking a new waifu or start shooting is to draw an imaginary triangle on the minimap from your ship (i.e. where you want to park) towards the corners of your island cover. That way you'll know from which ships you will be hidden and it will also help determine who might outflank you. Cuz if you have that line in mind and an enemy ship is/was spotted pushing towards that line you can anticipate that and relocate early or stop shooting before he spots you. Try treating your minimap like the mirrors on a car. Quick glances relatively often will keep you updated on the movements of both teams pretty well. (try to aim for every 30s for now unless there's a high-priority threat that might pop up imminently ect.) Predicting the movement of your team and the enemy team is something you will get from experience and noticing patterns when keeping the map in mind. What you could do as well is switch to range mod for a bit. This will make your positioning a bit more forgiving by allowing you to pick safer spots and still be able to hit stuff

    If it was only that. I mean you can mostly toss out anything that's not banter between to acquaintances and is written in German (or Polish, Portuguese as far as i've been told) as toxic rubbish. What annoys me is that the most blatant garbage more often than not comes form ppl that are obviously German. And we haven't conquered that much of Europe yet afik ^^

    Based on what you're writing i would say no you didn't really. The flooding nerf took away the biggest DOT-threat*, which especially affects DDs and even more so CVs so if anything it should have become easier to survive it. *that is the one most likely to kill you if you eat a full duration one

    Probably the equivalent of 100% ship HP (since that's all that matters here). The only question is weather the "targets" tier is fixed (unlikely) or scales either with your own tier, the maximum tier or some averaged tier of the ships in the respective battle. Presumably it's one of the latter 2 since they make the most sense in a risk/reward sense.

    I'm just gonna continue exposing how crap I am in CVs. ^^ 2nd one isn't about me but the poor enemy Musashi. (Their CV tried to AP-bomb our Khab for half the match and that's just where it starts.)

    1) Yamato is better at mid-range and up, the VMF BBs are for mid-range and below. They have different roles in the game. 2) Have you seen the CCs play / comment on the Slava ? Currently it's stupidly powerful and promotes back line sniping which is the last thing anyone should want.

    From T6 on they are good or very strong in capable hands. That being said they scale strongly with the players situational awareness and skill. Pro: -High DPM (from T7), ludicrously so at T10 -improved AP bounce-angles and arming thresholds -Decent AA, god tier at T10 -heal from T5, improved heal from T8 -smoke screens -good torpedos Con: -AP ONLY! weak to very weak against angled ships -floaty arcs all the way to T10 -limited range (but it's all you can really use due to above) -squishy as [edited]. open water gunboating is ill-advised -ppl know they are squishy and have smoke screens -> get targeted often In short you're usually gonna sit in your smoke or behind an insland and spam the ever living bejesus out of ppl that can't dodge. Very nice to ambush unsuspecting cruisers and DDs and rek them quickly tho.

    If you use the HE a lot in the high tier germans your positioning is usually poor. That being said with your battle count i'd recommend taking USN CAs or RN CLs for good AP performance. Not the easiest lines to play but easier to use AP in that others.

    They are slow and (at high tier) pretty sturdy by cruiser standards. They have anemic but very consistent HE shells and powerful but situational AP. So if you like to be the ship on the flank or surprise other ships and rek their broadsides it might be the line for you. And if nothing else works you can still HE-spam stuff to death.
  23. The RN CVs in the game don't utilize dive bombers, their "DBs" utilize a level-bombing run. So their larger number of bombs is spread over a much larger area (i.e. a BB or CV-sized target). Their Bombs, though numerous lack punch as well until you hit T10 and get the bigger ones on the Audacious. Before that they are best used against unarmored flight decks (which can land you some juicy hits tho) and to set fires. Personally i'd recommend USN over RN over IJN. For the USN they have relatively beefy planes and all of their planes are pretty usable without requiring too much skill to pull of a successful run and all types are useful. The RN has beefy but slow planes, their main selling point being their TBs that can make a turn and attack again within ~3km and still get full accuracy. The IJN is more difficult over-all since their planes are relatively flimsy but faster and generally (except DBs) need a longer time to aim making them more vulnerable to flak.

    That's why you're primarily trying to get away from the line of attack of the planes. If the CV isn't fast enough in getting his planes turned and doesn't predict you well it's pretty effective in ruining IJN-rocket dispersion.

    You can do something against IJN rocket planes due to their rubbish aim time tho. If he's trying to strike you (and not using fighters to keep you lit) keep your AA off and try to move away from his path as much as possible while shortening the distance to his planes at the same time. I.e. sail towards his planes at a shallow angle. This, while not foolproof in any way will at least assure minimum accuracy on his part.
